Sir, how about the retiring room facilities in Nagercoil and Kanyakumari. Many years ago there was a board information about retiring rooms in first floor. When we approached we were told that they were only for running staff like drivers, guards and TTEs. What is today's 7.2.2024 position. Do they have retiring rooms for passengers?

I don't know why they construct more platforms in nagercovil....much better option is construct in kanyakumari minimum 10 platform & pitlines,garage lines, locomotive work station..
and make it into connect all over capital city with direct train( pune,Mumbai,surat,ahamadabad,jaipur,Delhi,chandigarh,jammu,simla,lakhnow, patna,howhathi,kolkata.....more)
So we can operate more direct train from kanyakumari and tourism will be increase....Will create more revenue in kumari city people..... also need ECR railway project upto kanyakumari...
@@mohammedmohideen-vz7jo platform is also needed know....to handle the business of platform and no trains need to wait at nagercoil outer to get clearance of platform is empty for the next train to come....nagercoil is also a major junction know....but your idea also is good because pitline is also needed to introduce new train from kanyakumari or nagercoil

Now a days most of trains are running nellai to trivandram via KAVALKINARU-nagerkovil-thiruvananthapuram....but 1 are 2 trains only connect to kanyakumari
my plan to create a new line from kanyakumari-vottaikottai-anjugramam-karungulam-aavaraikulam-KAVALKINARU..... if we construct this new line, all the trains coming from nellai to trivandram /trivandram to nellai must get stoppage in nagercovil & kanyakumari...kanyakumari might be terminal....
at the same time East Cost Railway ECR project will connect to kanyakumari via anjukiramam .....
if its happen, kanyakumari will be one of biggest terminal in feature.....
that's why I said to construct more platforms in kanyakumarui instead of nagercovil.....
arailvaimozhi to nagercovil line will be used by goods trains only.....

That's been proposed by SR in the recent IRTTC. Heard IR nodded yes & they're awaiting for a rake to make it operational :)

@@MKYATHRI Sorry to say as per the records Charminar extension was earmarked upto CAPE(could be the reason NCJ-CAPE doubling getting completed in next month end) and VMM-PRR Bi weekly upto TEN
Rails are not yet placed fully from Cape to Nagercoil.
When will the doubling will be completed.
Expected in 3 r 4 months.

@@Mohammed27283 Hey bud FYKI the rake belongs to SCR and they came up with the extension idea, SR initially refused this and eventually they inturn proposed this extension to IR. Most likely it will be extended up to CAPE via chord line
