She and Artoria are both the reason why I got into Fate too. One day, while strolling through a book store (I think it was a geek store, it was full of otaku stuff), I caught glimpse of a Fate/Stay Night manga in one of the stands. And the cover of that volume showed both Artoria and Medusa, it INSTANTLY caught my attention! From there, I read a bit of the manga, I started doing searches online, watched the animes available, a whole lot of surfing and now... *here we are.* By the way, Bond 10 on FGO and aiming for that Bond 11, Medusa absolutely deserves it! 😁👍

i can't mention how much this song fits with medusa sooo well. fabulous amv one of my favs. when I first started fate I didn't like rider but as I progressed she became one of my most loved characters. my only regret is that they don't show her being a rider until the end of heavens feel. when she summons Pegasus.
My theory on why Gorgon doesn't try and rip Ritsuka's throat out the second she gets summoned is that Chaldea's Gorgon is actually Ana, having earned a spot in in the throne with her last act of self-sacrifice at the end of Babylonia. She might not remember all of her previous experiences as Medusa Lily, but she doesn't have the Gorgon from that timeline's seething hatred.
In the past, Medusa was a tragic demigoddess of the sea (the only one of the gorgon sisters who was attractive by human standards) who was violated by Poseiden, cursed by Athenia, and then decapitated by Perseus. In combat, Medusa is fast, brutally efficient, intimidating, and fiercely loyal. In peace, she's one of the sweetest, chillest, and most elegant ladies in all of Fate. The original FSN gets better when you realize the most badass Servants are the ones with the lowest ratings. Medusa, Cu and Medea are 3*. Kojirou and Cursed Arm are 2*.
Basically, after she and her sisters were banished to the shapeless isle, the gods kept sending heroes after them. Medusa killed them to protect her sisters, but she eventually went insane from the amount she killed. Her sisters fed themselves to her in her berserk state to save her.
