I'm praying & working for restoration in my marriage right now! She wants a divorce but I want a rebirth of our marriage. Marriages 22 years! *I'm being encouraged to love her but to move on so I can live a health life.

I’m blessed to be growing my relationship with God and living in love no matter the cost. I want to thank God for forgiving me for all my selfish sins and ways. I thank him for the increase and blessing he is bringing into my life. I'm a born again Christian and got married 9 months ago and it has been terrible. Dan Mohler's testimony is sooo similar to what is going on with my husband, but the thing is, it was happening even before we got married. I regret marrying him and should have listened to my gut and the red flags. I'm trying to understand if Dan is referring to any and all situations in a marriage or only non abusive situations? My husband has been emotionally and mentally and verbally abusive so I'm seeking Godly perspectives on divorcing being valid if you regretted marrying the person in the first place versus having had a solid foundation as a couple for years and years. My husband basically put on a facade, and I'm literally thinking he's a covert narcissist, so I'm curious what Dan would say for that situation or would he say the same thing about loving the other person whether they return the love or not. Well, yeah they may not return the love but what if they're doing the opposite and destroying you?
Marriage is a vow we make before God. I understand what you are saying. God has radically saved and delivered myself and my husband! There is ALWAYS HOPE. PRAYING FOR YOU.
I have started taking notes in a little app in my phone. I have been watching anywhere between 3 and 10 videos a day most days. And especially with Dan but also with others God has started speaking to me and I started writing notes down. I run UA-cam with the notes running behind it and I pause the video and go make a little comment in my notes it automatically saves it I go back to the video I'm getting a little book started.
Incredibly challenging when your spouse has ALEXITHYMA, Schizoid narcissism and Asperger’s, no emotion, no empathy, self-centered gaslight, and your invisible. What about the the wife in a Christian and emotionally destructive Marriage? It’s so easy for people to say trust Jesus submit to your husband and accept your lot in life that you will never have compassion, empathy, or recognition From the man, you married that one day said oh by the way, I’m not the man you married I’m tired of masking . Dear God🙏💕❤in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in the bible that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as my Lord. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Amen.
The only problem I had with this; is it emphasized how Christians downplay abuse and trauma that a person may have experienced (specifically in a marriage) And then almost shame the women for not just quickly moving to forgiveness. Christians need to learn that Christ actually created us to learn and process emotion.. Because healing trauma that is held within the body is actually what brings us closer to the resurrection.... Nothing would irritate me more than being disregarded by my husband for years and then watching him gain all the glory by becoming a pastor. I've seen this so many times in my personal family and church. While the wife sits back as he kept calling her sweet.... Which is code for quiet and submissive. I don't mean to be negative but something just doesn't sit right with this. There is always an undertone of shaming in Christian preaching. The way they mock how people process feelings... There needs to be more training for pastors who have not actually experienced any level of abuse and then try to get on the pulpit.
