After hearing how annoying and breakable the clips are, I tried it without loosening the trim and it worked just fine. You just need to pry the underside of the trim open with a screwdriver to get the threaded clips in, then slide them into place, tapping them with a hammer and screwdriver to position. Probably easier with the trim down, but net-net, my money is on this approach. Knocked it out in an afternoon, with no need to find replacement clips on eBay. Thanks for the great video!

Your video helped me a ton. The only thing that makes me a little unhappy is you didn’t show those holes being drilled out. They were a pain in the a. Such a pain that some of the ones I didn’t even double up the bolts at the bottom two bolts at the top and one at the bottom and that’s strong enough.

Thanks so much for posting. Yes they are not built for the customer. They are built for the money on the purchase. Then the money the industry can get out of us after. They def don’t want us working on these things ourselves.

Great video. This was a pain in the ass in some parts but we figured it out. I think it's doable for the average person and for the money $264 plus $40 shipping I am very happy

What inboard kit did you use? These kits r very hard to make sure one is getting the correct one. Thanks much 4 the video. These things r not easy to put on often. I've put a set on my 20172 yes ago and the bracket setup was not nearly as refined and was very holy and unprofessional. Yours looks very nice.

Any help with getting the M10 bolt to catch vs free spin would be highly appreciated.

They should have just used the factory upward holes. Instead of thr pinch flange.
Very well built otherwise. I see why it cost so much.
I went from a f350 to transit. I knocked myself the first many times trying to get in. Requires holding onto steer wheel and jumping. Lol.

It passes the sliding door about a foot maybe.

Not 100 percent but I think it's a carrier bolt.
