The Nokia 2660 flip is designed for ease of use and accessibility thanks to its large display and comfortable keypad. The 2660 is running on the Nokia S30+ operating system. The video talks about all the features of the Nokia 2660 flip, from hardware to software, and covers the quality of the keypad, software key features, and who this phone is designed for. This video also shows the unboxing experience of the 2660 flip, the sibling of the nokia 8210 and new nokia 5710 xpress audio.

I think nokia should start bringing back its qwerty phones. With KaiOS I think they'll pack lots of features in simple and small devices. Which is a nice selling point.

Man, if this had Spotify and Hotspot functionality I'd buy this without hesitation.

2720 flip did have hotspot functionality, although Spotify is still not available
All I need for surviving in this world is music and calling
Well, the idea of a minimalist phone is that you don't have features like spotify.
Does it not have any music apps ?
Nokia: Let's go back to what a handheld phone as a handheld phone and focus the user to the most important thing, basic communication.
this format is really nice and crisp.. and btw thanks for reviewing.. I've been asking for it for a long time
I think nokia brings back the old memories. With our late father/grand father. I miss my dad so much. 😭😭😭
Wow nokia is getting better in term of design lately. Hopefully they will bring back nokia lumia design to life.
Love this format! Fast moving - and answered all of the questions I had quickly and succinctly! Cheers from Australia!
My Nokia 2660 flip is coming.
I checked it out from an online store here in the Philippines. I'm so excited!
How's it now??
Enjoying the use or it's not so user-friendly??
HEY NOKIA! WE NEED SMARTPHONES WITHOUT ANDROID AND SOCIAL MEDIA !
I still hope that Nokia will monetize and develop its Symbian system and provide it with powerful and essential applications such as maps and instant messaging. I also still wish Nokia would improve the quality of its cameras. Nokia already has excellent cameras on its Android phones, but the competition in the Android market is fierce.. I think that Nokia has a great opportunity to create a new market for consumers who want to use “hybrid” phones, i.e. a mix between smartphones and traditional Symbian phones . I think there are many, including myself, who want to have powerful and smart phones but without the ability to install social media apps so that they can get away from these apps now and then without giving up other useful apps like maps and advanced camera.
I’ve owned this for over a month, and the only disappointing thing is the Bluetooth feature does not connect to any Bluetooth headphones, which seems ridiculous in this day and age. It could have done with a Wi-Fi antenna too to ensure that the operating system, which is much better than the previous one, has the ability to download updates and improve the overall reliability and operability of this handset. S30+ is exactly as the producer of this video say it is, quick and easier to text.
it can't connect to a bluetooth speaker for phone calls?
@@RYN988 I just tried to connect to a pair of AKG in ear buds and it would not activate the sound from this device. It does however show it as paired correctly. I think this is disappointing given other manufacturers like Apple and Android based devices do not have this problem.
I have Sony wireless speaker and Samsung Buds pro and they worked, but the connectivity is way too poor, like the Bluetooth gets disconnected even 3mtrs. away without any obstacles between the devices.
@@Eric76 thank you. I was planning on getting this phone and hooking it up to a bluetooth speaker for phone calls.
@@KMon1111IND does the bluetooth work with phone calls?
Great video, you touch on the important areas that others miss. I really wanted to know about the loudspeaker volume. Keep up the good work!
Damn that camera will be 90’s Aesthetic fever.
I like how even cheaper devices get extras like a earphones, while a much much MUCH more expensive phone like the XR20 doesnt even have a charging brick in the box
If you're a person who likes to go on trips disconnected from today's tech, then this is for you. Just carry a good mirrorless cam with you to capture the memories.
I like this new Q&A format. 👍🏻
Again, I love the new style: short and straight to the point

@@kateellareyesthat’s still a smartphone. I want a basic non smart flip phone that can have Spotify on it
It's been 2 days since I got mine. I can say that aesthetically it's so good though buttons are really big (it's really for seniors). I have some few comments on its softwares. Message folder don't have segregation on Inbox, Outbox and Draft. It has only "Conversation" mode. Time, which is one of the essential feature of a phone, are only found in Home, it is not shown in the upper corner of the screen. It's very inconvenient to go "Home" just to check the time (when Nokia can actually put mini digi time on the upper corner since it is very spacious). I thought i was really upgrading my basic phone (I was Samsung B350e user). They only upgrade they (Nokia) give is their 4G tech and wireless FM radio. I hope they update the software sooner or else I have to buy another one. i give them like 6/10.
4g is good but 1500mah prob wont do 3 day on it. Esp on an island country like mine.we dont get 2-3g anymore so 4g is muat but we used higher freq so it drains a lot on batt then on eu and us 4g freq
Hi...i just have a question for you and would be very thankful of you answered. Does your phone's top screen wobble a bit when the flap is closed. Is there a play to the flap sideways ? My phone's flip moves side ways just a little towards the bottom. Does your phone have the same issue. Please do reply. Thankyou
@@paragnikam6845 what do you mean by wobble? Like the screen (as in the other side) moves a lil bit when flipping? I don't have that kind of issue if that's what you mean.

@@paragnikam6845 You should return it if that's the case. It might get you in trouble in few months. Most of the flip phone's problem is their flex connector. I had one in my flip phone (Nokia's old 6101).

Thank you for categorizing the video based Q&A. Please add it to the video chapters.
Form factor looks nice because when it's close, it looks like a regular old smartphone. The large display also looks nice like a regular smartphone.
Recently got this phone for myself for just the battery backup and 4G VoLTE, although I'm not the tageted customer 😂. Anyway here's my take on this phone
Pros: 1. awesome battery backup
2. Big display
3. Big keypad
4. Good speaker quality (both loudspeaker and earpiece)
5. Excellent network reception
Cons. 1. Bad display quality like it's came from early 2000s
2. Should have given Wi-Fi
3. Dated S30+ UI (again straight from early 2000s)
4. Still MicroUSB.
5. Still 0.3MP camera HMD could have provided with 2MP atleast
5. The flash/torch is worthless.
6. The browser is from 2010 most websites won't work.
Can you install Java apps on it?

I didn't know your channel before this, that Q and A format is quick, direct and nice but it does make your video seem like its a quick version of a full video, or just giving a feeling of the device you review has a small market and isn't important and also less chance to knoe about you and your personality in a quick watch, but which has more pros and cons is up to your choice, good luck! :)

Had a Nokia flip for years - brilliant. Am not tech savvy but upgraded to the 2660 - haven’t used it - didn’t understand anything on this video -need to go step by step- now have no phone at all-very disappointing that Nokia can’t put out a more detailed and understandable video for the elderly. !!
Still micro?? La la I was hoping for type c
Back then, when the box mattered, and it had some content... Alongst with it's insides and being "Smart" was more than just a "word".
Some missing features compare to 210:
- Not able to see total contacts you have on sim/phone.
- Not able to turn off sim1/sim2
- No rington selection for each sim.
- Unable to block spam sms with no number

I really like this review, I think I’d like the phone too ❤
I was interested to use this as my replacement of my feature phone the 2013 nokia asha but damn why the specs is lower than my 2013 phone. But feature phones is definitely more long lasting than smartphones especially during natural disaster when there are times it took days to get electricity.
This kind of feature phone is perfect for my parents who believe technology advancements (internet) led to more people being scammed in today's world.
that camera took such a sexy photo, like something straight out of Stardew Valley
I like this format...👍
They do have and keep some kind of unique skills when it comes to a keypad phone.
Ingattaaaaah ❤❤❤❤❤
5:49 Honestly it's kind of wild that the feature phone market is growing. Back in 2013 it seemed like everyone were sure budget smartphones were eventually going to kill the segment. I wish Nokia mobile success as they are leading in this space unlike in the smartphone arena.
When I think of how badly some people are affected by smartphones (mental health, anxiety, fomo, etc) I can kind of make sense of why some people are going back to the basics. And I'm 100% sure someone using this would be far more socially engaged in their surroundings and enjoying the moment than most of us with our heads buried in our phones endlessly scrolling through social media..
@@AbdullaZaki You nailed it. This is partly why I bought a Nokia Lumia 1020 in 2022. It functions as my 'detox' phone lol
@@SirFaceFone very cool detox phone I must say haha
@@SirFaceFone well, it still has a huge market especially for boomer and early milenial generation who prefer feature phone than smartphone because its simplicity or for nostalgia.
@@cakapcakep241 That's true, although it seems to be gaining some traction across different generations as well. Will be interesting to see if the momentum keeps going in the next few years.
Love from
India brother.
Let me be really honest to those who find feature phones funny or lame. We get it that such feature phones doesn't suit many individuals like hardcore smartphone users because many are so used to smartphone but is it worth it spending alot of money for buying a new smartphone were it's performance gets affected due to so many apps and the battery for smart phones get eaten up due to smartphone OS, apps, 4g, phonecalls and web browsing on a smartphone. Nowadays I'm using my smartphone only for emails, maps if required and important contacts while the older feature phone I using it only phone calls and SMS. Therefore don't judge just by looking at a feature phone, a feature phones has lots of advantages.
These phones are aimed at the older market anyway. Not me, but people over 70 who haven't managed to get to grips with smartphones; or for those who don't want to (yes, there are lots of people from that generation who refuse to use a smartphone).
Phone manufacturers have realised this, and instead of pushing smartphones on them, have brought out 'retro' flip phones from the 00's back again to cater for them and their needs.
The Boomer generation for whom these retro flip phones are aimed at are a very stubborn generation! But smartphones frighten them, they find all the swiping and ability to quickly change screens confusing, and many don't trust them. This is also the generation that mainly avoid using online banking....as again, they don't trust it.
So for any twenty-something complaining that these phones are 'rubbish' or old school - they're not aimed at you, but those who are 70+.
@@robtyman4281 what I'm trying to tell is that there are others who just make unnecessary complain that feature phones sucks. I've used so many feature phones in 2000s and even now I'm using a feature phone for calls and SMS while smart phone only for emails, social media etc. What Nokia is doing now is a fantastic work by releasing these feature phones and hopefully the communicator will get a good remake.
Exactly! Having choice is great, and these do serve a purpose for some people
@@AbdullaZaki your absolutely right Abdulla. You feel Nokia will do a remake of the old communicator? What's your thoughts on that?
@@robtyman4281 I understand what you're getting at, but it's best not to generalize. I detect maybe just a bit of ageism in your comment. Both of my parents (age 83) have embraced smartphone usage. My mother is even comfortable using Zelle to reimburse my siblings and me for purchases we make for her as her mobility is now limited. There are many reasons why a person might prefer a feature phone, age is not the only one.
This phone was expected to be better or predecessor to Nokia 2720. But it is far behind. Few features like VoIP calling through WhatsApp, Wifi hotspot, GPS (maps), email sync is a must in even a feature phone. Being 4G means an OK enough browser would be available.
It isn't a successor to the 2720 in my opinion, just a different option. I don't want to see a successor to that phone but it seems like KaiOS is slowly dying, the latest version doesn't even have WhatsApp..
When all those were onboard on the late s40+ lol and we hang on to this sjeleton s30 os
So u guys sayin is im lucky to have my 2720 with emails and whatsapp calls on it 😳
2720 is not a good phone. My dad has it and it often freezes for no reason at all
people want this phone because it doesn't have all those distractions like a modern smartphone. if you want smartphone functionality, buy a smartphone...
The design looks really good and I wanted to buy it. I had a flip phone way back and I loved it. But , i was expecting this to be better. The cons are disappointing. And the price is too high for what it offers. Maybe I’ll wait till the price adjusts because right now it’s 2x the price of their other basic phones that perform similarly and it just doesn’t seem worth it.

Type-c is neither too much to ask for nor too expensive to offer and given how every company is claiming to be ‘environment-friendly’ I feel Nokia should have given type-c instead of micro usb
Very true
@Fifty Dinar do you have any source for this claim? I've had issues with Micro USB becoming unstable, but Type C has been rock solid for me. Also, as far as I know, the connectors for type C are rated for about double the insertions compared to Micro USB.
