- When I was over in Croatia I was able to hit the Losinj world cup downhill track and do a GoPro course preview of the track!
The World Cup downhill will take place in a few weeks and I'm excited to see how fast the DH pro riders are going to be!!
The track has some huge jumps, tight technical stuff, flat out sections, roots and even some street sections at the finish.
I was riding the HAIBIKE Xduro dwnhll 10.0 e-bike and it handled very well for such a crazy track!!

This track is sick... I’m from Croatia and two years ago was my first race in Lošinj. Back then, I was 16 years old. I was younges girl on track. Nice memories 🤘

Thanks for the preview Sam, but essentially a bike park bit, then a two min course followed by some back streets. Great to seee new venues but you see better stages on the EWS

This vid was very interesting to see someone as good as you struggling on this DH course. Would love to see you do it when it’s finished and compare times on the ebike DH rig to the racers on their 100% man-draulic DH rigs.
Jay Jay yeah I’d love to ride the finished course too, unfortunately I won’t be there to do so!
I rode down it lst year and had to walk like 40% of the course.
It´s so rocky and the rocks are really sharp

Wow, so are you going to do every gopro race preview this year Sam Pilgrim?! It would be sick!!!! but downhill is not only about rocks... This race is particularly too much rocky..... But yeah every track has got different features so to have more variety maybe that s why they put that new track... so this year will be tight again... Can't wait to see this first race!!! Yeaaaah!!!

What level of motor assist do you use when riding a dh track such as this?
JP Hovi none. Only works when you pedal. And doesn’t assist over 16mph

do you think that you would have a chance vs the downhill pros on your e-bike?

It was one of the ideas from the organizators but it couldnt be done because there isnt enough space to land on the other side of the port.

would have never believed that's an official UCI track if u didn't tell me looks so non typical to what they always do, I mean urban downhill, that's a first right there, doesn't look like a particularly fun track though but challenging for sure, gonna be a real headache for the riders pushing milliseconds off their time
