    I remember seeing a little simpler version of this method in a math book a while ago. Basically instead of memorizing the cubes of numbers from 1-10 (although doing so would help), you just have to remember the number 2837. This is because 2 corresponds to 8 and vice versa and 3 corresponds to 7 and vice versa. If you look back at the cubes table you'll notice that for every number other than 2, 3, 7, and 8, the units' digit of the cube is the same as the units' digit of the number. So to find the units' digit of the cube, you just have to check whether the number is 2, 3, 7, or 8. If it is, then write the corresponding number (if it's 2 then write 8 and if it's 3 write 7 and vice versa) and if it isn't then write the same number. Hope this helps!

      What is so great about it? It cannot be used to find, or help find, the CR of any random number you might encounter in your day to day calculations.
      (You will with overwhelming likelyhood NEVER encounter a perfect cube in your calculations, and even if you did, you will never know it is a perfect cube anyway)
      As a practical matter it is entirely useless

      Mohammad Adnan Khan No test will ever require you to find the cube root of a large non perfect cube without a calculator. And most tests will give you a calculator.

      By using the Babylonian method, a non scientific calculator, and paper and pen, to check an answer use Google or a scientific calculator.

      19^3=6859. 17.2679572 is an approximation, but most mathematicians would refer to it as the cube root of 5149.

      u r ans is 14 = unit digit is 4 no 4 remaining three numbers leavit single number is 4 so we have check 1 cube and 2 cube lower number in given place so lower number is 1 so ans is 14

    • @cipherunity

      The trick is only applicable for a perfect cube. In your case the number 4094 is not a perfect cube.

    • @37rainman

      +Don't M: Your efforts should lie in teaching people to find the cube root of ANY number to any accuracy desired. (In our lives, the talent to find the cube root of a perfect cube will obviously be perfectly useless, except as a parlor trick). Now make a vid on how to find cube roots quickly and accurately. Obviously it might be a chore because children are not even being taught to add subtract and multiply properly, and likely you yourself are a product of that pathetic environment

    • @hunterp913
      @hunterp913 6 років тому

      37rainman One why are you telling her what to do, two use a calculator, three what do you mean children arent taught to add, subtract, and divide properly you sound like a dad who complains that his kid was taught a different method then him
