Word is Saint and Osiris have adopted Crow. I even saw an artwork of it with Osiris as a Phoenix, Saint as a Pigeon, and Crow... as a crow with their favorite pieces of clothing. It was adorable.
Hawkmoon doesnt have any bearing on the plot. If he were given Ace, his story would of gone full circle. That and in Caydes will Ace is bestowed to the person (or creator) that kills him.
The small kindness lorebook made me incredibly sad. Crow craves companionship but knows he will always be treated as a monster for something done by his past self, which from a non space magic perspective is like a child being punished for having an evil parent. I really hope that Crow finds not only comrades in arms but real friends moving forward.
To tell the truth... Uldrin/Crow's story hits me hard on a personal level. For years I have hated myself and carried the weight of my mistakes (real and perceived). Everything I do, I believed it was doomed to fail because I am that horrible, nothing ever worked in my favor. Friendships to streaming to whatever. In the last couple months, I have been looking at myself honestly and forcing myself to be better. Better than I was and better than I thought I was. It may be time for this Hunter to take up a new cloak as well.
I've used the 'memory of cayde' cloak since forsaken, I just thought it was a cool thing to do and seen other hunters do the same, I had no idea it had genuine meaning and lore behind it.
Bottom path Voidwalkered. If you're not aware, the whole devour thing is quite literally siphoning your enemies soul and consuming it to power your own abilities. Same as the force barrier for defender Titan.
It took me awhile to turn around on Uldren. Bungie handled the writing well. As a Titan main, he saved my Vanguard leader. Compared to what he did to the Hunter Vanguard 😂
@@lolman2118 ummm Crow literally is Uldren lol. Just because he doesn't have his memories. He Still lived that life. The same body. He even admits as much lol
@@AVillainChillin just because they had inhabited the same body does not mean they are the same person. It’s a body that had two souls or whatever inhabit it in its lifetime. The reason he talks about his “past life” is only due to what Uldren did with the body he is currently in. If you wake up in a body that had done horrible things in the past, but you yourself are a completely different person, people should not talk about what you body did in the past, and should only talk about what you personality has done after that.

can't wait to see what crow is gonna bring to the Dresstiny scene. Love this wholesome character arc, really hope he can be accepted by the whole city.
I love the conversation between eva and osiris takes place in an apartment. Like imagine walking home and your neighbor is out front with a celebrity. It feels like eva is pretty humble since she does work directly with zavala, cayde, ikora, and the guardian, yet she just lives like a normal person
It is great seeing how Bungie creates Crow's story. They are doing such a great job with it and I am always excited to learn any new lore surrounding him. Also, please make a video with Uldren/Crow's complete story!
Full video on Crow would definitely be cool to see! Well done on this vid as well! That lore tab from the sparrow was amazing; it was really touching to hear more of Eva's reaction to Cayde's death, and how her last cloak had been for him
There's something so impactful about uldren's story since he was brought back by glint. This honestly feels like a story that could lead us into a great branch of destiny lore, I truly feel as if he's going somewhere great. He made mistakes in his past lives, as many guardians have. But that doesn't define who he has become now, and who he will grow into as time goes on. Crow will always have a special place in my heart.
If Crow didn't share the face of Cayde's killer then I'd have no problem accepting him. The writing of his arc is amazing. But every time I see him. I see the death of a loved one.
For me it's actually the other way around. I can't really hate uldren because he looks exactly like crow. Plus, uldren had been showing signs of insanity since his excursion to the black garden and he was being manipulated by savathun and riven, so it really wasn't completely his fault in the first place.
Full Crow story please. His is one of the best ongoing stories in destiny right now I'd love to hear it recounted with the love and respect you always give to our lore!

But after listening to the beginning of this video, my thoughts on cloaks and Hunters changed. I need to do more research on Hunter lore to fully understand Hunters. Thanks My name is Byf, I'm proud of being a Hunter thanks to this video. I also wish they would bring back those 3 cloaks to Destiny 2, even if they would be ornaments.
I only ever wore the legend of six coyotes or dead zone revolution in d1. In d2 I always wear Cayde's or the Neoteric Kiyot cloak one. The latter of which I've just headcannoned that the damage is from the years its served me.
I've used the Tangled Web Cloak since Forsaken since it was the first ever cloak I liked and it was the first ever item I tried to grind for. My old friend Stealthy helped me get my first one and he wore it as well so even though him and I aren't friends anymore I still wear it as a way to remember the friendship that was.
Just want to point out we're already familiar with another character who's lived three lives. Auresh; Oryx, the Taken King; and Oryx, the *taken* King. Oryx carried a similar journey as Crow. Starting as someone without powers, a victim/passenger to a universe of unfathomable power. But they were reborn when they collided with that unfathomable power. Then, when that power was not enough to achieve their dreams, they made a decision that would kill them in order to be reborn one final time. One used that chance to become a new person, while the other was simply interested in the new power that another rebirth offered.
No it's the same ghost, as for the name change, Crow apparently didn't like it and gave his ghost the name Glint instead and Glint don't mind it. After all guardians being the ones to name there ghost is a long running tradition and pulled pork was to all intent and purpose, a placeholder nickname given to the ghost by others.
Yeah not to be a spoil sport but that ain't gonna happen, the whole point of our guardian is to be an avatar of us the player and starting to define the player character would undermine that idea. One only have to look at the backlash Fallout 4 got when it became clear Bethesda decided to more clear cut define the background of the player character compared to previous Fallout games.
@@Awoken_Remmuz While I understand that point, I disagree with it. After all this time fighting hive Gods and fallen houses, time traveling death bots and space rhino's, It really aggravates me to hear the other characters refer to me casually as *"That guardian".* I mean seriously, the vanguard could at least give us a name (Let the community decide even). Word is Saint and Osiris have adopted Crow. I even saw an artwork of it with Osiris as a Phoenix, Saint as a Pigeon, and Crow... as a crow with their favorite pieces of clothing.
It was adorable.
Damn now I want a Quest that lets us design our very own cloak that we can use as an ornament.

@@mitchellsnaw7263 hell nah
I can already hear the collective sigh from the pvp community if Crow was permanently gifted Ace of Spades from our vaults.
Nah it's prolly gonna be Hawkmoon.
Whys that? I want to keep my Ace as a keepsake of Cayde even if I don't use it in pvp
its most likely he will have a hawkmoon
I need that to be the next Exotic, Crows Foes "I was attacked by murder itself. Foes on both sides."
I like the idea of Crow getting his own themed cloak. I would love hearing Crow’s story. From start to finish of his three lives
The full story of crow would be really fun to binge, keep up the good work byf :3
I've used the 'memory of cayde' cloak since forsaken, I just thought it was a cool thing to do and seen other hunters do the same, I had no idea it had genuine meaning and lore behind it.
Anyone who tries to hurt Crow is getting drop kicked...

As a Hunter, yeah, cloaks a big deal, I’ve worn my solstice one since it came out, and don’t plan on every getting rid of it
I’ve been wearing the 2020 solstice cloak and helmet ever since I got them, I absolutely love them and I’m glad transmog is gonna let me keep them

It took me awhile to turn around on Uldren. Bungie handled the writing well. As a Titan main, he saved my Vanguard leader. Compared to what he did to the Hunter Vanguard 😂
I mean he didn’t really do anything to cayde thou. Acting like crow IS uldren is doing the character a disservice
@@lolman2118 agree to disagree
I love the hunter lore. It shows what hunters are for they aren’t puny little guardians; they are the offense on the other side of the wall.
In D2 there's "A Cloak Called Home" and you can already tell what it means.
The cloak... Is called home?
@@Flamme-Sanabi well yes
@@Flamme-Sanabi okay, that and that the Hunter who had it was constantly reminded of home
Yes I want the whole video on crow, I have so many lore questions. I jumped in as a new light player and I have so many questions.

Lady Dimitrescu is an awoken warlock confirmed?
Man, Eva reminiscing about Cayde almost made me cry. Good writing there.
I'm absolutely loving how Bungie is telling stories around Crow. He very quickly rose the ranks of my fav'd guardians and these stories make him climb further. I hope he'll get some glorious sunshine soon.
can't wait to see what crow is gonna bring to the Dresstiny scene.
I would love a whole crow video, I’ll go buy some popcorn while we wait
It is great seeing how Bungie creates Crow's story. They are doing such a great job with it and I am always excited to learn any new lore surrounding him. Also, please make a video with Uldren/Crow's complete story!
It was almost painful taking off my memory of Cayde cloak for the guardian games
Cloaks mean a lot to us hunters
Let that be motivation, win the games fellow Hunter, for Cayde
well if you really want to commemorate cayde, spend some silver and buy his cloak ornament.

Full video on Crow would definitely be cool to see! Well done on this vid as well! That lore tab from the sparrow was amazing; it was really touching to hear more of Eva's reaction to Cayde's death, and how her last cloak had been for him
I love how he switches getups when you go to the Shore tho
I would love to see The Complete Story of Anduin, Uldren, and Crow, that would be my favorite video of yours!
"the drunken noodle"
This is why I love this game
There's something so impactful about uldren's story since he was brought back by glint. This honestly feels like a story that could lead us into a great branch of destiny lore, I truly feel as if he's going somewhere great. He made mistakes in his past lives, as many guardians have. But that doesn't define who he has become now, and who he will grow into as time goes on. Crow will always have a special place in my heart.
If Crow didn't share the face of Cayde's killer then I'd have no problem accepting him.
The writing of his arc is amazing.
But every time I see him. I see the death of a loved one.
Same, I know I should like him but I just can’t forgive him and I can’t get past it
For me it's actually the other way around. I can't really hate uldren because he looks exactly like crow. Plus, uldren had been showing signs of insanity since his excursion to the black garden and he was being manipulated by savathun and riven, so it really wasn't completely his fault in the first place.
@@MrGazzaish they are literally different people how hard is it to understand
you can't "forgive" crow for something that someone else did
Full Crow story please. His is one of the best ongoing stories in destiny right now I'd love to hear it recounted with the love and respect you always give to our lore!
going from morbid experiments to a makeover like parkour!
I love that you explained cloaks and what they are for hunters. I vibe so hard with my cloak collection. And I always make sure I get every single Cloak to be released.
Savathûn is best dad.
It was my understandijg that that lore tab takes place before the season and the cloak they're making together is the one he wears currently in the helm.
His current cloak isn't black as the one in the lore tab is described.
@@S3Cs4uN8 can you even see? The cape is black. "the black fabric soaks in the meager light and highlights the white silk" so the cloak is white and black. not to mention that very same lore tab says "eva levante recalled an event that happened months ago"
Crow getting some new cape DRIP
Whoa, that was inspiring and changed my thoughts on cloaks. I'm a Hunter user and sometimes I thought cloaks were annoying, some didn't look good.
"Working on something big" new complete destiny history video?
I only ever wore the legend of six coyotes or dead zone revolution in d1. In d2 I always wear Cayde's or the Neoteric Kiyot cloak one. The latter of which I've just headcannoned that the damage is from the years its served me.
I didn't realize that Crow has to become the Hunter Vanguard.
Technically he doesn’t
@@b0bmcsomthing248 but its so obvious hes going to be
Forgot one aspect, him going out on dates with Holiday, the sly dog....
The beginning is the reason why i am a hunter
Imagine we get all this amazimg arc only for it to turn out him becoming a villain or something like controlled by the hive or something
We'll see in the Witch Queen, I hope him whistling that tone means nothing tho..
Something poetic about Eva making it because her last cloak was caydes
I love the backstory given to Crow. It’s one of the most interesting story beats we’ve seen in several seasons IMO.
If crow get the hawkmoon as the hand cannon once he becomes the hunter vanguard mentor
I've used the Tangled Web Cloak since Forsaken since it was the first ever cloak I liked and it was the first ever item I tried to grind for. My old friend Stealthy helped me get my first one and he wore it as well so even though him and I aren't friends anymore I still wear it as a way to remember the friendship that was.
can't wait for amanda to find out who crow is
Just want to point out we're already familiar with another character who's lived three lives.
Auresh;
Oryx, the Taken King; and
Oryx, the *taken* King.
The big question is: are we going to get our own version of Crow's cloak?
id love it if i get a poncho and cloak in one
I have thoroughly enjoyed Crow's character arc, it has been something unique and special. I love it.
UA-cam has some big ass dubble standards, they just played a add with full frontal nudity, like wtf UA-cam

What are you working on Byf ? WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON ?
All these secrets are driving me crazy
So why did Pulled Pork's name get changed to Glint? Or are they two different ghosts?
No it's the same ghost, as for the name change, Crow apparently didn't like it and gave his ghost the name Glint instead and Glint don't mind it.
After all guardians being the ones to name there ghost is a long running tradition and pulled pork was to all intent and purpose, a placeholder nickname given to the ghost by others.
@@Awoken_Remmuz Ah, gotcha. I doubted he had two ghosts because no Guardian has to my knowledge.
@Master Skye It's in one of the "Ghost Stories" lore pieces. I forgot which one.
As a hunter I agree completely with this video
Maybe one day, *Bungie* will flesh out our character as much as they fleshed out literally *Everyone Else!*
After all this time fighting hive Gods and fallen houses, time traveling death bots and space rhino's,
It really aggravates me to hear the other characters refer to me casually as *"That guardian".*
I mean seriously, the vanguard could at least give us a name (Let the community decide even).
Or maybe let us know how and why our character died out there in Russia...
I would love a full Crow lore video. This one was awesome, keep up the great work.
Imagine Bungie caring this much about Warlock class items...
It’d be nice ...you know, for Bungie to at least pretend they don’t all main hunters.
Agreed.

This means we’re finally going to get the outfit from that old concept art they had for Crow!
Please yes! A full history of him would make for a wonderful video!
I’d love a full story on Crow. Loved your work as always Byf, killer job! Cant wait to see your next video, and I know it will be great!
I remember when I initially heard about uldren getting resurrected, I thought bungie were going crazy. Now that I've gotten back into the game and experienced his character I've realized how wonderful he is and how amazing the writing team is.
I've recently found new appreciation for D2 and it's lore.
I love how Warlocks have their libraries, Titans have their wall, mark and orders, but for Hunters the most expressive thing about them are their cloaks and subtle symbols in/on them (as in the cloaks).
I'd so like to see more named characters in the tower. Seeing Druis walk around in the tower would be pretty awesome
