0:27 Anyone can set the criminal law on motion. It is not absolute, there are exceptions.
Police Officer has got power to investigate into a crime - It is also not absolute - There are exceptional cases where police has no right to investigate
Police officer can detain the arrested person but the power in limited by Section 57 of Cr.Pc. The learned JM has got power to authorise the detention of accused - Remanding the accused to custody but his power to remand is unfettered.
JM/ Judge can take cognizance of offences this power of court is also limited- Court can award punishment -Sentence of Imprisonment - this power also restricted.
