It's just the locker-room culture is all out of control in AEW. The younger talent want to rebel and think they know better than the veterans and producers trying to help them. Cm Punk is a leader and doesn't take shit from anyone so when he came in to AEW he was going to ruffle a lot of feathers. I'm not saying Punk is blameless, but this is about the third time one of the younger guys has decided to needle him on TV and then is surprised when it doesn't end well. Somebody in charge needs to tell them ALL to knock it off.
There is a reason why in a court of law when you’re being tried for a crime a lawyer isn’t allowed to mention past crimes you may have committed or been convicted of, because it skews people’s perception to think that you must be guilty because you’ve had other incidents (which is what everyone is doing right now) when in fact ever situation stands on its own merits and in this case in the here and now Punk is in the right.
Tony Khan is 100% to blame. He doesnt have the backbone to be a boss like a vince mcmahon or eric bischoff back in the day. Paul Heyman had a set of balls too. Tony Khan is a fanboy who wants everyone to like him. That makes for a terrible wrestling promoter. Its just not going to work.

What the hell is brad talking about????? When he said cm punk started all the drama at the media scrum a year ago. The elite are the one's who started all the drama a year ago
I think we learned from WCW that a negligent shell of a management structure, where money completely replaces respect, it's never good for 1 wrestler to have a level of "power" heads above the rest, and especially unfettered power, even if it's just for 1 show a week. I don't dislike Punk, but if what they're saying is true, and that he has so much say so that he can dictate who comes in and who doesn't, it's ridiculous. I think if Punk wanted to do and be what he has reflected through his actions over the years, maybe he needs to do what Cody Rhodes did. Maybe Heyman would have been successful had he known Punk much earlier. But to walk into another person's company, where you've had little to no hands in building up, it doesn't then matter how much of a veteran you've become, you can't do the aforementioned and expect the locker room to either bow down in submissiveness or hold you in high esteem and respect.
If Tony is scared to take charge because he is intimidated by his roster, he should just hire Steve Blackman to stand behind him at all times. People would fall in line pretty quickly.
Best part of all this was that he was supposedly right there when it happened. Like physically standing there and got hit with a monitor they knocked over…the fuck is there to investigate if you were there??!?!
Something about Khabib and McGregor's success business wise was the story, the build up was real. UFC made a hell lot of money and was the most successful pay-per-view in the history of UFC. What wrestling fans seems to have forgotten is that the storyline is what makes a match a great match or just a match. CM Punk has a lot of great match set in AEW in the future. The Elite vs Punk is already the word in the wrestling world. Tony is waiting for the right time is what I feel.

So let me get this straight..... What a load of bullshit. CM Punk is the toxic one. Ever heard the saying that if you have a problem with almost everyone you meet then you're most likely the issue? That's CM Punk. He has issues with everyone.
Punk didn't give HHH that respect when he was in WWE, so who is Punk to demand it from the younger talent in AEW? Punk does a whole lot of demanding, and not nearly enough giving.
Book's opinion is always great in situations like this. I watched him for decades, he's always come across as a straight up man. I couldn't imagine these young dudes not listening to Booker or Stevie Ray back in 1993. Two professionals with all the respect from their peers
Now, we know that it was CM Punk who confronted Perry, they argued, and then Punk shoved Perry, Perry shoved Punk back, and then Punk put Perry in a chokehold of some sort.
