We need to repent of the haughty way in which we sometimes stand in judgment upon Scripture and must learn to sit humbly under its judgment instead.
It is a great comfort to know that our judge will be none other than our savior.
Make and keep Jesus Christ your personal Lord and Savior.

I have appreciated a devotional given to us when my husband was dying of cancer. It is The Songs of Jesus by Timothy and Kathy Keller. I read it almost daily. The Psalms are a true help in my daily walk with Him. And I appreciate their commentary and prayer at the end of each Psalm.
I have been struggling in my life for 2years already. and it seems like it is not going to end as soon as I want. It's really hard to live a life. I didn't know there would be such a suffering when I became a Christian. I thought God would protect me. but as Peterson says, it may take years and decades actually encourages me. because it means I am still a Christian although I struggle for a long time. thank you
Hi. I struggle and go through horrible trials and i had no idea why and i was so angry and i plead with God to just give me an ansver. 11 months later just this week he lead me to one of tims sermons and there i got my ansver. So i wanted to share with you if you havent listened to it yet. ➡️questions of suffering and the one after:➡️my servant Job. Hope it blesses you as it did me. 💗💗💗
May you feel His presence in a very tangible way as you struggle with your faith and life in general. May Christ guard your heart against any doubt and draw you into a closer walk with Him. May He be your kinsman redeemer.
I am so happy to hear when struggling Christians continue walking with the Lord. I too am almost 70 and I look back at heartache after heartache, and can say, no one is more faithful, no one more truly caring, no one always there to hear all my sorrow and heart groaning but the Lord. And He will turn all your sorrow to joy, in His timing. "Where shall we go? You have the words of eternal life". Keep on keeping on, dear sister!
Jesus tells us in the Bible that in this life we will have trouble and suffering. He himself was the suffering Servant and went through much more pain than we ever could. But He also understands us far greater than we could ever know. He has empathy and compassion to us, and he remembers we are but dust and weak, the Bible says. God is with us in the storms, and the storms will end, but God does not promise an easy life. He gives himself to us in our heart, and we need to seek His heart and be with Him constantly to be strong. I know how you feel, when life never seems to let up. But even in the Psalms, 1/3 of them are lament and not praise. God wants us to be honest in how we feel , but we have to also live in repentance and not living in sin. He wants to hear how we're frustrated, just like you would tell a close friend. He will carry you, and you will get through this time. This life is but the title page. and we need to look to eternity and Christ for Hope. "to whom else will we turn Lord, you have the gift of eternal life". We cannot go back to the world, it has no hope, only death. Christ is the only answer for an aching heart
the seasons of peaks will come. there are peaks and valleys. Look outside yourself, and who you can help. When we focus on ourselves, that usually leads to feeling sorry for ourself or getting to lost in thoughts that aren't Life giving. Look to God, and see how you can love others.
Thank you dear friends. I really appreciated this devotional. I've just worked through the psalms and today I came to this Psalm, 150. I loved the quote and you both sharing your experience of prayer over the long term. It all ends in praise. That is true, for then we shall see Him as he truly is and we will be scrambling for the loud crashing cymbals!

Kathy's idea was a good one to make another column to check off the praise testimony. I really appreciate her insight.
True thinking takes place within a frame of continuous historical development in which progress in understanding is being made.
No constructive thinking that is worth while can be undertaken that sets at nought the intellectual labours of the centuries that are enshrined in tradition, or be undertaken on the arrogant assumption that everything must be thought through de novo as if nothing true had already been done or said.
He who undertakes that kind of work will inevitably be determined unconsciously by the assumptions of popular piety which have already been built into his mind. Jesus Christ is the key to success, putting all into His unique perspective.

The devil walks with God and our journey through the valley of death as a Christian there will always be the light. Just ourselves with the Holy Spirit within and the darkness. You see happiness is not joy and neither is success all that it seems to be. What matters is truth.

Cause ive seen on one of your interviews with JD Greear that it seems like you are saying it is not. The reason for my thumbs down is for the comment: "...I'd be married to two different men and neither one would be you!..." Wow! that was quite a shock to hear, to say the least. I understand the CONTEXT in which the comment was made, but let me tell you KK, as a man I can guarantee you that that would not have been much fun for any husband to hear, not at all, not even in jest! You need to somehow 'repair' that emotional-dart you shot at Tim, Kathy Keller. And if he says "No dear, don't worry about it...don't believe him, not even for a moment!" Even I was hurt for him just witnessing it. There are some things, true or not, that don't have to, or need to be said.
You got to be more tactful
I can almost bet they both know each others history and stories....they have been married for decades.... heck he probably knows both of the men....or even boys... She could have prayed to marry her grammar school sweetheart.... I am sure he was not surprised.... I thought it was cute.
