I've had this camera for a while now, 3+ yrs, and still use it alongside my Sony FDR-X3000 (4k) action camera. People complain about the lack of an external microphone input socket, but it has never bothered me. The 2 BIG pro's, image stabilization (the competition still cannot match 2018) alongside zoom. Never used the supplied software, file manager works for me. Best Value and Best Camcorder I've owned to date.
I went looking for a used CX405 6 months ago because it was recommended by MarkusPix channel. Have to say I am super happy with what it does for the money, even in 2022 its a great little camera.
Novice birder and photographer working with limited experience and equipment a Nikon d 3000 digital stills camera this sony cx405 camcorder would be the perfect compliment for being able to get enough vocal length range at close range thank you for your review instruction
This was a very informative and helpful video., one of the best I've seen so far. How long can this record on a 64GB disk and what is the largest size disk you can use?
I have the same camera the only thing I do not like about it is the joystick to hard for this 70+ year old man to handle it took me 20 + minutes just to set the clock, touch screens are so much easier. You should set your frame rate to 60p so when you record animals or people running the video will not be burly.
have you been able to verify in your editing software that this will do 60fps? I couldn't find any specs in the manual about this and I only want one that does 60fps. thanks for the video!
Guy Homes out of the ones I've used I would say the Sony does a better job of filtering out the environmental noise than the Canon hrf800. One issue I have with the Sony is that you will hear zooming noises from time to time that are captured in your footage. Both are pretty good, I lean towards the Sony though. I've used it for all my videos for months now.
was that the noise made by the zoom switch that got recorded while you was zooming forward and backward? Is t going to be on all my videos? cleek clack cleeck!
www.bestbuy.com/site/canon-powershot-elph-180-20-0-megapixel-digital-camera-silver/4866804.p?skuId=4866804 this one is decent cuz, I was using it before I purchased the Sony.
How is your lighting? I have had grainy footage as well when I was filming in medium to low light, but other than that my footage has been pretty clear.
That grainy qaulity is actually noise white noise and it that comes to play when lighting isn't that good if your trying to get best video qaulity might wanna have a studio light or a regular kitchen light on

Hi! Does it have a date and time stamp?
Hi Tech Moe, which budget camcorder "out of all that you have used " has the best overall sound quality with the built-in microphones ?

Can someone help me? I have this kind of camera and cut my videos in streams. I do not know how to stop it. Did anyone have similar problem?

Yes, mine does make the noise you heard while I am zooming in and out.
Does the zoom button slide back and forth or press/click?
@@damionpostell3353 slides left and right - it is variable speed. push a little, it zooms slow, push harder, it goes faster
