Apparently the fish are going to die because they need a special container or something. Maybe 4k disliked because they don't like fish death. That's my guess.

Also, at 10:54 you can see that the water doesn't go all the way down the hole, you can see it splashing up the side which suggests that the hole isnt actually that deep.

Strahan 34 The fish had plenty of oxygen, the water pouring in was breaking the surface up a decent amount, enough for them to breathe. The issue is that they don't have any rocks or plants in the water to hide behind. Pebbles or dirt at the bottom would also help keep them more healthy

I will give you that it might be best for the detail work and even some tight space work but the majority if that digging would be made 300 times easier and more time and energy efficient if he was using even a primitive shovel come on now just be realistic.
