Took me about 7 hours of off-and-on work starting at around 1pm or so, but I managed to finish in one day!
I truly and honestly hope you all enjoy this; I wasn't originally intending to do this, but, well, this is what it turned into.

The war is over, but I can't stop thinking about it, the war is over and yet I tremble, I walk down by the lake, it is still and the whole world is reflected off it, I stop at the edge and cry, the war is over, and yet I am still there, I look up and see a small light on the other side of the lake, glimmering like a star in the distance, I stare at it, as it seams to be coming closer over the water, the light is hypnotic and I am locked in place, I can't move, I see the light come closer and the wing of silver light appear, I know not what I see, I am frozen in place, eclipsed by the beauty and grace, of the being that approaches me, I am eclipsed, I am still, I am carried away into another world of dreams. I am wakened to see the a symbol that was lost to time, and only one thing come to mind, The New Luna Republic, The war is not over, it has just began, I am eclipsed, and now, so is the enemy.

WestAussie Brumby The war is long over, but I just can't stop thinking about it. The war is over, yet I tremble at the thoughts of it. I walk down by the lake and see the entire world reflected off it. I stop at the edge and silently cry, 'the war is over!' I think, but I stay in place and glance over the shimmering lake.
Suddenly, a star seems to glide over the water, coming closer and closer, it's beauty locking me into place. I stare at the hypnotic light, I can't move as a wing of silver light appears. I don't know what I see, but it's graceful appearance is freezing me into place.
I am eclipsed by the grace and elegance of what approches me, I suddenly found myself carried away into another world of dreams. I see that the beautiful symbol was lost in time, and only one thought drifts through my mind: The New Lunar Republic.
The war is not over, it was only just begun. I am eclipsed, and so is the enemy. My enemy, the Gold of the lying and pittyful sun. It will flicker and die like all that will dare to stand in the way of what I had never been granted: Freedom.
For Freedom. For the night. For the New Lunar Republic!
This is actually my favorite thus far.
As for why nobody's listening, I've only been composing for about 17 months, and I didn't really start out strong.
I still don't really consider myself strong, but I can acknowledge that I've come a long way.
Also, I've noticed electronic music receives (what seems to be) a lot more attention, but that's another thing.

There'll be more video game-type music to come; I'm taking a break and giving my shot at things more suited to movies, but after that (and perhaps a bit during it), I'll try to get back to more background music and boss themes.
Under the flag of the Lunar Republic, we shall end Daybreaker's eternal day that had brought eternal drought so that the night shall rule the world.
This could easily be the soundtrack or BGM to a game like Killzone or something. This is pretty cool. Nice work with the bass strings.
Dark, dramatic and deals with Luna. This is more than worthy of an "A+" in my book.

Really cool! goes to show how powerful those orchestral sample libraries are. now if only I could get my EWQL ministry of rock 2 working.
I've been making music for a while (don't look at my youtube, it's full of garbage) and I really want to develop the sound, but being in the shadow of people who are so much better than me gets me discouraged. I know I can write music better than most, but it's making it sound good that I have troubles with. I'm a composer stuck in a world of people who know how to make electronics sound better than me, but it's glad to know there's somebody that's good at both...
I'm in that same boat.
I'm using some ProjectSAM freebies layered with some drums from Orchestral Essentials along with G-Town stomps.
If you lack the money to purchase a lot of good libraries (like me), spend a lot of time searching for free stuff (I still work with a lot of soundfonts) and layer your results accordingly.
Right now, the only good thing I have is Orchestral Essentials, and I can only use 3 instances of it due to CPU maxing out.
If you want it, go for it; never give up =3

Also, telling a story through music? NICE! I've tried to do that, but never as well as this piece. That's what a lot of really good classical composers do; use music to convey a story.
I wish Griffons got some more stuff so that their popularity'd rise and give us something else to make tracks about. Or more changelings. Or even Cadence, for pony's sake. But well, doesn't mean the sound is bad at all. Radiarc does not fail to deliver. Epic and good. Well done.

I love listening to orchestral music such as this. To give examples of really good musicians Carbon Maestro and Aspect of the Storm do music such as this. This is kind of a blend of both their styles and it's very good.
I have no idea how I haven't found you sooner and I subscribed immediately.

Kontakt was expensive as hell XD I'm just in a slump with writing, after none of my projects receiving much recognition or even criticism after spending so much time on them. I guess it's in the genre, but even the "Popular" music I try to churn out doesn't go anywhere.

In most senses, it really does require a lot of patience, especially with the orchestral genre.
Don't try to get too disheartened about not getting much recognition. It took me quite a while to gain any sort of massed attention (it took about 8 songs before any feature came along), but on the most part, it didn't really faze me. So long as you enjoy making music, that's all that matters.

Strangely enough, this song gave me an idea for a piece of fan fiction that I'm working on. (Titled very similarly to this, coincidentally.) Good music always helps me write in one way or another, and this piece is no different. Good vibes, atmosphere, and nice pacing. It's quite long, so I don't think it's that great for a playlist, but it's great nonetheless, Radiarc!

Okay, I have to ask. What program do you use for those drums? I've been looking near and far for percussion that's so powerful, I've used Drums of War in the past, but they never seemed to perform like this!
+meetsouder Orchestral Essentials for the lower drums and G-Town Church Stomps for the higher percussion.
A lot of my newer stuff uses a combination of Evolve Mutations 2/Project Alpha/Damage, but some of the patches in Orchestral Essentials come with tribal percussion in the lower end, so I used to use that.

what drum(s) did you use at 3:05? i've heard so many songs in soundtracks with the big booming percussion and i could never figure out what it was.
ThePsychoCzech Oddly enough, a combination of actual drums (the lower keys in a few ProjectSAM Orchestral Essentials patches) and stage stomps with some reverb thrown in.
I used to use the stomps a lot more, but I've gotten "better" percussion since then, so I tend to forget I even have 'em.
Last song I used them in (that I can remember) was Lower the Moon.

I've been doing this for about 17 months now and I've been working hard since the start to make what I want to make and make it well.
If you really want to be recognized, make due with what you have and push your limits, adding to your libraries when you can.
Work hard and work continuously; chances are you won't gain fame overnight.
I do one song (or more) every week to force myself out of slumps; perhaps you should try something similar if you're serious about this.

anybody out there, thoughts on my character? he is an artificial alicorn (it messed him up, asides from levitation, he can't do jack crap when it comes to magic) who used to develop weapons and spells for Nightmare Moon's uprising (named the Lunar Insurrection) he created the megaspell (the idea is from fallout equestria) and he technically murdered thousands of ponies because of that. afterwords, he goes on trial for crimes against equis, but is proven innocent. he then takes residence in a castle in the Everfree Forest and becomes the resident mad scientist. of course, now and then he has symptoms of PTSD, but that's neither here nor there.
