Yay! not only free tickets, but a name check as well!! I feel very lucky. Lovely meeting you - it looks like you had a cracking time!! Great video too - keep em coming (you are doing Skeggy proud)
Loving your videos and watching your stories so thanks for taking the time. Noticed that if you like fry-ups, suggest you might get a splatter guard for the frying pan. Saves a lot of mess and cleaning up around the cooker. :-)
hi great video, I also have a california, I use a ridgemonkey frying pan as it will not make a mess when cooking meat. just a suggestion. all the best Daz
Ha ha! Can you imagine how brilliant I would be at that?!! I'm off to check out when that VW show is! I think I'll copy and paste the name of the castle rather than try and remember it!
Please may I ask, what is the width of your downstairs bed and have you ever slept downstairs with the top closed. I am wondering about condensation, is there any? Also when you sleep with the heater on where does that power come from is the the battery or the hook up from the camp site? I love your videos thank you so much for making them they are so informative.x
Very nice. Did you have to leave it there all weekend and did you have to sleep in it where it was or could you move it? We were wondering how it worked.
Ha ha, you stayed at alderstead I use to live there in my carthago a class for three years when I first full timed I use to love living there very convenient for ruining my business . Nice walls and like you say very peaceful considering where it is. The shower block did need up dating but the shower USE to have good water pressure BEFORE renovating , since then the water pressure is useless. Good times were had by all in the summers passed.
Hi there looked liked you had a great time !!! Couple questions Did u buy the camper new ? If so did you think of second hand. Also if doors are all closed is the van well ventilated when cooking or making tea ? Great video 👍🏻
Thanks Mark. We looked at loads of options varying from used to new, caravans to motorhomes and all in between. But in our experience we found that the California's retain their value so well, that it seemed to make sense to buy a new one. The new tax rules may make a used camper van more appealing though so check that out first. With regards to cooking we always open a window to release some of the smell and provide a bit more ventilation. We don't always bother when making a cup of tea (providing the roof is up), it also warms the van up nicely too. Thanks again for your support.
Hi I rented a T6 California for a two week holiday and loved it, was also dsg auto like yours, I couldn't find a fuel computer in the dash, but was getting something like 500 miles on a tanks of very mixed driving with about half a tank of water and quite a lot of activity kit on board, how do you find your mpg?
Hi, glad you enjoyed your time with the T6. We get about 36-38mpg day to day around town etc. On the motorway at motorway speeds it's more like 40-42mpg. I tried an eco run at 60mph on the motorway the other day and got 48mpg which is incredible for a vehicle of that size.
Hi there sorry couple more questions I've noticed some of the latest vw I've looked @ is the sink area is opposite yours Would you say yours works better? Also who & would you recommend were you bought yours ? Lastly congratulations you have just got married 👍🏻😊
No problem at all, ask as many questions as you like. The sink area being on the opposite side may be because the sliding door is on the opposite side. All VW Californias have the door on the "euro" side because they are made for a broader market. It doesn't bother us however some people don't like the idea of potentially opening the door into traffic. We have no problems with it though. We bought ours from VW Van Centre in Guildford, we got a good deal but I can't say the service was that great. If you can deal with people never returning calls then it's ok as we got a good deal but it is very frustrating! We get married in August but we will store your congratulations for then 😁
Ha ha yeah I grew up in Skegness but I now live near Southampton. I go back to Skeggy a lot though because my family still live there! Hope you have a great weekend in Wareham! I'm laid in the Cali now in the work car park having a 2 hour break on my night shift and then back to work for the rest of it! Even this feels like an adventure!
I don't know why it bothers me sooo much but I can't stand when guys buy the derelict vintage buses and they don't bother to clean them up and fix them back to its earlier glory with a personal touch. Instead they throw all their money on the air suspension and Porsche engines and the rest of vans looks like a gypsy garbage dump and they have the nerve to attempt a shag with girls in those gross vans. My youthful rebellious nature is dead and gone plus kombi derelict couture was never my taste.

YES... Bestfriend and buddy. Golden are so full of enjoyment. Sorry my bad English writing... I'm Norwegian.
Go to trip to Norway! Lovely in summer!
Don't worry your English is very good! Certainly far better than my Norwegian!! We definitely plan to visit Scandinavia. Maybe next year.

Are u really from skegg ness
Hello! You guys going to Bus Types?
Unfortunately not. Wish we were though
I probley stupid.. But what means SKEG?
Skeg is short for Skegness. The best seaside town in the UK! 😬
Coz that sounds along way from vw van centre Guildford 😂
Ha ha yeah I grew up in Skegness but I now live near Southampton. I go back to Skeggy a lot though because my family still live there! Hope you have a great weekend in Wareham! Yay good ole Skeggy.
Remember you can bring friends along by renting a small caravan and hitching it to your van if they dont want to sleep in the tent. Future reference.
Nice vid , one day at I'll take my kg down...
só VW's tops
Lots of rats at the show. If you ever go to Newquay you will see loads of them there with surfing gear on them.
