- Battling rain, wind and chilly conditions, the stars of Street Outlaws No Prep Kings managed to put on a great show at RT66 Joliet! Rain all day Friday and into the night with cold temps put an end to the racing after a handful of passes due to sketchy track surface. Saturday brought back the wind and chilly temps but the rain held off under the overcast skies all day. Daddy Dave, racing in the 32 Car Invitational took out Joe Woods The Dominator Dart but then lost to Jerry Bird's Probe. In the Outlaw Big Tire Race Daddy Dave dominated as he takes out Robin Roberts Turbo Firebird, Shawn Wilhoit's The Mistress Camaro, Dean Karn's Stinky Pinky Chevelle and Kye Kelley's Aftershock Camaro to claim the $10,000 prize! Sept.7-8 '18 at Rt66 Joliet, Illinois

When I was a kid and a teen in the late 70's and into the 80's, a father and son drag team lived on the street over from us. The son had a fiberglass Opal GT with a tube frame that looked like a funny car with a small block Chevy while his Dad had a short wheelbase rail type dragster & a mid 60's Chevy II. Every Sunday, after Saturday race night, they'd be out back of the house tuning and repairing while we were eating Sunday dinner. As they would be revving up those beauties. My Mom and sister would be complaining to me and my Dad about that "racket", while my Dad and I were getting stiffies from the beautiful music those machines were making! Great memories!

I highly doubt that. Yes there decent but the pro’s like John Force and Big Daddy Don Garlits where cutting .05 lights when Daddy Dave was still 💩 in his hands and rubbing it in his face. Plus try driving 10k hp instead of 2000hp and a 1/4 instead of an 1/8th. And I like Dave but worlds greatest drag racer he isn’t sorry.

It's crazy how them 481x motors produce power with an adder. I haven't seen one on nos but Dave's procharger is better
Mike Lock if it was still 1/4 mile those pat musi engines would destroy those prolines at the top end. Those musi high horsepower engines are amazing at the top end. 1/8 mile is too short for their full potential

Kevin and Meghan Law its a very strong engine and can take abuse. That engine has been around for awhile. The block and heads are made by alan johnson racing for supercharged top alcohol dragster and funny car. Proline had them reconfigure it to their specs. and made it where you could run turbos or prochargers. Strictly race only engine, no water jackets nothing. Why do you think they push them around the pits. They don’t stay turned of for too long or they will overheat
Does Dave run a turbo into the procharger....its a very unique setup....I just don't know for sure what he's got going on in that beast.

No, it is my buddy @VictoryRedColorado doing this one. We were shooting video at the same event, he was just on the other side of the track from me. This was his first "Street Outlaws" event he has ever been at so it was kind of exciting to share that experience with him. Funny shit. I remember the episode when Dave finally told chief he was building his own car and pulling the Sonoma off the list. Chiefs face was priceless you could tell they were all scared of daddy dave. Hell I would've been to.

It had nothing to do with that truck being pulled off the list because for one if that were the case that actually helped them because at the time the truck was the fastest car the 405 had. The Discovery channel still is part of the races (we say who wins routine) at the strips if it's on their channel. We've had this same crew at strips where I live and they paid many of our area drivers money and purposely told them not to really grudge race the TV racers. Prep or no prep makes no difference if they are involved or have a say so in it. You wasted "smh" at something you didn't comprehend reading.

It's weird. Dave alot of success w the Nova 2 Bodie gave him. Bodie has one also seems to have no luck. Dominator has a fast car but only seems to do good out of town or against Monza. Oops was I thinking out loud. No matter what car you put Dave in he's always fast!!!
