I drive mine in sand like this all the time with no issue. You need to let some of the air out of the tires. Go down to 18-20 PSI and you will have no problem.
When driver in the desert normally with an FJ. What do you turn on. A-trac? Diff-lock or both? A-Trac is like Crawl control without the autopilot, it is just for grip
I believe if it was Jeep Wrangler in that spot it would get easily free of that stuck, this is I can tell as I’m x owner of Jeep Wrangler. But I have to admit FJ is much practical and more reliable.

Love my 2010. First thing I put In BFG AT KO2. If you had those and aired down to 10 psi you would have difficult time getting stuck lol
