but...what about the mesmerizing mis-en-scene - itchy head! ooh looky - airplane! billboard with man with sunglasses! car go by!...and the mounting suspense on the escalator - 'hey! you looking at me, bub?' 'doh!'
he's stated in interviews he wont film outside of australia unless its for an insane sum of money because he wants to be around his family. That may change now that they're both graduated/in college now
That grafitti you see at 1:00, "One Nation Under CCTV" in English instead of German, foreshadows that he would star in a film called "Closed Circuit" in the future.
Funny I remember seeing this the first time and thinking it was such a cool shot. It still is but the fight is ridiculous: 4 supposedly professionals engage in fisticuffs as opposed to using asps, tasers, pepper spray or their guns? And one operative gets Bana’s back and holds less tightly than a lover?
They wanted to capture him alive, at first. Also, pepper spray can bounce back onto the user, and it's even worse if you have someone trying to hold the target. Tasers simply aren't very effective. And by any normal reckoning, four guys is more than enough to take out one man. It's also very difficult to grab someone from the back effectively if they're struggling, or the same bigger then you. This guy was both. They probably would've won if he hadn't pulled the knife.
I think there is a cut right when he punches the first guy in the face. Crazy/ballsy to put the cut there! But it makes sense: the action sequence is so technical. I’m sure they had to do a ton of takes.
It was, wasn't it, I came across it by accident, because I knew Eric from the Hulk, but watched it and loved it, I know the actress' name, but I'm not brave enough spell it without looking it up I know it phonetically 😅🤣🤣, anyway main role "Hanna" did amazing in this, really good under the radar film it Anyone know where I could find it to download? Out of interest?
Great movie. Very good choreography. Very close to real life. The who pulled the gun 1st while kneeling would likely have got the shot off and ended it. But this is a movie and outside public not allowed to enter to spoil rehearsals.
@EGRJ of course not. There are many martial arts, but in most hollywood movies, it's mostly the same. Thanks for pointing it out. I remember reading about lots of other martial arts for other continents, but it's easy to forget when most movies show the same thing many times.
No it's not. This movie is rated correctly. Some good scenes, but very slow pacing for a supposed action movie and just very poor writing. A very forgettable movie.
The guy on the escalator needed Homer Simpson's "Doo Dee Doo." Worst tail ever!😂
You should have called this "Eric Bana FINALLY beats up a gang of assassins after walking for over two minutes."
Could’ve edited it from walking down the stairs…

When he turned green ........... Game Over!! 😁
What happened to Eric Bana,? He's a good actor.
Lacked the charisma to carry a movie, so he stopped getting the headline opportunities. That's not a slight on him or his acting, mind you.
@Hyperpandas I disagree.

@gabriel3888 I find your comment very sad.
guys, that was all one shot. unreal.
Edit: I think there is a cut when he punches the first guy in the face.

An Easter egg

Fight scene is funny af
I like Eric Bana’s acting from Black Hawk Down and the Hulk movie..
For me it was his simple The Castle and The Nugget.
Chopper
Love the grungy tone of the movie
If you don’t know exactly what you’re doing, those Steadycam rigs can break your back.
Too bad everyone uses hand-held shaky-cam now so you can't see any action.
That’s Hoot, a trained Delta Operator. Don’t mess with Hoot.
He literally fought like Adam West's Batman.
I guess I expected the Hulk to mess up Berlin....
Or Hector
This is one of the best movies of all time.
Excellent movie .....here it is Berlin
when the techno music starts - you know its going down

I knew this was going to suck.
But wow.
Was that unsatisfying.
He was really good in Dirty John too.
I'm pretty sure this one scene sold me the soundtrack for this movie.
Eric Bana would make a great MadMax.
ya know he would
Actually, I was thinking he could have made a great superman, while watching the scene.
1.34 We asked for a man from the CIA... NOT The man at C&A 😂
All in suits :D
A great movie, by the way...

@patrickhannon4217 I bought it here, on UA-cam. Just checked, and as of today, it is still available to purchase or rent...
@@drcolorado2025 Why is nobody here intelligent enough to write the freakin TITLE?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@auntiesemite9295 Hanna (2011)
Never heard of a "gang" of assassins. It kind of defeats the purpose of stealth.
that underground area looks very similar to one in the Hunger Game films

10000% more realistic and better than silly John Wick. And others
Love the graffiti on the wall. One Nation under CCTV 😅
Wick-lite.
An empty subway station. How convenient.
From hanna.
2011.
It is really unfortunate he was not given the role of James Bond. He would have been great.
The titel of the movie: "Eine Banane in Berlin."
Holy fuck this looks so badly choreographed.
I can’t figure out if he drew the knife from his own belt or the dude’s belt who had him in the hold from behind.
It's choreography already...
Horrible fake fight scene
Chopper rules
if you can get hit hard and keep going the battle is 75% won
Rubbish ..
What! He didn't turn into the hulk?
Why do they always distinguish themselves by wearing suits 🙄
They were making him angry...
Don't make me angry you wouldn't like it if Im angry 😂😂😂
bad guys should probably have just used the guns at the start 🙄
It's almost as if they weren't actually there to kill him until HE started using lethal force.
Great fight. Nice to see a fight doesn't need kung fu or other martial arts.
... Do you think all marital arts are East Asian? The whole point of this scene is to show he's a trained operative.
@EGRJ of course not. There are many martial arts, but in most hollywood movies, it's mostly the same. Thanks for pointing it out. I remember reading about lots of other martial arts for other continents, but it's easy to forget when most movies show the same thing many times.
Most lame and unrealistic fight scene ever.
All these comments and nobody intelligent enough to post the TITLE, including the freakin uploader!
This is an underrated movie
No it's not. This movie is rated correctly. Some good scenes, but very slow pacing for a supposed action movie and just very poor writing. A very forgettable movie.
Hoot vs The Turks.
Why is everyone wearing a suit?
Looks like the matrix
Assassins or baby sitters?
Eric Banana...
I note that the action occurs in daylight rather than the dark so there is nowhere to hide poor choreography.
I hate techno music
He doesn't look like he could beat up Mary Poppins.
Too bad , he made nonsense like Troy .
Turned this off halfway absolutely absurd and I always thought Blanchet and Bana were above this sought of nonsence.
Eric is hardly convincing in this role. His body lacks the flexibility and power, utterly...
You should do a better job then.
