This phone was way ahead of its time. The speaker on the thing was really loud everybody in the room could hear the music. I remember going into GameStop and picking up games for like $2 I had almost all of them and then sold it on eBay a long time after that for a profit. LoL
Aww man! I remember having the N-Gage QD. I loved playing Sonic N. I have to try this!!! *Update* Followed this tutorial on my son's S7 Edge and works. Thanks ETA Prime!
I got the N-Gage QD about a year after it launched for 499 SEK ($59) with 10 games included. I remember playing Rayman on the train and a kid next to me played Rayman on his GBA. We swapped for a bit and both agreed that it looked way better on the N-Gage. Kind of a hassle getting pirated games to work as you had to mount the games one at a time as a virtual E drive. Over all, it was a great gaming phone. It just got a bad rep because the first N-Gage was so awkward and clunky.
Cool! I have an N-Gage and N-Gage QD, but neither power on anymore 😢 I was big in the seen back in the day I was a moderator for one of the major N-Gage forums.
The graphics are only slightly better (arguably) then a GBA. Desperately needs a higher internal resolution setting, but I understand everything is still early. Still it is awesome it is working and I can't wait to see more!
I was hoping to see some of the newer N-gage titles here like Asphalt, Resident Evil, and Raymon, the newer one with 3d graphics, even Tomb Raider would have been nice, but I guess it's the original N-gage Rom.
This is an emulator for a system none of us wanted yet here we all are watching this. 😂 I'm honestly just hyped to try out the Elder Scrolls games made for it.
Ohmygod it can play Lament Island?! That was an epic game at a time when phones were struggling to do a text message longer than 60 characters! I've played it on the Nokia 6600, 6630 and the E51!
Laments Island was crazy you get to use the mic and camera to solve puzzles not to forgot 7 days salvation or the full chinese versions of heli striker 1 and 2 damn Devs were really good at optimisation on symbian os. Reset generation only existed on the ngage, one next is another ionic ngage game
Díos mío!!! Tengo casi 14años esperando ésto, desde que mi n-gage se me daño por meterme borracho a la playa con el, y no consigo los repuestos!! Díos gracias, gracias por compartir esto has hecho felíz a un alma desolada, My God thank you !! I've been waiting for this for almost 14 years, since my n-gage got hurt by going to the beach drunk with him, and I can't get the spare parts !! Thank you, thank you for sharing this, you have made a desolate soul happy
I remember playing all these rooms on my Symbian phones lol, 7650, 3650, n70 and n95 it was simple to run ngage on any Symbian phone back then. But the best games are basically GBA ports, so it best off playing a GBA emu. Although Ashen was a good game
So this emulator essentially runs (or more accurately, emulates) Symbian OS on your Android phone to run apps. I do remember that there were emulators back in the day for running Java MIDlets (JAR) on your PC. But this thing can actually run native Symbian binaries, not just Java. Your video brings back pleasant memories. I do remember when the Ngage came out but it never made much sense to me even as a kid. The screen looked too small and also I didn't like the whole "phone with a game controller" concept.
Finally, i can play old Sega Rally that I stored And some memories with tomb raider and some off-road game that one point I remembered the name, but now forgot what was that again.
scenes have forgotten that once upon a time there were symbian and java based games which deserve to get emulators to rerun the memories i love to see them in retropie
Ah a Symbian emulator Cool thing about java and Symbian is that even games which were made for different S60 phones can work on this ngage As long as they were made for S60 OS That actually may be his Tony hawk issue, aka he downloaded a ver for n-gage but it actually may be a ver for Motorola for example Because it's a mess right now, many websites are confusing the versions of the games Also if there was another n-gage ver in existence for example v1 and newer v2 = a game can have 2 n-gage versions 1 will work on it, other one may or may not, and some totally random Sony S60 will work on it, while some random LG S60 will not, a gamble but a good one Wrong versions can introduce glitches such as - Inability to click stuff (like how he was unable to move in Tony hawk) No sound Huge lag spikes in certain areas of the game when on the right ver everything is fine Of course the Tony hawk issue may be just the emulator issue, too, but doesn't hurt to check it out

I actually spoke to one of the guys that designed the n-gauge on why it wouldn't play videos from the SD card and it was because the phone had like no memory on it and it couldn't load the files into the phone cuz of the little tiny ram or whatever. This phone was way ahead of its time. The speaker on the thing was really loud everybody in the room could hear the music. I remember going into GameStop and picking up games for like $2 I had almost all of them and then sold it on eBay a long time after that for a profit. LoL
HOLY SHIT. FINALLY! I HAVE WAITED SO. PATIENTLY.
Aww man! I remember having the N-Gage QD. I loved playing Sonic N. I have to try this!!!
*Update* Followed this tutorial on my son's S7 Edge and works. Thanks ETA Prime!
Nice...I Always wanted to own A Nokia N gage games and cellphone back then when I was in High school.
Can't wait to try the One for Ngage.
There was a Fighting game I played all night long called "One" and I remember it was a pretty good and difficult game.
One and One: Who's next
@@SRC267 whoa they made a sequel??
I can get THPS to play, and I'm using a Samsung A71 phone. Abit choppy, but playable. There's even a song. Vandals - Eurobarge. Stoked!
As bad as people claim the N Gage was, I find the system fascinating for some reason. I may collect for it one of these days. 🤷♂️
I still wonder after so many years, why instead of a normal phone and a GBA, I got N-Gage, the frame rates were awful in almost all of the 3D Games.
It was because of the hype and the cool factor. A gaming device and a phone, wow but I would imagine the frame rates weren't that good!
3:54 where i can find this ? Help.
Cool! I have an N-Gage and N-Gage QD, but neither power on anymore 😢 I was big in the seen back in the day I was a moderator for one of the major N-Gage forums.
Actually remember blizzard had an installer for pirated games before WOW etc lol
You can emulate
Symbian s60v1 , s60v2, s60v3 and s60v5 in this emulator not just n-gage
You just need the correct firmware
I got this just as I was leaving school loved this stupid phone when I was at uni it helped with the most boring lectures of all software engineering
I'm honestly just hyped to try out the Elder Scrolls games made for it.
I had one a N Gage, however I didn't have any games. Might get this emulator for my phone and give a go.
I wanted the n-gage so badly untill a friend of mine got his first.
This brings so much memory. 🙂👌
I remember that thing. Wanted one, but I was a bit young for a phone. Plus, the only N-Gage game I remember was Sonic lol.
Waiting for this emulator on RetroPie ;-)
Welp, that archive is down
Hey ETA PRIME. One question...
Is the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus worth it in 2021?
Glimmerati was an awesome game, I can finally play it again, thank you :)
Finally, i can play old Sega Rally that I stored
And some memories with tomb raider and some off-road game that one point I remembered the name, but now forgot what was that again.
I still have two ngages from back in the day. Snake is amazing on it.
Finally !!!
I can play ELDER SCROLLS and RED FACTION ...
Awesome !!!
Also of course it runs well ..my n72 could run those games
Eta prime you are a true O.G. you have no idea how much you have helped me thank you sooooo much
How does pocket kingdom run? It had online capabilites back in the day. I'm guessing that's not working but how's it working regardless?
Good to see an Ngage/Symbian emulator 👌
I saw a buzztv stick . Can you do a emulator video on it. Please 🙏.
the symbian-os-roms is down
scenes have forgotten that once upon a time there were symbian and java based games which deserve to get emulators to rerun the memories i love to see them in retropie
The original Japanese kingdom hearts coded would be awesome.
Thanks alot. Used to play the original n-gage back in the day
ROG Phone: gaming phone
N-Gage: they called me a madman.
Ah a Symbian emulator
Cool thing about java and Symbian is that even games which were made for different S60 phones can work on this ngage
As long as they were made for S60 OS
That actually may be his Tony hawk issue, aka he downloaded a ver for n-gage but it actually may be a ver for Motorola for example
Because it's a mess right now, many websites are confusing the versions of the games
Also if there was another n-gage ver in existence for example v1 and newer v2 = a game can have 2 n-gage versions
1 will work on it, other one may or may not, and some totally random Sony S60 will work on it, while some random LG S60 will not, a gamble but a good one
Wrong versions can introduce glitches such as -
Inability to click stuff (like how he was unable to move in Tony hawk)
No sound
Huge lag spikes in certain areas of the game when on the right ver everything is fine
Of course the Tony hawk issue may be just the emulator issue, too, but doesn't hurt to check it out
