Good One yes❤ i agree. I have the MO6 ,MX49 MOXF6 and the MM6 the somewhat motif line

This presentation is amazing. Bert is amazing at finding the best sounds of a keyboard, even if sometimes he makes short clips so you don't realize the REAL quality of mm6. The MM6 seems interesting, but it doesn't have user presets for your own sounds, no aftertouch, only midi in and out, etc.
@sakebutor1 I mean, it takes a LOT of dedication to this keyboard to make the piano sound sweet like this, because of the lack of feel in the keys. A normal pianist would give up with this machine. This guy makes it sound like it's the best piano you've ever heard.
That guitar blows my mind. I remember when I wanted a Motif so bad a few years back, but was never able to get it, and ended up getting a QS6.1, which was still good, but oh man I wanna get this when I can!
For jazz players, both of these keyboards are good. MM6 is the synth based on PSR-S500 gear. MM6 has the real-time sound modify knobs, PSR-S has more advanced arranger functionality. MM6 also has very realistic Mega Voices, whereas PSR-S has built-in speakers. MM6 is called "smaller, cheaper Motif", PSR-S500 is called "smaller, cheaper Tyros", so the choice belongs to you :)
Very nice keyboard...I have my Yamaha MM6...i upgrade and sold my Roland E-28...Now i'm enjoying my Yamaha MM6, very useful since i am handling 2 Choirs and A Show Band in our Company...Also i'm the Overall Coordinator of our Music Club..So many good patches and patterns...in the Future i'm planning to Upgrade on Yamaha MO6...
Yamaha, tasty playing and to the point, can't go wrong with that. It's like with me and Ibanez. Incredible guitarist, great guitar manufacturer and straight to the point.
I like him more and more, with every watch :D, he knows how to show product and what is going on at the moment, full profgesionalism :) I got Yamaha MM6 not long time ago and it's really fun ^_^ *violin sounds* Great video ^_^
It does sound great. I have bought it myself. I am actually mostly a pianist myself so I know what you are talking about when you are disappointed that the key are not weighted, but actually you get used to the keys very quickly. I think it is a great keyboard.
Its Adrian Edmondson!!! Such enthusiasm, i love it. He's right, i may just buy one of these as opposed to something at £100 which i was planning, until now.
This guy is right up there with Ron Popeil, Chef Tony, Billy Mays, and the ShamWow Guy. I can honestly say Bert Smorenburg made me go from just thinking about ordering an MM6 to actually buying one. Can't wait to get mine. And to get funky.
Step up is HUGE! The step up is so big, it's like you're comparing two totally different instruments. You'll be going from the PSR arranger interface of the MM6 to a board that has the interface of the Motif ES. HUGE JUMP, and for some it's a large learning curve because the MM6 and the MO series are so different from eachother.
My Gosh --I am so impressed by your talent in playing .!!! wish I knew just a little bit of how to play like you --love everything you demo'd. I should have waited --and bought this yammie --i just bought the 530 and it will have to do. Thanks for sharing this vid !
What the hell! :D No one could make me want to buy an instrument I cannot play. This guy just did. This guy can sell anything. And his playing is excellent.
Awsome demo...! He reminds me a bit of Photoshop guru Russell Brown, both completely hilarious as well as seriously good at what they do. Thanks for the show...!
I have the Juno D and I like really like the sound quality of it. This Yamaha seems pretty good also, and looks to have a few more features than the Juno. I hope this helps.
I've used the MM6 live now for a year and a half - durable and everything this rep says it is. Looks like a toy, as light as a feather, but is filled with the big Motif features.
It is a PSR keyboard. The screen is from the DGX series, the knobs from the DJX line, the sequencer from the S-500. Several of the sounds are even from the PSR line. Yamaha beefed this PSR with Motif sounds and dropped the speakers. The Pre-MM6 was called the Yamaha DJX. Look that one up.
Best presentation I have ever seen! I owned this keyboard, It is cool, it is sad that Yamaha don't produce it anymore. But the guy is amazing! Where is new demo with him?
Jeheiel Smith The only thing I don´t like on the MM6 is the keybed. I had one for testing, and it felt like the keyboard of a PSR-E-Series model. The sound is not bad at all.
I have one of these Bought it for 100us... I love it. This is a great example of what it does... But no SPEAKERS. GOTTA RUN IT THRU MY BASS AMP... Sounds great.
I think so :) ! I have a Yamaha keyboard, and a MacBook. I use Garage Band, with a midi interface. You should be able to use it with ableton too... I've tried it, and it worked!
Haha, I bought this.... It's wicked!! But then again I think the learning process for any new synthesizer takes a while. But it is worth it, from my POV
All three of those are good models. You just have to ask yourself which one you'd like better in terms of sounds, and which one has the features you would use the most. However, keep in mind the Juno-G does not have a pattern sequencer. It only has a 16 trk sequencer (that does loop). The MO6 has both a 16 trk pattern and 16 trk linear. The TR has great sounds too, and IMO Korg still takes the lead in string and orchestral patches.
Yes, you can just use the computer and play it through there. I've been doing it for years. You just need to get a stereo cord (probably from a place like radio shack), and just plug that into the headphone out jack on the keyboard, and into the line in jack for the computer. I've got my DJX set up like that.
It's called being a good player - Bert knows his stuff ... if anything, sound quality here on UA-cam is atrocious. The only thing they might have done is pass the sound through a mastering compressor/EQ, but you can do the same, using even the machine's own internal effects.
Yes, this is an excellent presentation, this guy's style is awesome, and he can play to back it up-- great timing. Curious if I can record my own drum patterns on the Ya, but then it comes with Cubase, anyway so-- there ya go. Tax return present, here I come!
The Best sales man in the history!
elvistar agree
14 year old me saw this video back in 2007. I bought it and I still use it to this day. I'm now 24. Thank you for the all the happy year
this is by far the most soulful synth demo I've ever seen!!! Bravo!!!!
Great demo presentation! In a limited time this excellent musician has shown us so much the MM6 can do. Bravo!
This guy rules. I can't even play and now I need to get one of these electrified pianos.
What a brilliant demonstrator - his enthusiasm is infectious!
Because of this guy I bought an MM6. A good decision it was. :D
Good One yes❤ i agree. I have the MO6 ,MX49 MOXF6 and the MM6 the somewhat motif line

The MM6 seems interesting, but it doesn't have user presets for your own sounds, no aftertouch, only midi in and out, etc.
Such an amazing salesman! Anyone can see how happy he is using the keyboard and that's the whole point!
This guy can make every keyboard sounds amazing :)
@sakebutor1 I mean, it takes a LOT of dedication to this keyboard to make the piano sound sweet like this, because of the lack of feel in the keys.
A normal pianist would give up with this machine.
This guy makes it sound like it's the best piano you've ever heard.

Seriously---one can't fake that enthusiasm or aptitude. What a guy.
Brilliant review - this guy really knows how to play this thing - cheers for posting - PS - great sounds on 1st listen here - need to hear more soon.

Step it up im from the XS Set MX49

Love this guy, he's so awesome and the things he played are also very good. ^^
I actually liked 5:02-5:11. I don't know what's more entertaining.. watching him play or seeing this great keyboard in action.
Yamaha, tasty playing and to the point, can't go wrong with that. It's like with me and Ibanez. Incredible guitarist, great guitar manufacturer and straight to the point.

Great video ^_^
This guy actually got me to buy one of these back in the day.
The guy is a proper showman!! Apart from his sales pitch in the end, that was quite fun...
oh man i love this guy...he makes those product-presentations fun!
YES! So awesome to see how stoked you are about music!
Man!, that keyboard is wonderful! I want to buy that machine!!!
It does sound great. I have bought it myself. I am actually mostly a pianist myself so I know what you are talking about when you are disappointed that the key are not weighted, but actually you get used to the keys very quickly. I think it is a great keyboard.
about time we had a more fun approach to these demos..the guys awesome..
man this keyboard rocks!!, love yamaha stuff from their motorbikes to their music instrument!!..
"I have no idea what I'm doing, but it's fun!" this guy is really one of a kind
This one video made me buy a Yamaha MM6.
This guy is awesome!!!... He knows how to sell a product.. Nice YAMAHA!!!
This guy almost makes me want 2 buy this keyboard just because he looks like he's havin fun!
Its Adrian Edmondson!!! Such enthusiasm, i love it. He's right, i may just buy one of these as opposed to something at £100 which i was planning, until now.

before buying this product I would love to learn from you,...You are madly in love with your job,..
Best. Salesman. Ever. This guy cracks me up.
I dont know what is more interesting.
The Keyboard or this great guy xD He's in his element :D

very cool demo and instrument
i love how excited he gets and he's dutch and he's pretty good:D

wish I knew just a little bit of how to play like you --love everything you demo'd.
I should have waited --and bought this yammie --i just bought the 530 and it will have to do.
Thanks for sharing this vid !
Great demo ! this guy has passion for his game and I like that. Do it with passion or don't do it at all. Keep it up champ.
This guy knows how to play different tones, and how to show features of a keyboard!
What the hell! :D
No one could make me want to buy an instrument I cannot play. This guy just did.
This guy can sell anything. And his playing is excellent.
Awsome demo...! He reminds me a bit of Photoshop guru Russell Brown, both completely hilarious as well as seriously good at what they do. Thanks for the show...!
“ I have no idea what I’m doing but it’s fun “ amazing :)

Bert Smorenburg is the bomb... at doing Yamaha product demos anyway. Go look them all up, he's pure entertainment.

You're really fun to watch....great keyboard.....great presenter!!!!!:)
This guy is a star - who cares about the keyboard, he should be on TV. At first I thought it was Adrian Edmonson doing a Swedish accent - brilliant!
i could sit and watch him all day no shit
Best presentation I have ever seen! I owned this keyboard, It is cool, it is sad that Yamaha don't produce it anymore. But the guy is amazing! Where is new demo with him?
This guy is awesome!!! :D and the keyboard, too..
Agreed! I don't want to hear talk...play the machine! I'm buyin' one! Excellent demo!
Now this is a great host to talk about keyboards!
More videos please!
More reviews should be made like this... He's straight to the point.... And now I want an MM6!!! =]
🤠✌🏻Uhuuuuuu YEAH!🤠✌🏻
Coolest synth demo - no argument!!!
I bought the thing from BAX! Really nice shop and amazing knowledged guys at the shop.
This guy gets me excited about this keyboard all over again
Jeheiel Smith I prefer the MX61 or MoXF 6 instead
If I had the money to, I would as well But the mm6 costs a couple hundred dollars less than those.
Jeheiel Smith The only thing I don´t like on the MM6 is the keybed. I had one for testing, and it felt like the keyboard of a PSR-E-Series model. The sound is not bad at all.
Hahaha this sums it up:
"I've no idea what I'm doing, but it's fun!"
What a great guy!
That was a really cool presentation, thanks :)
I got mine in the mail today:) Thanks Bert your Demo convinced me!
I have one of these
Bought it for 100us...
I love it. This is a great example of what it does... But no SPEAKERS.
GOTTA RUN IT THRU MY BASS AMP... Sounds great.

Best demo video ever!
I think so :) ! I have a Yamaha keyboard, and a MacBook. I use Garage Band, with a midi interface. You should be able to use it with ableton too... I've tried it, and it worked!
Ce mec est fort, tellement enthousiaste...
Je vais l'acheter rien que pour lui!
Best demo of a keyboard ever 😎😎😎
very good demo. I was looking at a Korg, but this is changing my mind big time!
I must admit, he is one hell of a seller!
Well I love the introduction.
It's as big as my Casio LK-55 but with more features. I'll consider buying it
Dangnammit, I'm ready to it!!! He's definitely a seller!!!
If I met a seller like this in person, I would definitely shake his hands big time.
Haha, I bought this.... It's wicked!! But then again I think the learning process for any new synthesizer takes a while. But it is worth it, from my POV
I'm also recordind the first album of my band with the keyboards entirely made from mm6 and nothing else. it just fills my needs
the sound is great!!!
I think not. He's the best presenter from Yamaha and sells far the most products. And why? Because of he's genious presentations :)
All three of those are good models. You just have to ask yourself which one you'd like better in terms of sounds, and which one has the features you would use the most. Best demo EVER! I'm pretty sure this guy use to be a sham wow salesman! You following this camera guy?
Yes, you can just use the computer and play it through there. I've been doing it for years. You just need to get a stereo cord (probably from a place like radio shack), and just plug that into the headphone out jack on the keyboard, and into the line in jack for the computer. I've got my DJX set up like that.
I've no idea what i'm doing but it's fun! haha this guy is awesome.
I've got a Yamaha MO8, but I've been kind of wanting an extra 61 key keyboard to go along with it. This one might be good...
Such a refreshing way to demo.
Great demo! ;-)
this guy is awesome and so is the piano haha
aqui é um lugar pra cultura pra quem saca música e não pra falar besteiras
It's called being a good player - Bert knows his stuff ... if anything, sound quality here on UA-cam is atrocious. The only thing they might have done is pass the sound through a mastering compressor/EQ, but you can do the same, using even the machine's own internal effects.
Every reviewer should be like this guy ! =D
This guy is the king!
This guy is insane. I like it.
The piano patch rocks.
Yes, this is an excellent presentation, this guy's style is awesome, and he can play to back it up-- great timing. Curious if I can record my own drum patterns on the Ya, but then it comes with Cubase, anyway so-- there ya go. Tax return present, here I come!
