When Mr. Iger was talking about the movie theater experience it got me really thinking. I think the problem is the home experience has evolved much faster than the theater experience. We can all re-create that experience at home now. For example back when Star Wars launched watching that on a giant screen compared to the little 19" tv you had at home was mind-blowing. But now it really isn't. I feel theaters need to evolve. For example utilizing projection technology to surround the audience in the scene. Like if you're in an opera house, that opera house is re-created and lighting tech like Disney uses in Resistance, etc. Making a film and projecting it on a screen just doesn't seem good enough anymore. Disney may be well positioned, they certainly have the talent and technology to make that shift.
i feel you are out of touch with everything in this world.... just sit the next couple plays out bud.... movie theaters are like one of the only businesses breaking profit records weekly.....
@@CuttillEric You're totally right I'm way out of touch. Theaters were only on a 17 year decline before they fell off a cliff. If what you're talking about is the 50% to 70% increases in revenue year over year, that's still like half pre-pandemic levels.
Interesting ideas. Even if it’s just color changing in your peripheral view, that’d help the theater to become more immersive.
Look into 4DX that’s all I watch movies at theaters in now. I have a movie room so if it’s on digital first I won’t go but I also pay monthly for unlimited movies and I only go for 4DX lol

I followed this man's career, having been in broadcasting myself, even going back to his days at ABC/Cap Cities. He is a man of integrity and had a great sense of where to take Disney and make it a leader in communications and entertainment.

Igor was the best CEO since Walt. He expanded IP enormously and transitioned into streaming. Disney couldn't create that value organically. Only way to grow was through acquisition. Now what? They bought everything already. Elon got Twitter, all other major social media companies, too expensive fro Disney. Can they grow? Disney needs to prove an IP / Media company can = 1 Trillion. They need to innovate organically to do that. Acquisition options run dry

He also did an interview on Jon Stewart's podcast, 'The Problem with Jon Stewart', however the topic of conversation there was, how to fix the news. Interesting conversation. Be careful pedestaling Iger that you don't place him on a pedestal so high, he 's out of sight. This is not a man to be trusted. I can't help wondering with everything that is going on, if he is planning on standing as the Republican's candidate for the 2024 Presidency Race. I would put money on him entering the race for the White House.

As a big Disney Fan I’d love to see Disney sell some of the assets such as Hulu, Fox IPs that do not fit the traditional Disney model and maybe ESPN. This would allow them to focus on current assets and use the money to invest more.
That’s a terrible business strategy because they’re not going to gain as many fans (customers) as they would if they further diversified. Anyways, they have the resources, both talent and money to do both.

He got it wrong this time. Completely backwards. Iger recently promoted his dislike for the FL law to protect parents' rights a matter of "right and wrong". But he and Disney have it completely backwards. It’s the abandoning of “right and wrong”. Instead its “wrong and right” in an effort to appease the minority at the expense of the majority. They know it is wrong on so many levels - especially the subsuming of parents rights to educate their children on these very personal issues with "the government's" own viewpoint. But they are determined to make wrong seem right. So again, they have reversed Iger's assertion of "right and wrong" in an effort to be "wrong and right".
Thanks for the continuous great yt videos. The fact is, NFTs, BTC is the future of crypto and the question most people ask themselves is - if this is right time to invest? So the truth is Robert Iger is a liar and conman - who purposefully purged the COO & president's position, and had picked unqualified Chapek to be CEO so that Iger can make Chapek the fall guy, and Iger can come back to save Disney. Iger will never leave Disney.

I am a bit of skeptic, but know a lot of aspects about BTC.
