Absolutely can’t stop making them, even though I have no use for them. Also made 4 stacks torn into eight pieces and mounted them on a 11x14 canvas. Awesome background ,then….used fairies from napkins. A few bunnies and decoupage pretty for little girls room. Thx so much
Nice variations. You could also make the middle strip of the Timmy paper a belly band. You know you are living right when crafty ideas keep you awake at night. Have a wonderful day!
More scrappy fun! Isn't the world a curious place - on the one hand, you have people who want to monitor your word usage (fun, so), then on the other hand, you have a wonderful tile guy who wants another hug.
These stack and whack items are such fun to make. Your pocket variations are awesome. If anyone trying to do the pockets on the stack and whack items is having trouble when backing the pock pieces, they could try using a sticky mat which would grab and hold the pocket pieces in place during the backing process. Thanks for sharing your great ideas with your UA-cam family. ❤
Gayle...you know how much I love watching and listening, but there's something incredibly special when you are having fun. Have fun, and say "fun" because it is a thing of joy to witness. You had so many great ideas. I've done a stack and whack set of tags - they are addictive. I hadn't taken it beyond that, but your video clicked my brain into gear...ideas to be tested... In a thesaurus I'm sure your name appears as a synonym for many words "creative" "inspiration" "enthusiastic" "genuine" and of course, "kind" would top the list. ❤ Belinda xxx
I thoroughly enjoyed this video today Gayle! Awesome variations. I was thinking of an up-tuck on one of them. Also I was thinking of making them hinged so they can be added to a journal page, or hinge two together with journal space on the back and sew them into a signature. I was thinking too of a belly band with a pocket, or using a larger book page to make one of your pockets to cover the white space on the back of a printed digital in the journal. Thank you for sharing. Would you mind if I did a video on my channel sharing your techniques? ❤
My mother used to quilt this design. Straight edges with black in between. Love the Gold (silver) idea for my gem journal. The victorian slowstitch (crazy patchwork) would look gorgeous in paper with your yummy leaf stitch on the bottom pocket where the joins meet. The double sided pages might get flipped completely! Oh! my so many choices :) Love you Gayle, my inspiration cup overflows thanks to your daily morsels. Bless you always Helen
sooo whackily fun!! I always enjoy my (very) early morning dose of my JJ gurus and you've always been one of them!! Finally dry greetings from Lululand! the bees were actually out and about today. I'll have to do a hive check tomorrow so no crafting xxxx Kerry
Good Morning Gayle, Happy Scrappy Saturday! Love your idea and creativity today. It’s a nice 21 degrees this morning and very icy out, good day for crafting. Have a wonderful Saturday! 👍⛄️❄️❄️❄️
Good morning, Gayle. Really love the variations on these, I was thinking about a variation on the tags, If you make the tag bases 3 x 6 you could use up a 6x6 paper pad by simply cutting the decorative papers in half. Would be great way to use up some of the 6x6 pads. Also 12x12 leftover pages by cutting them to 6x6 as well. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
I’m so excited to see your comment! At this moment I have 6 pieces of 6x6 SU DSP in my hand, trying to figure out what order to put them in and where to tear them! As usual, I’m overthinking it! I guess Gayle’s decision to not tear the middle strip was a design feature. I wonder what it would look like tearing it too? See, overthinking again! Wish me luck! 😂
I just love this idea. I have been making tags all week after watching last week's video. For some reason, it never crossed my mind to make pockets and journaling cards, too.. Maybe I was just having too much fun making the tags thst I was blocking everything else out. I now know what I will be making this week. Lol. Thank you for sharing Gayle.
One of the best scrappy Saturdays plus the bonus of a digital. Sooo much funnnnn lol. I met my contractor the exact same way and now my part of my extended family. Could not be in my home without them. He is currently redoing a bathroom for me that meet any future issues such as no lip on the shower pan. Going over to Etsy to buy me a digital. Yea ❤❤❤
Hi Gayle ! Just so you know, I have committee mind meetings in the middle of the night too. I keep a pencil & pad beside my bed to make a quick note of idea(s) so I don’t forget. Stack & Whack is fun, even in quilting.
Love your night time inspiration, Gayle. You could also do the top two pieces as a top tuck, and do the middle section as a belly band. I used the stack and whack on some card journal covers. I was doing 8 covers but I used the 5 pieces between them so some of the print underneath was visible. I just sorted out the pieces in the regular way, sort of, making sure that no piece appeared twice on any one card. Hope that made sense.
Gayle you are on a roll with these stack & whack ephemera. Love them! ❤ What a great way to use up some papers you may not like the best. Mix them all up and they look awesome. I went to a “barn sale” today. Picked up some old handwriting books and farm ledgers from the ‘60’s. Have been having fun looking at them this afternoon. Have a blessed day!
Good morning Gayle! I was walking around the other day looking for my glasses with several things in my hands - phone, punches, scissors, and after about 5 minutes of searching, I realized they were with the things I was carrying around! Talk about feeling like a goofball! I’m not going to lie and say that’s the first time! 😂😅😊
Hi Gayle!! Your creative juices were overflowing!! So many great pieces!! Awesome digitals too!! I know every once in awhile you mention a movie you have watched. My sister and I watched Queen Bee's on Netflix last night!! Such a good, good movie with Ellen Burstyn, James Caan, Ann-Margaret, Jane Curtin and Loretta Devine. Have a box of tissue's handy is all I am going to say!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)
Hi Gayle, I tore my papers in ten pieces because I wanted smaller collage results. It worked like a charm. The tags do have the same colors but in different places. I thought later about choosing ten sheets so as not to repeat, but I really like the smaller pieces.
Those stack & whack pieces are so cute. Thanks for mentioning the stable bars you are having installed. My doctor hasn't mentioned that. We have those suction ones but don't know if they will pass the test. They aren't great, & I certainly wouldn't depend on them keeping me from falling b/c they fall off occasionally, but they do help me get stablized when I'm dizzy. I'll check with Medicare. Thanks again. I do learn a lot about a lot of things from you & not just journaling!!!
Hi Gayle! I've been with out power and now I'm trying to catch up on all your videos. I won't comment on each one but I did want to say I loved the whack and stack idea and I made a bunch while the power was out but I really love these new ideas. I had also thought this is the perfect thing for people who have a hard time with collage. Thanks for all the ideas. Maybe if you write down your ideas you'll sleep better? Love you.❤❤❤❤❤
Good morning! We are cold but no snow. 19 with a wind chill of 12. I know that doesn’t sound bad to you but we just don’t get these temps for long and just chills you to the bone. Love this idea. I haven’t tried it since I’m still cleaning and packing. Love the ones with pockets, great idea. I agree my Crocs are my favorite shoes. I have the original and the leather sandal. It was the only thing I could wear when I had planters fasciitis. As long as I wear them most of the time I have no foot pain. 😊
Morning Barbara! I so agree about the crocs! I always take my doctor’s advice, but not this time. My feet feel the best in my good ‘ol crocs! I even used to have a “dressy” pair of black crocs flats when I worked! 😂❤
Omg..I made a bunch of Stack & Wack tags. Now I have to make Journal Cards with book pages. Gayle, you do know that you are the reason for us to have addictions. Oh my, it's all so fun. Thank you so much for all that you do.
Good morning Gayle! You are really going to town with this stack and whack idea, I love it! I've not made any yet, but I have some Fall journals I am working on from last year that I think this method will work well with. I think I will start out with a set of the neutral ones and go from there 🙂 I'm happy to hear about your bath remodel. We redid both of ours before my husband died. The master bath we made completely handicapped accessible. I'm so glad we did, it was much easy for him to shower and it's also easier for me. I know you will keep us posted on the progress. Maybe show us a video when it's all complete? It's 9 degrees and sunny in Indy right now. It's supposed to warm up to the 40s by mid week with rain. That will get rid of the snow we have. Well, stay warm and take care. I will see you tomorrow. Sending hugs and love your way my friend. ☺🤗❤
Good morning my dear friend, like you we remain in the deep freeze 🥶 but we haven’t had any snow for the past two days. I do so look forward to Spring. This video was so interesting and inspiring. Great ideas for sure. I know I have said this before but I enjoy all your videos. It saddens me to hear that there are people who give you a hard time. I love to hear you laugh and sharing your thoughts with us. You are so kind and loving. I love Scrappy Saturdays, you never know what you will be up to but it’s always something special and inspiring. I hope that you and Mike have a wonderful rest of your day. Take care my dear friend and I will see you in the next video tomorrow. May God bless you and your wonderful family always. Stay warm. Your friend, Cindy from a small town in Northern Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
Yay for bathroom solutions! My dad lives with us, so I guess we should get a hand rail in the shower. Loving the twists on the journal cards. I hope you have a delightful day. Love&hugs ❤
I love this idea so much ❤ I am trying it as backgrounds on greeting cards. It reminds me of old quilt pieces. ❤ I love the journaling cards! They are going to be so wonderful in all your different jounals. Congratulations on your new bathroom projects and remodel!! Thats awesome Gayle and the prevenative steps thru Medicare is actually a blessing in disquise. My grandparents had that done to their bathrooms and its prevented my grandfather who is 90 from falling and has improved his circulation. Stay warm ❤ hugs!
Love this method! It is definitely addicting! Had an idea while you were doing the double pocket to make the centerpiece a belly band. So glowing the top and the bottom and leaving the middle open for tag. Endless ideas. Thanks for sharing.😎
Happy Scrappy Saturday sis! Can’t wait to see what we are doing today in the craft room. Have a lovely day. Stay warm and safe. Have a blessed day! Love you! ❤
Oh, Stack 'n Whack is so much fun, especially with the variations, Gayle! They all look great! Thanks for mentioning the Medicare info. My hubby is on Medicare, so I will let him know what the doctor told you. I think there are temporary hand rails you can put up. I believe they are suction cupped onto the wall. Oh my gosh, Gayle, I do that, too, look around for something and I'm holding it. 😂 Another Senior Brain Bump is what I say! 😅 Hugs to you! Sue 😊❤ P.S. You could try doing a hidden paperclip on the top of the Stack n Whack card. So glue on on the torn pieces from the bottom up and then for the top two pieces make them into a hidden paperclip before gluing them down. Then, you could tuck things up onto the clip. Another idea...make your papers before you tear them two card lengths with the idea when you glue things together, you are creating a wrap around the page pocket. Those are my ideas. Also, Gayle, I highly recommend shoes from Orthofeet. They are online. I bought these slip on sneakers and they are so comfortable. They have lots of styles and all good ratings by people. They also have a 60 day try out policy, so there's really no risk to try them out.
Very FUN video Gayle. It started out funny for me…somehow my video speed play setting got changed to very fast and you sounded like a chipmunk lol. It sort of threw me for a loop 😂. I also wanted to mention that I read yesterday’s comments and it was awesome to hear about so many others that get visits from passed on loved ones. Also everyone was mentioning how special you are and how you really make everyone’s day better. I thought that was very touching! Go Gayle! ❤
So funny about the speed! That’s a new one I haven’t heard before! I bet my hands were just flying around too! 😂. Yes, the comments about visits were so wonderful to read. I felt totally uplifted after reading everyone’s experiences! ❤
Gayle! You amaze me...with knowing where your stuff is amongst you bevy of stuff is amaze balls; but then you come up with the idea of pocketed pockets! Boom! mind blown! Thanks for all you do!
So funny cause I did the glue page pockets before the tags cause that was the base I had on the table and went to town. Yes…IT’S SUPER FUN!!! Loved the pocket idea!!! Inspiration for days!! Happy Saturday!! 😁💕
Hi Gayle: Happy Saturday! When I bought my house 26 years ago, the shower hand rail was never needed - it was just there. Now, I use it. It gives me a nice feeling of safety. Boy, how things change! Love your videos, especially when you can hear the excitement in your voice! Hugs, Donna From the Jersey Shore
You always make me smile. Glad your home improvements are finally getting done. May you have nothing but Positive Vibes, Healing thoughts and may kindness overflow in your life my Sweet Friend! Mike's still in my prayers and also in the prayers leadership at church. Huge HUGS! Namesta 🐞🐞🐞
Good morning Gayle! I really like the different ink colors! Nice change (I do like the vintage photo) and that you give info on the products (glues, papers, inks etc). Now I want to run out and get some yellow, blue and purple ink!! 🏃♀️
I haven't watched till the end yet, and I haven't read all the comments but maybe when you do your stack and wack pockets you can just add the backing paper to the paper stack before you tear it and you will have the perfect fit backing for the pocket areas. On the areas that have two pieces next to each other just remove the backing paper from the stack before you tear it into the two pieces.
When you have two-sided paper, you could reverse the pieces on one or two sets and have a totally different color way. But of course, you have to flip all the pieces on the same tag, not just one or two pieces. Or you could make the tag black (or a dark color) and make the tag base larger than your papers. That way you would have a black border between all the pieces.
Gayle, you will have many comments on this video! What fun! And yes the word FUN. Thank you for sharing these great ideas. And your enthusiasm came right through my tablet!, BLESSINGS
Good morning, Gayle. Your variations for the stack n whack things are great! What about connecting the middle and bottom pieces and making a larger, deep pocket? Also, I was thinking it might be fun to try a variation of the “ stained glass” collage you did a while back. Maybe by cutting the paper you tear about 1/2” smaller than the base and making the base black card stock like you did in the past? I’m also thinking of trying some that are cut instead of torn. Just something I’ve been kicking around. Thank you for sharing your new ideas. I love your enthusiasm. You are just so fun. 💜
@@gayleagostinelli_ct thank you you have definitely sparked some inspiration I’m in the middle of setting up my craft room and can’t wait to use my space to create using so many different ideas I have gotten for yourself and many others here on YT thank you so much for sharing with us
Good morning Gayle!! Happy scrappy Saturday! Hi and hugs to you too. Thanks for the shoutout! This stack and whack technique is so fun! I did something similar a while back and then zigzagged along the tears. Turned out cool looking. Love the pocket ideas on these too. So many variations. Really neat. Thanks for sharing! Have a fabulous weekend!! 💞💕Hugs!!
Absolutely can’t stop making them, even though I have no use for them. Also made 4 stacks torn into eight pieces and mounted them on a 11x14 canvas. Awesome background ,then….used fairies from napkins. A few bunnies and decoupage pretty for little girls room. Thx so much
Sounds awesome, Diane! 👏❤
"She stacked & whacked a double"...I'm a huge fan of this sport & Gayle's my favorite player!! ❤️🖇🤗✂️❤️
Nice variations. You could also make the middle strip of the Timmy paper a belly band. You know you are living right when crafty ideas keep you awake at night. Have a wonderful day!
Great idea, Rachel! ❤

So true! Tile guy just made my day! What a sweetheart! It’s going to be nice having his energy in our house when he starts work! 😊❤
These stack and whack items are such fun to make. Your pocket variations are awesome. "Hello, welcome to the Next Level! Mrs. Agostinelli, your table is ready!" LOVE THESE! What fun, Gayle. I cannot WAIT to try the pocket idea!
All inspired by you, my friend, all inspired by you!! 🥰❤️
Love the hidden pockets. You could also make a belly band on them. So much FUN!!!! lol.
Very beautiful gorgeous stocked pockets journaling card's I ❤️ it

Thank you, Gloria! Absolutely! Be my guest! Such a fun process must be shared! 😊❤
It's FUN hanging with you Gayle.
What an awesome way to coordinate collage. I’m blown away.
All of those came out pretty! One pocket, two pockets, & maybe a tuck spot using the top two!! Love it!!
Or you could use the middle one as a belly band!!
BTW I cried my way through “A Good Person.” Good movie.🤗💖🦋
Me too! ❤
These are so fun!! You could do the middle section as a sideways belly band! That would be fun!
Your variations are so clever and fun! That is exciting about your bathroom remodels. I would bet Emily's husband will get right on the job! Hugs
Well, that was fun (she says 15 stack & whack cards later)! Thank you, Gayle. Hugs from Michigan Bev.
You crack me up Gayle, I remember that time those people just made me mad! Love ya Gayle

I believe they are suction cupped onto the wall. Oh my gosh, Gayle, I do that, too, look around for something and I'm holding it. 😂 Another Senior Brain Bump is what I say! 😅 Hugs to you! Sue 😊❤
Great unique ideas, Sue! ❤
I am really excited to try out your ideas! I made a bunch of tags the other day. These are addicting! 😂❤
Tons of fun to be had! We sure can tell you're having fun!😄👍❤️❤️❤️

That was so much fun to watch. I could watch all day but you know , there are things I have to do! ❤
Great ideas, great pieces! I love how excited you are! ❤

Love these stack and whack. Thank you for sharing.
Good morning Gayle! I really like the different ink colors! Nice change (I do like the vintage photo) and that you give info on the products (glues, papers, inks etc). Now I want to run out and get some yellow, blue and purple ink!! 🏃♀️
Morning Vicki! ❤
Cool. I used envelopes to glu on and made a envelopebook.😊
The stack and whack was so much fun last week. Love the neutrals
Gayle, you will have many comments on this video! What fun! And yes the word FUN. Thank you for sharing these
great ideas. And your enthusiasm came right through my tablet!, BLESSINGS
Thank you, friend! ❤
I love them
Oopsie, I forgot to say hi this morning 😙 these are magnificent ❤❤❤
Hi Sue! ❤
Oh yeah ! the stained glass idea sounds beautiful I wonder if there’s even a way to use velum and make it see through ?
@@just4craftsngiggles454 that would be awesome.
Morning Barbara! Great ideas, my friend! ❤

💞💕Hugs!!
