Luke employed some Jedi Mind Tricks to score that first touchdown. And Cormier can totally get to a 1,000 yards this year... if you give him the ball 900 times.
Im totally fine with the short recap to get us into the main season in the same episode. I would love to be able to watch the streams, but usually am working when you go live. Edit: Chuck Johnson is a beast when we watch the game....simulated Chuck is well...
Chuck Johnson’s aura gives me Jim McMahon-Cutler vibes… like a “I don’t give a damn what coach just called, I’m running with this MF and running through anyone in my way.” 😂😂Chuck the Buck baby
just chiming in to say i really appreciate the pace of this series and beyond that it's just been a blast to watch. great job and thank you, cane. the johnson & johnson backfield is gonna be absolutely lethal in like a season or two
In Universe Jags fantasy football guide: C. Johnson: in full ppr, Johnson is one of the most valuable QBs in the league because of his scrambling upside. However, the picks make the former gamecock a more risky move. He could be a value pick after the first round of QBs are off the board E. Arrington: The diva receiver is possibly overrated because, while he makes the headlines, Easley and Thomas seem to have more trust from the QB. I’d stay away from him, especially with the injury, unless he falls to round 4-5 B. Thomas: one of the most underrated receivers in the league because of his quiet demeanour, could be a value pick K. Easley: not in the upper tier of TEs, but a stable option that gets the job done T. Benson and B. Cormier: whichever of them ends up taking the lions share of snaps will probably be a steal, but if they split the backfield neither will be a RB1 talent J. Johnson: A fourth round rookie that will most likely go completely undrafted, but if you’re desperate there has been some buzz that he will have a stake in the backfield as well L. McCaffrey: if you’re really desperate he should see some touches, but only until Arrington returns H. Tuck, T. Tucker and B. Strange: I would avoid.
Idc what anybody says, Joe Johnson and Chuck Johnson are brothers. Similarly built athletic white dudes that went to college relatively close, both in the SEC. Best new storyline 😂
That defensive line makes this team a contender this team really is that 2017 or 2018 Jacksonville team lol Great Dline, qb who turns the ball over to much but is a dawg, and a power back with speed lol
keep the recaps coming. i also think you should keep streaming the preseaon even though i dont watch them, its a good chance for us to argue about the team in real time
That Denver game was what the Jags needed. They played well, but lost, though you have some very interesting rookies who could be very good. Oh, and Cormier is there. I guess.
Throughout the years I’m really surprised that this form of Madden franchise content never quite became more common. Arguably the best balance of game play and team building. Back up slot corner signing never felt like they’ve mattered more in Madden like they do in these series
It's an easy comparison to make for any "gunslinger" QB who throws a lot of picks, but I don't think it's terribly accurate. Chuck is a much better scrambler (he surpassed Favre's career high of 216 rushing yards pretty early as a rookie). He's more of a Steve McNair type, all things considered.
I’m 18 and I’m literally living and dying by every play in the 4th quarter haha I love the excitement from you commentating it makes it so realistic!! I’m curious cane would you be interested to continue the series if you win a Super Bowl soon and maybe try and win like 3 in 4 years?
It's early, but I think you want to focus on scouting receivers ahead of this year's draft. It's time to prepare for life after Arrington, Thomas, and/or Easley. You should also try to take advantage of the strong FS class, as Cisco is going to be hit hard by age-related regression soon. The offensive line is still the weakest link on the team-- I think they're a big reason why the running game can't get going-- but there's really nothing to do but let them work through the growing pains. They're still a young unit that needs to develop.
@@ColtonWhite-p3k Remember, Arrington straight-up refused to re-sign. Unless the game bugs out and he forgets that, or changes his mind (perhaps because Chuck earns the Franchise QB tag), I don't think you can really count on him getting extended. Cane could always slap the franchise tag on him, of course, but doing that isn't going to be cheap, and there are a lot of big contracts coming due (Thomas, Moore, Short, Walker, JHA) around the same time. Someone is going to have to walk; even with the recent restructuring and the offloading of the Lawrence and Etienne contracts, the Jags are going to hit a cap crunch if they try to re-up the team's entire core.
@@lukascastor3414 well I think the whole “Arrington says he’s gonna refuse to re-sign” is just a bunch of bs that EA put in for a “storyline”. I’m sure if Cane extends a good offer and his motivations are decently in line with Jacksonville, he should re-sign. But yeah some restructuring might have to be done soon.
I think we need more outside run plays from under center. A lot of the carries from cormier got stuffed from like a draw play where the DT's pinched inside leaving no room to run to
This team reminds me of my Seahawks when they drafted Penny in the 1st and Carson in the 6th and Carson ended up being the better back like Johnson in this situation so far!
I drafted an 80 overall 6’4” fast receiver with 91 speed and was super pumped until I saw the 39 injury rating. He’s now missed multiple games in each of his first 3 seasons lol but damn he’s great when he’s out there
I'm noticing the same trend from the past couple years that the #2 WR seems to get the majority of targets and receptions. Might be a good idea to have Arrington be the #2 when he gets back. Just seems like it doesn't matter who is in that spot, that spot gets the most catches.
As far as the development of a young o-line, I find that focusing on their strengths rather than weaknesses early on makes them develop better long-term. Maybe try that so that their overall can get better and they can sim a bit better. Plus, the archetypes in this madden are a bit less rigid than in previous games.
I guaranteed an opening win in the chat of the preseason stream and lo and behold I was right. As usual. Not that I've ever been one to brag, I'm too modest for that.
I think you would like your auto sub sliders to look closer to 96/90 for HB. They pretty much sub off after a couple snaps or a big play which I feel is pretty realistic
Feed the rookies the ball until Arrington cones back. Then open it up. He'll go nuts 2 or 3 games. Then you can balance it back out. 3 different offenses in 1 season should steal you 2 or 3 wins.
Would yall agree that QB chuck johnson’s comp is Bret farv? Given the TD’s and interceptions and just being fearless with throwing it all over the field.
Just My Opinion - passing on QB "Greg Paul"(?) when he fell to you 2(?) drafts ago may come back to haunt you. Chuck is no long-term answer, more like Trevor Lawrence all over again (if cheaper). I see a step-backward.. but while rebuilding. Scout the QBs ! (Sorry it's a weaker class - as above, you may missed your shot?) PS - Love the recaps!! Streams (not just yours!) put me to sleep. Cheers
Offense so clean call it Johnson & Johnson
Luke employed some Jedi Mind Tricks to score that first touchdown. And Cormier can totally get to a 1,000 yards this year... if you give him the ball 900 times.
You should absolutely make Chuck Johnson a captain now that he's cemented himself as the starting QB for the team
Im totally fine with the short recap to get us into the main season in the same episode. I would love to be able to watch the streams, but usually am working when you go live.
Edit: Chuck Johnson is a beast when we watch the game....simulated Chuck is well...
Cane: "These Texans corners are amazing, we don't have a good matchup there."
"Chuck It" Johnson: "...and I took that personally."
I do think it’s worth letting Easley walk. He hasn’t been great enough to not consider the injuries he endures
I'm making Easley the grandson of former Seahawk Hall Of Fame SS Kenny Easley. It is now official series canon 😎
I noticed telfer had like 56 tackle when you drafted him . Stroud breaking both the first two sacks show why that is an issue lol
Super excited to see the CB Nate Bell build up an elite CB crew!
Chuck Johnson’s aura gives me Jim McMahon-Cutler vibes… like a “I don’t give a damn what coach just called, I’m running with this MF and running through anyone in my way.” 😂😂Chuck the Buck baby
Man that Texans game CJ getting sacked so much too realistic for my Texans oline issues
99 injury hurt with 13 carries
just chiming in to say i really appreciate the pace of this series and beyond that it's just been a blast to watch. great job and thank you, cane. the johnson & johnson backfield is gonna be absolutely lethal in like a season or two
It's a double video day! Hell yeah!
Luke McCaffrey definitely looking like a good pick up. I think he's definitely earned the wide receiver 3 spot for the rest of the year.
Tre benson vulturing that Xp at the end lol
Tbf he was the only rb who played well

I know this team's 53 man roster better than my favorite team! Always a great day when a Jacksonville Chuck Johnsons franchise rebuild video drops 🔥
That defensive line makes this team a contender this team really is that 2017 or 2018 Jacksonville team lol
Great Dline, qb who turns the ball over to much but is a dawg, and a power back with speed lol
Some 2 RB looks with both Johnson & Cormier would feed families
No more tears for the Jags with Johnson & Johnson at the helm
These double uploads are 🔥🔥🔥 (school work will have to wait)
keep the recaps coming. i also think you should keep streaming the preseaon even though i dont watch them, its a good chance for us to argue about the team in real time
Double drop. Doing the lords work.
You should absolutely stream the preseason and i love the recap videos. Also you should make Chuck Johnson a captain.
Another banger Cane! This series is awesome!
Also, hope the family is doing well Cane. We appreciate all the great content you put out
Love the preseason Recap I think its an awesome way to deep dive without the change of pace.
That Denver game was what the Jags needed. They played well, but lost, though you have some very interesting rookies who could be very good.
Oh, and Cormier is there. I guess.
Keep crushing it Cane!

Dude this is what we love about these series, giving me buccaneers series vibes thanks cane 🎉
Love these double uploads! Thank you for the amazing content Cane
A nice one two punch with the rookie RBs in a few years
“Corporate is asking you to find a the difference between these 2 pictures,”
> Chuck Johnson
> Brett Favre
“They’re the same picture.”

I just realized both of your first round picks were teammates at Georgia
Chuck Johnson in my head cannon is like a more athletic Jay Cutler.
Absolutely love this series
Unreal series 🔥❤️even in England at midnight this is getting watched straight away
That's what I like to hear!!
I’m 18 and I’m literally living and dying by every play in the 4th quarter haha I love the excitement from you commentating it makes it so realistic!!
I’m curious cane would you be interested to continue the series if you win a Super Bowl soon and maybe try and win like 3 in 4 years?
Telfair reminding me a lot of Devon Witherspoon with those blitzes

He’s definitely not letting Arrington or BTJ walk, they are getting extensions for sure. Easley will definitely test the market for sure though.

Nice little measure of revenge there against the Stroud Boys.
Unreal series 🔥tho i think that as this season has higher goals it should be a bit longer than the first ones
Chuck and his brother Joe are dominating the Texans. Joe was hoping to play for his elder brother.😂 25:22
I think we need more outside run plays from under center. A lot of the carries from cormier got stuffed from like a draw play where the DT's pinched inside leaving no room to run to
Love the recap

Cane you’re spoiling us today. Thank you :)
Yes
I don’t have 3 free hours today, I appreciate the off season recap
I love me some double uploads 💪🏻
That McCaffrey catch Shocked the shit out of me 😂😂😂
My Syracuse Dawg Andre Cisco!!😤😤🍊
Buffalo and Jaguars series uploads both in one day? Is this a dream?
Boogie Turner mention!!
I would probably let Easley go and draft a new TE.
That front 4 holy moly nfl better be on notice 😂😂😂😂
joe johnson looks like chuck johnsons little brother 😂
I drafted an 80 overall 6’4” fast receiver with 91 speed and was super pumped until I saw the 39 injury rating. He’s now missed multiple games in each of his first 3 seasons lol but damn he’s great when he’s out there
Cane: Houston looks awful
Texans: get a pick 6
Me, a Texans fan: guess you shouldn’t have said that
Luke McCaffery should play over Tre Tucker once Arrington returns, hes earned it
10:37 is the timestamp for anyone wanting to skip the preseason summary. I enjoyed it but just in case someone wants it.

Joe Johnson has to start, he looks infinitely better playing. He would have converted that run Cormier didn't in the 4th quarter.
Johnson wasn’t good either. Benson rushed well
I guaranteed an opening win in the chat of the preseason stream and lo and behold I was right. As usual. Not that I've ever been one to brag, I'm too modest for that.

Maaaannnn... looks like an offensive line trade should be in the cards for the deadline. We need an anchor.
OK, Johnathon Moore is never allowed to train in the offseason ever again.
I pray every day for EA to get Ian Eagle to announce in this game
Gotta get Benson in there man.
21:24 someone must’ve taught chuck Johnson how to slide
32:39 nvm…..
I’m gonna have to start one of these with the Falcons and see if I can win a Super Bowl!
Give Joe the ball more!
Chuck the new jameis winston
Chuck plays much better when you're watching than he does in the sim.
DOUBLE UPLOAD??!?! 🔥🔥
Feed the rookies the ball until Arrington cones back. Then open it up. He'll go nuts 2 or 3 games. Then you can balance it back out. 3 different offenses in 1 season should steal you 2 or 3 wins.
Phew, thought I was late, but I'm not that late.
wouldn’t mind seeing martin cooper take over travon walkers spot full time
Cane, did you ever figure out the play counts between your simming and the CPU simming?
Been trying to fire that out as well
Should look at tight ends this year
In my titans franchise in madden 24, my team always does terrible on the ground. You should improve the offensive line run blocking to maybe fix this.
So early it’s disgusting 😂
2nd really is early for a Cane video so I'll give you a like 😊
Benson should be rb3 and Johnson and former be each other's back up at reg, pw, and 3rd down.
Did you get Dominick Puni from the 49ers? He had a heck of a rookie year this year.
Anyone notice the Jags calling timeouts @27:30? lol
That was likely when Johnson got injured
@@MrHurriicaneLP They did take 2 before the Texans finally took one, assumed it was just a classic Madden bug
Have you thought about a Chuck Johnson extension as he's a 6th round pick and they tend to have much shorter contracts (similar to Dak Prescott)?
All draft picks have a 4 year contract, next year will be his contract year
@stantmf4702 you're right I forgot about that
Neither RB has been good, but I don’t think I ever saw Cormier even fall forward. Joe Johnson needs like 20 touches a game
Let’s goooo
Would yall agree that QB chuck johnson’s comp is Bret farv? Given the TD’s and interceptions and just being fearless with throwing it all over the field.
I think current Geno Smith is a good comparison
Jonathan moore..aka casey Hampton.

To be fair to Cormier he has 10 YAC on 11 total yards, run blocking abysmal
It makes less sense that Pickett "won" the battle given his QBR was lower in the preseason
Was Cane calling timeouts for content?
When's the last time this team had overtime? It feels like we got all our overtimes out of the way at the start of the franchise
Cormier is the better Rb at this point in the season
so when your playing well dont go to super sim cause the game will give the losing team the advantage.
Like 999 wooooooo
