Okay, this was everything! I have been researching many reviews of Virgin to decide if I really want to go and this sold that all the way for me.....easily!
The most informative Virgin Voyages video out! Thank you! I booked my solo insider tonight for 2025! And was so nervous til I got all this information. ❤
Glad to see the review. While im going with a group im basically in a room by myself and dint want to pay a supplement for larger room so i think im going to be the solo insider. Thanks!
I personally love traveling solo! Groups are fun to but can quickly turn due to so many personalities and budgets. Come back and tell me how your experience goes. Hit me up on Instagram… @iAlvinRashad
Went three times...had a blast, no kids, very chill. The manor after Scarlett night is off the chain, and you might feel like a smaller ship is tiny compared to the huge carnival and royal Caribbean ships. I like it though.
Both places I didn’t get to visit. This may definitely be something on the agenda for December when I’m back on the Scarlet Lady for the 5 day Dominican Daze itinerary.
I didn’t notice it much. There were times that I did hear it but It wasn’t bad. I was usually in the Manor while it was the nightclub and by the time I made it back to my room it was closed. So no complaints here.
I absolutely agree with you, a 4 day sailing is super short. I did the Sunsets & Soirées and thought it was a little too short. The Dominican Daze itinerary was good, I really liked the itinerary that goes to Roatan. My next cruise is San Juan to Miami and I cannot wait, longer sailings are certainly better. The best is a longer sailing with a rockstar suite because you get Golden Champagne Hour every day at Richard’s rooftop plus they have two hot tubs and their own loungers. Great review.!
Aww Thanks! Yes I love longer sailings. When I get the money together to get a Rockstar Suite I’ll have to try it out. Right now a balcony is my life! 🤣😂🤣 Make sure you take many pics on your cruises! Nothing like going through the memories when you get back to regular life.
I suck at taking pictures! I’m usually more focused on crossing off things in my to do list aboard the ship because I feel like I never get to do all the things I want to. 😅
@@TRAVELINGABALD I do little scheduling of stuff outside of meals and shows😅. We did discover on the last cruise though that if you take the crew you should split a cabana at Bimini and do bottomless brunch that morning. So outside of the cabana, not much is planned.
I'm surprised about the small casino. I'm not much of a gambler, but I love the environment of being in an active casino, especially on a cruise. Gambling is a great excuse to chat up a random stranger.
I was worried it wasn’t meant for people of color. I am a hardcore carnival fan, but I am ready to sale without kids and without a lanyard. BUT!! Carnival does post the themed parties before you board.
@@TRAVELINGABALD my sister went down a google rabbit hole. She searched events on our sailing and it popped up. We’ll be on the Horizon 9-17 December. We have 2 more after that!!
@jeniseharris3405 If it was a blog or something like that then it may not be much credible. Most of the events on Carnival is dependent on the cruise director.
This did it for me, I am about to book my first solo cruise !!!
Yay! Consider using an agent, that way you can make sure you getting the best pricing possible. Link in the description for recommendations.

❤️❤️❤️ thank you boo!! We had a great time. It was so nice connecting with you.
Yes!!! It was definitely a great time. Things happen for a reason. A great start to a long friendship!

I was on this sailing!! I cruised solo and it was so relaxing ❤
Yes it was! I enjoyed every bit of it!
Me too! Hope you had a great time!
Wow, I will have to book a trip on this Scarlet Lady, you made it sound so exciting!
It was really fun that I had to book it again!
Great to meet you on the ship 🎉🎉
Same here! How did you like or dislike the Scarlet Lady?
@@TRAVELINGABALD loved it!
@FraserAtSea Awesome! Thanks for the support.
The wake and the Dock house was my favorite
Both places I didn’t get to visit. This may definitely be something on the agenda for December when I’m back on the Scarlet Lady for the 5 day Dominican Daze itinerary.
@@TRAVELINGABALD I went on that route and also had a wonderful time In puerto plata.
I heard it’s really nice!
R u going on the funky dineva cruise in april
I just booked for my first voyage for March and glad you said they are LGBTQ friendly. It’s my first solo cruise.
Funnily enough ended up with your exact cabin number!! Did you ever hear any noise from the manor at night? A little worried about noise!
Not that I remember. Honestly… Most of the time I was in the manor until it got close to shutting down. Soooo… I’m probably not the best source. 🤣😂🤣
How was the sound transfer from The Manor to your solo cabin ? You were right above. I'm just curious.
I didn’t notice it much. There were times that I did hear it but It wasn’t bad. I was usually in the Manor while it was the nightclub and by the time I made it back to my room it was closed. So no complaints here.
Same when I fly Virgin airlines never feel the take off.

Well living in the moment is never a bad idea either.

I anticipate going solo on Virgin...but I do not need to advertise that by going to the solo cruiser events...I do plan on eating solo
Yea definitely not many solo cruiser events. The ship is more catered to couples and groups as always. They definitely can do better in that area.
I want to try NCL as a solo cruiser. I’ve heard they make it a great experience with the daily events.
Why not do the Atlantic crossing?
Something to think about!
I'm surprised about the small casino. I'm not much of a gambler, but I love the environment of being in an active casino, especially on a cruise. Gambling is a great excuse to chat up a random stranger.
I totally agree! At times I’ll go in just to people watch and hang out for a min.
👍🏾🙃

Where have you seen the carnival events posted? But yes there was many of us melanated folks on board.

Lmfao! 🤓 My glasses love to roam my face. I’ve recently bought some nose pads and they really help. lol
