Mr. Brewzle please don’t be afraid to give low scores! Stick by ur gut and give it a score u think it deserves and not to appease us. Cuz as a avid viewer of this channel I know u have the caliber to hand out appropriate ratings. Once again I’m loving these videos keep up the good work sir 👍🏽
@@Brewzle you should score availability and price separate from the rest and add it to the score because that's why the pappy scored at 62 because the cost killed it's score
I have been creating content for a few years for work. They are technical eCommerce videos so no one wants to watch them but it did help develop a decent style for UA-cam. I won't link you, but you should see the first few of those, lol. So bad.
Love that the tastings are blind so there’s no bias. New scoring system is great too. Including the availability and price as a small part is nice for the more average drinkers that don’t go out on searches or can’t afford the high dollar stuff. (I can’t even find Buffalo Trace anywhere nearby. Finally talked to my local store and they’re going to order one for me specifically on the next truck!)
I got of a bottle of this on sale for $34, couldn’t pass it up. It is good & different. To me it has a sweet corn twang/flavor, I like it. Maybe the Mesquite wood.
Love the new scoring format. I think the "fear" of scoring something you love poorly is causing you to be more generous in your reviews. Don't worry! That's part of bourbon love; nostalgia for things that, when we taste them blind, we criticise them but never lose our love for them because of what they mean to us. Rock on!
Problem with me and LongBranch... half the price WT101 is much more enjoyable... around same price Rare Bread and any of the Russels blow it out of the water... I think it should be in the $30-35 range which also fills in at that price range for them. Cheers, Great Review.
Very interesting blind this time. I echo jesters comments.. I sensed some apprehension or concern of trying not to misjudge the Bourbon based on what it actually was. Overall though your blinds have been good and you certainly have a mature palette to discern things. Can't wait to see you build up the blind listing based on the 2.0 scoring system. Well done!
i didnt think id like this stuff, i love turkey 101, kentucky spirit, and rb, but heck I was surprised. this is a damn good sipper when you want something light.
I haven’t developed my palate much yet. I’m 5-6 months into learning and trying diff bourbons. I will say early in my journey I kept coming back to Long Branch. It was my favorite for a while - maybe the lower proof was why?
There's a local bourbon here in Washington called Chambers Bay, and they age it in a boathouse. Apparently the rocking of the water helps to age it faster? Regardless, its one of my favorites, I think you'd like it.
Sounds like a knock off or a less costly concept of Jefferson’s Ocean aged at sea….it’s aged like 8 years on land and finished on a ship for 5-10 months.
Brother's Bond Bourbon made by the two lead actors in "The Vampire Diaries" would be a great video for review. My daughter is dying to try it and I keep telling her. "Wait for Brewzle" :) Cheers
Great video.. actually your blind taste review is right on the money.. its an ok product with a higher than what it deserves price. I would take a plain 35$ Tin Cup over it any day. also for a few more dollars the Wild Breed is infinately better deal.
I’ve found most spirits connected to celebrity is just another form of marketing. It doesn’t mean anything. Gimmick. If it wasn’t for Matthews name being attached, this is an Ancient Age whiskey and price
Now that Wild Turkey and Matthew McConaughey have parted ways, he has now moved on to a different liquor venture with his wife. They now own a brand of Tequila brand called Pantalones. Which, in my opinion, is not a good tequila because it’s filled with additives and consequently doesn’t taste good either.
@@Brewzle Tastes too thin to me compared to other Turkey products, plus I feel like the finish is lacking. Most likely the proof point, combined with the hint of smoke I just don’t enjoy. Like you mentioned, 101 for less $ is the way to go 🥃

even though I'm a smoker not a drinker at all I always stop to watch these reviews they are so informative and entertaining. Good stuff!
Glad you like them!

Does he have any background in like acting or something, even in his like earliest videos he’s so well spoken and confident

Very true!
Really like your new format. I'll definitely be sticking with other Turkey products.
I like it it's a great summer easy sipper to have around a campfire. Wish it was a bit higher proof but at least it isn't 80 proof
To each their own but I love the Longbranch

Definitely need larger pours for the reviews, no way that mouthfeel was that above average. Still fun to watch but I’ll keep drinking Rare Breed! 😁😋

My daughter got me a bottle of this for Christmas. It's not bad but not the best.
Oh Yeah! Love the reviews! I like Long Branch and it is easier for me to get than the 101
I like this two staged blind review format, pretty cool. The bourbon hunting videos are awesome as well.
I absolutely love these reviews! Always know your reviews are well made and genuine
This bourbon is super mild. I’d say it’s great to get people into bourbon who doesn’t like the more harsh stuff. I prefer Russel Reserve 10yr

I just had a customer gift me a bottle of this. It's a decent whiskey. As a Texan I wanted it to be much better that it is, but it's not bad.
I think it makes an amazing Old Fashioned. That bit of smoke just suits the drink IMO.

I mean tin cup is like 20 bucks here and i think even at 20 its a significantly worse whiskey. Rare breed is awesome tho
Thanks for sharing!
Surely it means that they char the barrels using that particular kind of charcoal?
Liking the new scoring system, and the blind tasting. 👍🏻
Longbranch is my fav turkey product...
Video I’ve been waiting for! Love this bourbon, fantastic on ice with a top up of vanilla coke
Longbranch is a good session Bourbon: I love it in the spring and summer.
How’s your whiskey Michael?
“It’s alright, alright, alright.”
Lol!
Just went back to longbranch last weekend and it was better than I remember. But I would rather just spend the extra $ and buy rare breed.
I can get Longbranch at my local liquor store for 28$ all day. I think for that price its not bad.
Solid review. I haven't had Longbranch. Why when i can get 101 for 20 bucks less. (Canadian dollars)
Loving the new score 2.0 Is there a list of what all you are blinding and when video will be released?
I just picked up wild turkey rare breed. Think it’s 116 proof and never had it. If you have tried it what did you think about it.
I just saw that Terry Bradshaw has his own Kentucky Straight Burbon have you tried it. 103 proof
I remember not liking it at all, and i know many people who feel the same, but if youre curious you should try it and make your own opinion.
Not a bad bourbon. Love da bottle.
Can you review a bottle of: 'BREAKER: black label' usually around $50- found it to be smoky, caramel, smooth...
Might be better than the standard 81 proof might be. For the price get the 101 it’s a better whiskey and it’s a higher proof.
do jack daniels single barrel barrel proof
Good review. Spot on in my opinion.
Much appreciated!
Your videos are awesome!!!!!!
Glad you like them!
I've not come across the wild turkey product that I haven't liked but honestly you might as well just get 101 Rye or bourbon at half the price
I’ve found most spirits connected to celebrity is just another form of marketing. It doesn’t mean anything. Gimmick. If it wasn’t for Matthews name being attached, this is an Ancient Age whiskey and price
I have a bottle at home and not a huge fan. I do like wild turkey 101 and also there rare breed 116 proof
Nice
The label on the back says "caramel color added"
Such a great looking bottle shame its not good.
I bet refined is just another word for polished
Take McConaughey's off and I'll buy it.
I could sleep on a bed of this guys voice

The title is “is is” you repeated is. Were you trying to say “IT IS” or “IS IT?”
Don't use short music clips on repeat like this. It's far too distracting.
Longbranch isn't bad but it isn't that good either. Luckily I only paid $29 for it.
It’s good that they removed Matthew, after his anti-gun rant, he doesn’t deserve to be representing an American whiskey.
i feel like the normal age for these is 8 years with a ranom marketing hook
I like Longbranch, but think it is just a little overpriced.
"Do you know good bourbon?
It'd be a lot cooler if you did."
wait...who's the old guy w the thing on his face again...?
Day 2 of asking: Can you do a review of the Slipknot whiskey and then compare it to the Metallica whiskey?
That is really, and I'm trying to be nice, putrid
they stole my name
Only 2 ounces? You sir don't know how to so a proper review yet
constantly improving
Its fine, its just thin and pretty easily the worst value of the standard turkey lineup
Least favorite Turkey 🦃 👎
Why is that?
@@Brewzle Tastes too thin to me compared to other Turkey products, plus I feel like the finish is lacking. Most likely the proof point, combined with the hint of smoke I just don’t enjoy. Like you mentioned, 101 for less $ is the way to go 🥃
