Thank you, It does get planned out and I usually have a copy on my phone, I use www.realtimetrains.co.uk/ when the times for the rail tours goes up and then I plan the trains around it with the other trains but the Birmingham to Duddeston part was quick planning while on the move. There is a plan and try to get there with time before it passes but it what happens on the day that make it interesting
Got to admire the level and detail of planning that goes into these epic quests. Wonder if any of the passengers were playing ‘Spot SimOnTrains’! Happy New Year
Thank you and that is a good question, I know on the CrossCountry Trains Class 43 HST Farewell there was one who message me saying Hi and another person spotted me, even when I was filming next Sunday's video yesterday 3 or 4 people saw me lol.
Fantastic Simon! Yes, I know, I'm way behind ya here. Quite a day out, sir. My Birthday too. So the Tugs are being retired too. I wonder if they'll all be broken up or refurbished and sold on?(Poor Ian! What did he do wrong! 😁 ) Great stuff. Keep safe, warm and thanks again. Cheers!
Brilliant video Cyber, the new camera has amazing picture quality. Lovely to see the class 60 on the railtour, it's a shame DB are getting rid of their 60's. It's also amazing to see Clun Castle in action. Shame about missing that train though even if it was a 350/2 lol.
I was on that railtour for fourteen hours - excruciating, but I finally got to travel along the Kineton Branch, and the Class 60 haulage was welcome, too. I didn’t get any decent photos, so it was nice to watch your video.
Thank you and hope you enjoyed your day, I've done a few Pathfinders Railtours before and they are very long days. Remember doing the Tugging Shedmaster in 2015 and the Great Central Lament in 2017, it was a excuse to go through the remains of Sheffield Victoria Station.
Very good quality picture from the new camera That looked like an epic day, whether you were chasing the tour or travelling on it, and I also liked the bonus footage of Clun Castle and the class 20 Excellent video as always, Cyber, and wishing you all the best for 2024
there's a cracking cafe i go to near acock's green station. just down the road. i continuously went there when seeing 7029 twice a saturday every week in november and december. great video simOn
Great vlog Simon and great chasing of the DB Class 60 on the rail tour around the West Midlands. Nice bonus footage of the Polar Express worked with Clun castle too. I enjoyed watching as always!
Great video, Simon, and the new camera makes a real difference! Well done on catching that railtour in so many different locations. Hope you have a fantastic 2024!
Hi Simon Another fantastic video as usual, lots of running around the West Midlands to get the tour in various place but all worth it! That new camera you bought is really, really good, the night shots are fantastic and quality really shows through. Great work sir! Thanks
God this camera is so much better! Dudd-e-ston!! not Duddleston lol and it's hilarious the Tour is the Midland Ian! Not You Ian Poole. Excellent vlog regardless
Great video Simon ... I have never seen or even thought about chasing the same train across multiple locations ... shame about the Tugs ... maybe GBRf and DCR amongst others will pick these up and put them to use ...
A fantastic video Simon loving the new camera, a massive difference in quality and a very enjoyable video. Happy new year to you and looking forward to what’s installed for 2024!
I heard some charters do go to Stratford but this one did only went as far as Dorridge so it went from Moor Street to Dorridge Goods Loop and then went back to Birmingham Moor Street
Thank you, I really do like the chasing video as they are fun and put you on your toes as well. There was one filmed last month but will be going out on the 25th February, only a short chase but a video I wanted to do for a while. Finally got round to film that video as well.
I'm definitely enjoying the improved quality here! Great video, Simon! Definitely a fun vlog chasing around the final DB Class 60 on it's railtour!! Happy New Year to you!
@Sim0nTrains Great camera I brought the pocket 2 a month before the three was launched I'm very impressed with it can I ask what editing software you use and finally happy new year
My goodness! I don't know how you organise these chases, it wears me out just watching them, 10 out of 10 for dedication.

I wish I could do this for the day or even just go and see it one in the day but I find it hard to get days off work and miss so many these train

Only saw one of these once on a freight service at Cardiff

Steam tour: the polar express 7029 Clun Castle with a class 20 locomotive on the rear from Stratford upon Avon to Birmingham Moor Street

Nice One Happy New year Simon.
Thank you and a Happy New Year to you as well
Yeah it’s a sad time to see the 60s now leaving GB cargo
It is, hopefully they can find new homes
Dont u mean db cargo
@@Sim0nTrainsyeah
Great video Simon happy new year
Thank you and a happy new year to you as well.
yet an other great video thank you for doing what you do nice one.
lmao @ the Ian cameo.
Will admit that was quite funny
such a shame they are getting rid of the 60's
It is, used to remember enjoy seeing them all over the country, one of the reason why is that traffic for DB Cargo has declined.
Seems odd seeing a slow Class 60 pulling a passenger train, rather than 1000+ loads
Did you film this on the Pocket 3 simon answered my own question when i noticed the mic
Yes this was the debut vlog for the Pocket 3
@Sim0nTrains
Great camera I brought the pocket 2 a month before the three was launched I'm very impressed with it can I ask what editing software you use and finally happy new year
@@Burtonupontrentrailwaystoday The software I use is Wondershare Filmora (You do have to pay for a license key)
@Sim0nTrains
Thank you Simon
I love Class 60s, but given the choice between Clitheroe Castle and Clun Castle, I would have picked Clun Castle.
