Tua Tagovailoa shares highs and lows from his tumultuous third NFL season | FNIA | NFL on NBC
/ nflonnbc
This guy is the perfect example of a role model franchise QB. What a genuine fantastic human being always giving credit to others and being grateful for the people around him. Tua the Samoan sniper we love you!
Yes we do!
He’s about to go off today
Facts
I think you're right. We, as fans, are blessed to have some grounded, hard-working quarterbacks in the league these days. I truly hope his coaches recognize what they have and protect him.
I know Tua can play, he just has to stay healthy. 5-0 this yr in 22 when he starts and finishes a game. Tua the man. Silence the critics, I love it. Go Tua and Hawaii and Go Dolphins.
Tua the only NFL player I can remember praying for. All love
Tuanigamanuolepola, is “tu,” which means “stand.” The second part, “Aniga,” means “to be echoed.”
“Manu ole pola” refers to an island bird that sings and awakens people for prayer.
Pray to who?
Never seen Tua open up this much, glad she was able to make him feel comfortable enough to be himself. You can tell he’s a genuine dude, that’s my QB! 🙏🏽 #finsup 🐬
Future MVP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
check out tyreek’s podcast with tua because they talk a lot about tua on it
Indeed 💯 We believe in Tua no matter what 🐬
#finsup #believe
I DON'T THINK THE INTERVIEWER REALLY A SHE I THINK THIS IS A HE A LEAST I'M WRONG AND YOU ARE RIGHT.
Credit to Tuas mom and dad. What a great man they've raised!
Raised a great person
They gave him a future, which a lot of parents nowadays just don't do and leave their kids to decide their future for themselves. That can be a bad thing because some of these kids will grow up and they don't know what they want to do in life. Especially coming out of high school life. I feel like some parents should give their kids an alternative route or course of life for the benefits of their kids if they do not know what they want do in life. At least they have develop a skill that they can fall back on.
It’s so weird this is the guy the media chooses to bash and call terrible when he’s been nothing but a winning QB. Look at how wholesome this man is.
Agreed. I'm a Bills fan and if Allen doesn't win it all, I am 100% behind this man, even if he plays for a team with a fish as their mascot.
@@toasternfriends3329 dolphins are porpoises! Not fish! >:(
@@OperationPitbull Haha, and mammals, too. Love dolphins but I gotta throw shade when I can. =P
@@toasternfriends3329 respect.
There's a conspiracy to suppress tua for his religious beliefs.
Ravens fan here but i love watching and supporting my tokouso , tua is an example of an young man raised by a great poly parent
She did a fantastic job with this! like wow was that incredible... for those that dont know, tua is not usually very open with interviews. he typically gives very standard, cliche answers. doesnt try to rock the boat at all. just very down the middle, basic. but this woman did such a great job at getting him to open up. he said a lot of stuff he woulda never said before... great great work
They have history together. If you look back Maria Taylor was the one who interviewed Tua after Bama won the Championship his freshman year.
Maria taylor is a woke racist. Only got the job because she a black woman
yea the only professional journalist i’ve seen in in a long time. Massive respect 👏🏼
She did a great job. This is the most open I’ve seen tua in an interview. Great interviewer
great job????!!! The guy wanted to end it 15 minute's into it the interview.. look at his body language when she busts out the card board cut outs. VERY WEIRD & ACKWARD is more like it🤙🏼❤️🐬
María is beautiful and smart. Tua is so humble! The chemistry between both is amazing. Seems like Maria is flirting with Tua. Very enjoyable interview
In Tua we trust !
Literally the number one player in the NFL I want to meet! God bless you!!
Same 🐬
I had a very similar pelvis hip injury that Tua did. I did not have the dislocation just the fracture of the acetabulum. I spent an entire year in a wheelchair and had to learn how to walk again. I was never able to play golf again the way I used to because I was unable to transfer the momentum through my hips. Quite frankly I am amazed that Tua is even on a professional field. I did not have the University of Alabama behind me or the surgeons he did, but for him to be able to overcome the mental aspect of it is exceptional. I was about the same age as he was at the time. Now at 57 I have a lot of trouble with joint pain and walking is not easy. I think this kid should be put on a pedestal for what he has gone through on a personal level. You keep going Tua, you make me proud!
Just wanna say I appreciate your comment and I'm sorry that your hip still gives you so much trouble. I also golf and can imagine the frustration of having to completely change your swing approach. Best of luck to you and thanks for adding some perspective to the Convo
I hope you get better and are able to do things you used to again.
Stay positive.
Proud to wear his jersey every week...
It’s hard not to root for this kid to find success. And everytime you think he’s about to get there, the injury bug bites. I really hope he can stay healthy and just coast man.
After watching this interview it’s hard for me to understand how people can hate on this man. Outside of football rivalries, of course.
Just an all around solid dude.
I don’t think anyone actually knows him enough to hate him. I just don’t like left arm throwers 😂 but besides that I watch this man since high school
@@VNTYT 100%
Simple, because the fake media wants you to. He's the Samoan Sniper and a Christian that always put God first, family and then the rest.
@@VNTYT tua was probably the most bullied and criticized player before this season
@@dukebangbang20 maybe more deshaun for what he did off the field, but that’s what happens when you play football
This guy is a special human being. Tua brings happiness and joy to everyone he encounters.
That's cute but im sure the dolphins are trying to win games
@@slimhardaway8 that's cute but the Dolphins are 3-0 with Tua 0-3 without
@@stickybunnn - that’s cute but Tua is injury prone so get used to playing without him.
@@Chiefqueef- that's cute but next time bring up some real facts instead of embarrassing yourself
@@stickybunnn - that’s cute….real facts? Well they have this cool new thing called “game logs” that shows the games he’s missed in college/Pros if your struggling to see how injury prone he is..
Maria is a Champ fantabulous interview with Tua.
What an interview by Maria wow! Tua is such a great human being and player. Fins up baby!
Never been much of a Miami fan but i'm definitely a Tua fan!
Unfortunately we in the Dolphin's community literally have "fans" who spew vitriolic hate towards this this man/quarterback/player, who some of those haters say their problems with him is because he isn't the "prototypical" quarterback (size, arm, among other things🤔). Tua's play on the field along with his personality off would make any true fan of the team he is on proud and hopeful for the future success of the team. I can't wait to see him back on the field leading this team.
HANDS DOWN the BEST Tua interview yet. I'm from Alabama and I've watched him grow so much. You can tell that the media isn't his favorite thing but he is opening up. Interview was awesome and I love the guy even more now. PHINS UP!!!!
Glad to have the opportunity to see this young man progress as not just a player but a teammate and now leader; do what you do Tua, the rest will fall into place💯
I’m a diehard 49er fan but I also follow Tua because I love watching him play. Take care and God Bless 🙏🙏❤️
As a Vikings fan it's difficult to watch almost every other team find or have had their franchise QB.
Tua is great. He's smart. High IQ. Tough. Loyal. A leader. I hope he has a long healthy, successful career. 🤞📈🐐
Umm hello? How about my cousin Kirk?!
@@pky6869 he isn't a leader. Has a low IQ. Isn't tough and isn't loyal. Only things he does better than Tua is throw a little farther and have a better agent.
@@MrCook-dz6gj it’s ok. Vikes are gonna win the Super Bowl this year & Cousins will be the SB MVP!
@@pky6869 it would be a dream if they won but I highly doubt cousins would be MVP.
@@pky6869 😂😂😂cousins will never win a fuckin super bowl because he gives games away and it’s not like all these games they won have been mad close and not dominant wins and mind you they even struggle with weak teams so good luck on winning a Super Bowl or facing Miami with a Tua or facing the chiefs or bills which the Vikings will see later
This kid is so genuine in in wanting to bring success to Miami Dolphins 🐬…
She did a great interview!
Bills fan, I love Tua, hope he has a long career and brings back THE best AFCE rivalry.
Edit: Just finished the interview, only love this guy more. Go get it, Tua, you have support from the BillsMafia (except when you play us, of course)!
Look at Tua man so inspirational 🥹
That hug in the end was ❤
Fn love this guy man!! BALL OUT BRUH!!!!
Maria Taylor you are a gem🙏🏾💯💯💯Miami loves you for this interview
Tua is a class 1 guy. Somehow not even checking her out, just looked her in the eye & answered honestly. Love this guy!
Tua the mannnn!!!!!!
Welcome back Tua, good luck on Sunday night
This man is someone special
The Dolphins are struggling without Tua. I love watching him play. Hope you recover well and are fully healthy before getting back on the field.
Tua is rad man. One sign to tell if a QB is good or not is if the team tanks after they’re out of the lineup… It still surprises me that people question if he’s actually a franchise QB. He’s not a perfect QB, but you can see this is the type of young man you want as your franchise QB and this type of attitude gives you a shot to win a Super Bowl at some point.
Picture of Marino with Waddle/Tyreek and Tua with Clayton/Duper is just incredible 🐬🆙 Tua Time LFG !
Love this guy.
Tua is special...as a football player but, more importantly, as a person!! Rooting for him to succeed in the NFL, especially as a Dolphin fan!!
Really fun to see this side of Tua, great job Maria!
Omg one of the best Tua Interviews ever! Welcome back Uno, we love you and can’t wait for you to start carving up them Defenses!
How can you not like this guy. Let’s go Tua 🐬
In the world of big money professional sports it is so refreshing to see a guy like this down to earth and totally honest I think he truly is a good guy
Great interview from Maria Taylor Tua seems so humble and genuine
Makes me happy just seeing the support he is getting now. Love this kid
Tua will lead his team to victory tonight
I really enjoyed watching that interview. They were very relaxed and he was very open with his answers. Good luck tomorrow Tua.
Excellent interview. She asked great questions.
QB1 No doubt about it. Excellent interview by Maria. I've never seen Tua be this open.
Much love Tua!! 🧡🙏🏽🐬🆙
What a dude! Glad he's Miami qb
The hug at the end❤
I love Tua. He is so humble. I pray and wish him alot of success ahead🙏🏾🙌

When she said Chris Simms, Tua shouldve said 'who'. That wouldve been classic.
Lol. Could you even imagine?! Lol. 😂
Tua good to be true!!!!
I just don't understand how some people don't like this man.
He’s a great person. No one is denying that. However, he hasn’t proven he’s a great QB. Hopefully this season he can silence all the doubters. Phins up!!

Thought I was the only one that caught that shade lol
Like tua said he's keeping tabs
This QB is special it’s Miami organization that’s failing Tua not protecting him with a better offensive line
Phenomenal interview
Tua's fingers bend far back so that's why his concussion hit looked so horrific Imo.
If there really is a Good, please watch over Tua. He's gone through enough with injuries and criticism. He's a great kid.
Gosh I love this guy. I really hope he can overcome his limitations and become a true franchise QB.
What’s his limitations?
@@mikeg7389 his arm strength (not getting the ball down the field but how fast it gets there and how high it has to travel) isn’t good. It’s a little below average. He’s not great at extending plays (he does it sometimes but usually he gets sacked) but those things won’t matter if he can be the best passer in the game. Don’t ask me just watch Ryan Fitzpatrick (his mentor) explain it. He has really good insight.
Really enjoyed this interview!
I promise this man will win a Superbowl
Facts, this is our year. Phins up 🐬
Great interview You get to see the real TUA in a interview like that when they are not trying to play GOTCHA. GOD Bless TUA
Now let’s make the playoffs ‼️🐬
Miami deserves Tua ☀️🐬 he’s an excellent quarterback for them
I love Maria Taylor, but love Tua more! Great interview Maria.
