Man I overlook defense so much because I am focused on goal scoring and the big stars but holy cow, looking at the stats, McAvoy is a hell of a player.
Would love to hear your thoughts on brazzeau potentially cracking the top 6. Feel like he really embodies the style they're seemingly implementing this upcoming season.
I like this idea! I think he has some refinement work to do on hsi skill set before he even thinks of breaking into a top 6 spot (aka size isnt all that makes a big man tough) but if he does that, he has the possibility to become an absolute menacing unit.

I also felt he was one of the few guys (lauko, debrusk, heinen) that really set the tone with their willingness to fly to pucks and create chances with controlled chaos. Now that there's an absence in that department, I think his impact will be a lot more prominent in that area of play, allowing his game to stick out more. I think he will suprise a lot of people this year as he did last year.
How much chances do we need to give McAvoy? He's garbage. He's been atrocious the past two playoffs giving away the puck constantly. He is the highest paid bruins player too. Trade him.
I am on the fence. Like you said his number have been atrocious for what we pay. But much like Elias Lindholm, if you don’t surround talent you’ll see the singular talent on each line struggle, (Pasta was absolutely shut down as a result of this exact issue). But insert another potential threat and you start making opportunity for your McCavoy’s/Hampus Lindholms (I hate that I cant just say Lindholm anymore)

Let's see what happens I am not convinced yet we can make deep playoff run because we lost ullmark, an expect with swayman getting paid he flops an has down year. All players play good on contract year. What happens now if swayman bounces Sweeny should be fired on spot. ! I like Lindholm an z signing but they locked them into to many years for big money. I hope I'm wrong but we need more 2nd ,3rd,an 4th internal scoring
