- Skegness locals fear the influx of young male migrants will affect the towns reputation and put tourists off visiting this iconic seaside town.
In Skegness five hotels have closed their doors to the public and accepted lucrative deals to house migrants. The influx of young migrant men along the Skegness seafront has alarmed many local residents who believe these ‘migrant hotels’ will damage the tourist industry and could put the safety of the towns inhabitants at risk. The UK government are struggling to find suitable accommodation for the record-breaking numbers of migrants crossing the English Channel. The use of hotels around the country is being used as a temporary solution to house the growing migrant population whilst their asylum applications are being processed.

Not if they're claiming asylum they're not. Unfortunately the government have put no way in place for people to claim asylum without actually being here in the UK first. The government rules state that these people must be on UK soil in order to claim asylum. Then once they're here the claims take months to process and they stop them working and generating money (or paying taxes) and give them £40 a week instead.

The difference being that your family were able to apply for visas but those options aren't available today, hence people travelling to claim asylum once they're here.

The crown plaza in Louth in Ireland is loaded with migrants 90 euros a day for a room and two meals yet Irish homeless have to go to a shelter if they are lucky enough to get a room mostly shared with god knows who.

It's okay demonising the hotels but they lost a fortune during covid and how many moaners were planning to go on a winter holiday to Skegness! It's a time of the year when they probably see very little occupancy or income.

The UK should have a New Law which States the UK will Only Recognize and Give Refugee Status to People from Neighboring Country's ( meaning People Born in neighboring Country's with similar Culture )......
The United Nations should make it Clear - Refugees will Only be Given Refugee Status in a Neighboring Country to where they are Fleeing From....
The Country taking in Refugees should be Paid Compensation to support the Refugees by the United Nations via the World Bank.... that way every Country pays towards supporting the Refugees..... But the United Nations is So Corrupt it would Never Do This...
Also the Government of the Country from where People are Fleeing should be Sanctioned and have a Business Boycott placed on them by Every Country, plus once the conflict or whatever made the people flee is over the Government of that Country should be made to pay a Fine to the United Nations or World Bank ....

Two hotels in the town I live in, crazy times. They get 3 meals a day, free heating and a living allowance. Yet, some of us, who work, can't put proper food on the table for our families and can't put the heating on.

An ex hotel i worked at (The Grosvenor Hotel in Stratford Upon Avon Warwickshire) did exactly this,new owners got rid of staff & didn't even let customers know so these people were turning up thinking they were staying in the hotel only to find note's taped on the door's no communication whatsoever plus they did the same at a hotel they ran in Crew,it was all money to them,glad i lefted back in January of this year the illegal immigrants arrived to Stratford 150 single men back in October,it's disgusting they should think of their own first,millions on our streets who don't get the help some even fought for this country,it disgusts me

Part of the deal is that the owners move out & the hotel is run by security company but they didn’t want to leave their home (hotel) for 24months so that’s why they turned the deal down

The UK is a shambles. Money is witlessly poured into the hands of soon to become troublemakers who have no history in this country. Whereas, the people of this country are happily left by the roadside and people who struggle with mental health, bad luck and long term poverty get squeezed out of the benefits system regularly.
HR departments, universities, advertising agencies push the message of victim culture, positive discrimination as being our goal and national pride and culture as being something to be ashamed of.
I’ve met families on the coast of spain who complained that they felt obliged to leave Britain as migrants and non-whites were given priority over their children.
I lived in the USA and in the Far East for half of my life. The East takes pride in its ethnicity, culture and nationhood. The West is ashamed of its whiteness, embraces quasi satanic film, TV and music, promotes foreigners above its own people and is hellbent on destroying the family unit, European and white American culture.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the Far East, I love my Black, Brown, Mixed heritage and Yellow brothers and sisters but I won’t tolerate the planned destruction of British culture and values any longer.
If it takes peaceful protest once a month I’ll set aside my time. There’s power in numbers and it’s time to make our voices heard. It’s time for the government to be switched out for people who represent the people and not a bunch of rich c**** who party in DAVOS.

I live not far from these hotels and there is one near me that I have to walk past with 4 children every morning to get to school, there is always a herd of them outside smoking and laughing and heckling every woman walking past. Noticed they all have new footwear and phones. When I walked passed one hotel they were having a massive frozen food delivery being delivered plus having renovations done with new windows etc. But yet low income families like myself have to be referred for a food parcel!!! This is absolutely ridiculous and it needs to stop. Walking round town like they own the place and then stating to some paper that they want us to show them respect , I will show no one respect if they aren't respecting the people of this town by shouting whatever on their own language down the street. Also having the foresight to see what damage it will do to the area, economy and last but not least local residents. I hope their business flourishes and is supported by its patrons, while those that would rather put profit before local interests fall by the way side. It is also a sad indictment of the local and regional councils that they have allowed this to happen instead of fighting to block it and doing what they should be doing i.e taking care of the indigenous population.
