As a Brit I would point out the public were very keen on Meghan at first, and highly supportive of her and the Royal Wedding. The public started to dislike her when she started to "lecture" them on the environment, and privilege Etc, whilst jetting around the world in a private Jet, to a variety of glamourous locations, having refitted her house to a cost of £2.5M to the British Taxpayer, and clearly using her Royal position to speak out on her personal agenda (this is not the deal we have with the Royal Family, they are expected to refrain from political comment, and certainly from the "Lecturing" of us the mere public). We were totally happy with her 'Skin' tone (as she puts it), but not with her hypocritical behaviour. She clearly has an axe to grind that she didn't get the "Princess" Tag, I can't help but think she see's herself as "Princess Diana 2" which since she is married to her son makes it all even more weird. If you look at Princess Anne's two children, Zara and Peter Philips, no titles, one an Olympian, the other played international Rugby for Scotland. No heirs or graces, no demands, just got on with making a living, it's called work Meghan........
As an average "Joe" in the UK, i couldn,t give a s**t who says what about who. They don't inhabit the same world that i live in. My main concern is feeding and caring for my family with very little money, not wasting millions on courting publicity

I along with most people would be understanding and happy for them if they left their roles GENUINELY for privacy - and focused on raising their child out of the public spotlight.
What I don’t get is that they are saying it’s “almost unsurvivable” to be under media spotlight, but then run away to Hollywood (out of all places) and sign lucrative corporate deals which puts them MORE in the spotlight. They pull out Archie and show him to the world whenever they think they can make more headlines.
Meghan is incomparable to Diana (although it is clear she wants people to think they are the same), because their intentions and motives are different. I never saw Diana chasing clout and multi-millions from Hollywood.

The problem with Harry and Meghan is they want a private life and media attention where they can “CONTROL” what they release about themselves. If all people in the public eye was able to do that there would be no bad press about them at all. We would never know Harvey Weinstein was a predator or about Andrew and his friendship with Epstein. The media will always expose the good and the bad no matter who you are.
Yes they wanted a normal life from royalty. All they wanted was to live a normal life. That doesn't mean they should go hiding.
As long as they remain in the media they will never live a normal life so which is it??? Continue to stay in the spotlight and be scrutinized or stay out of the spotlight and enjoy a peaceful life especially now they have baby 2 on the way I know which one I would choose.
But they don't have a normal life in any way. They have a high-profile public life, expecting to make $$$ off their names and (former?) royal status. MM would be at best a very minor celebrity without this marriage. If they want complete privacy, then they should perhaps emulate Edward and Sophie. The main information I hear about MM is her regular airing of grievances and claims of unfairness. They should move on and pursue more positive ventures. If they feel that the press is writing inappropriate information, then one quick Twitter response will do instead of a lengthy interview.

We welcomed Meghan in the U.K., thought she was a breath of fresh air. She had positive press coverage. I didn’t see one negative press report about her. It may have happened but 90% was positive. Only later did the press start saying that Meghan and Kate were not getting along. You cant demand 100% of press coverage be positive. If you’re a public figure this just does not happen. She says in the Oprah interview that she has already lost so much. Yet she was the one who chose to walk away from Royal life. Britain gave her a fabulous wedding that every woman in the world would only dream of. She had immense privilege. Still has. Yet she acts like a victim all the time. She complained that no one in the UK asked her how she was feeling. Doesn’t she realise how pathetic this sounds. I think of people who’ve been in concentration camps and other horrendous experiences yet don’t complain in public or play the victim. Several staff have said they felt bullied by Meghan. This is not the Palaces fault. Those people deserve to be heard. If anything the Palace protected Meghan by not investigating this when it started coming out a year or so ago. The royal family haven’t told falsehoods as Meghan claims in her Oprah interview. Every time the Queen and Palace speak of Harry and Meghan they always stress that they are loved members of the family, and very much still included. The Queen went through awful times for years when the press were unfairly critical towards her over Diana. We here all hoped very much that the Queens remaining years would be happy and stress free. Meghan’s statements must be very hurtful to her Majesty and the family. I thought of Meghan positively up until now. Sadly I suspect most of the U.S. will believe Megan’s story and not even wonder if Meghan was in fact a bully.

As one who worked there, I can say that, to the best of my knowledge, there was never an investigation into bullying by any Member of The Royal Family simply because it had never happened before. The Family have always shown the utmost courtesy to the Staff in the Household, please and thank you, showing appreciation etc., giving presents - and the current enquiry has been triggered because the allegations have only just been made. It will be an internal enquiry as to procedures and policy since H&M have now left.
SInce the presenters brought the subject up - as far as the allegations into the activities of the Prince Andrew, they are being investigated by the usual official authorities - not the Palace. It is not the place of the Palace to become involved in formal criminal investigation otherwise it would be seen as interferring.

There is a difference between choosing to do a interview and sharing what you want with the media/public versus having the media constlantly stalk and harass you 24 7 and publishing your private business for their own profit. There is nothing hypocritical in putting their foot down when it comes the press. Maybe princess Diana would be alive today if someone had put their foot down when it comes to the media.
They claim they want a private life, but 100% of their visibility and fame is due to their (former?) status as royals and the Sussex name. They also have a podcast, and are seeking other public ventures. Their charity is practically defunct. Meghan would be a very minor celebrity at best, without her royal marriage. So, they should move on; their complaints would be soon be forgottten if they weren't regularly airing their grievances. I appreciate that the British press can be pretty ruthless. They now live in a multimillionaires' enclave. They should enjoy their new lives and move on. I also think Harry will ultimately be sad at all that he's had to give up (his family, public works and charities, not the perks) one day when all the drama settles.
They are right to give an interview to let us , those of us who want to hear because since they walked away it been Megan this Megan that. If you are uncomfortable with them giving interviews muzzle british press not to write about them otherwise expect a reply which they are entitled to.
