I ended up with the fiber cable since I was on the early side of the pre-orders. They switched to the copper cable for later users since they didn't have enough made yet at that time. I'm happy with the fiber cable so far. I also have the older style USB breakout box, so far it's been fine. I'm also trying to deal with the weight by using the Studioform Apache Comfort Strap, just arrived the other day. It seems to improve the side to side slip I was getting, when shifting quickly left and right. I need to check the foveated rendering, but it's kinda hard to see if it's doing anything while in the headset other than FPS boost.

What do you think the Crystal screen is so much better than Quest 3 screen? What about the sharpness? Crystal is so much sharper or it is a little bit? And what about the 3d effect in the crystal you can feel the right depth in the Crystal or not because the old Pimax 5k plus and 8kx suffer from poor 3d effect .

Pimax have started selling the Crystal without the controllers. Do you need them at all?

For simracing? no... plug in a gamepad (i use my xbox controller) and you can navigate your entire VR environment.... you aim the pointer with your head, and click on it with a button on the gamepad.
I've never taken the controllers out the of box since day 1 of owning the device.
I use Joy to key to make my ganepad into a mouse, I don't even need to take the headset off
You need to set DFR to minimum... Maximum..it's the opposite to what you think

@@vressentials He is actually right lmao. max and minimum is mixed up. Just test it. You will get more FPS using minimum. In the next update, this will be fixed. You will see wherever the Minimum option is now they will have "Aggressive" option.
