Bri, you made the right call. When in doubt protect yourself and your kids.
I’m proud of you Bri. I would have walked on air to flee the area. I’m so terrified. I know snakes are good just stay out of my way.
I’m proud of you Bri ❤ anything that looks like a copperhead! Yeah, “I’m not waiting to find out”😮
Momma Bears rock😊
Bri, I’m proud of you! I have a friend who died in the woods alone from a snake bite that couldn’t receive help! I can’t imagine one of your children or you getting bitten. There are plenty of snakes in the world! ❤ you did the safe thing you knew what to do!!!!!
I'm very proud of you Bri! I remember when you all found the snake pit. No way José. You did good
Congratulations Bri!!! You have overcome your fear of snakes enough to safely deal with them. On killing a possibly poisonous snake- you did the right thing! Especially with children near. Safety first. I love your All Family work days and fun days videos. God bless!
It's actually illigal to kill nonvenomous snakes. Snakes are a very important part of our eco system. Also, most snake bites happen when humans attempt to kill them. They are only defending themselves when humans give them no choice but to strike.
This is a forever home for you and Bri. Children grow and make their own homes and memories. What a wonderful foundation for them all to have and build family and memories. ❤
I agree 100%! Your farm is a place you and Bri can grow old together on. With technology the way that it is, kids can keep in touch wherever they are and wherever they go. I love your farm too.
I lived in a western state for 5 years and loved the countryside, hated the cold, had a child, got divorced and decided to move back east where my family lived. I knew it was the best thing for everyone since my ex had already moved 3 states away. Even knowing that, I bemoaned my decision and didn’t appreciate what I had here. Another 20 years and my parents have passed away and sibling no longer lives nearby. But my daughter and her family are here and as long as they are nearby, I am grateful and happy. Your oldest children won’t be in junior or high school for much longer and by the time the farm and house is in any condition for the entire family to live in comfortably, they may be in college, married or working and out on their own. If you and Bri decide to stay in the big house, stay with a cheerful heart and mind because if you have resentment or anger about “your sacrifice for everyone else’s happiness”, those feelings will be like a cancer eating at your relationship with all those you think are the source of having to make that “sacrifice/decision” and everyone will be unhappy. Pray first, last and always while being willing to wait for his leading and go (or stay) where he shows you. 🙏🙏🙏
Art, tysm for the propane info, you're a GENIUS!!!! I knew something was off but for the life of me, my overworked mom/grandma brain wasn't smart enough to figure it out. This is just awesome. Seriously, thank you. 💗 God bless you all always. ~Lisa
The happiness of your children and even yourselves is So much more evident when you all are at the farm, or seems to be. Your boys running through the fields and into the woods and the twins playing creek side and everyone working together to accomplish tasks. I don't know how you guys are even able to leave the farm to go back into the city, it's like leaving a safe refuge. If it were me I think I'd make the choice based on the younger kids. They have a longer time to be at home. I grew up in a family that moved several times, and I left friends behind each time, but they weren't lost to me. When we Finally got settled, some of those friends got to come stay with me during holidays or summertime. Decades later I am Still friends with most of the friends I moved away from. Don't beat yourself up Bri. I'd probably have killed that snake too. I don't kill every snake but that one did resemble a copperhead. If it had been a Copperhead, the process of trying to figure that out could have gotten you bit.
I really pray you keep the farm... it's such a blessing 🙌 ❤
So cute to see giant cows jumping around and kicking their heels up!!! They are definitely excited about the grass!! 🥰
I love to see your family back at the farm. I believe it would do you all a world of good to move back there. Kids need the country life .
so nice to see everyone at the farm again.
I'm on Bris' side on the snake. Even if it wasn't a threat, if I had let it go, my kids would keep bringing it up and be too afraid to play in the yard. Not that snakes are bad, but you know how needy the little ones can be!
When my eldest child was 3 I was bite by a rattlesnake spent a week in hospital did re hab at swimming pool in cold water learned to walk. Better safe than sorry .
So happy to see you and family at the farm again! Family seems so happy. I have been watching you all for years and so happy what the Father has done!! Grandmother in North Carolina
When comes to snakes best to err on side when you have young kids, always amazed at Arthur's knowledge of plants and how well he explains to the kids
Good job Bri. Better safe than sorry. Mom protects her children!
Whatever company is watching this beautiful miracle family please sponsor them some strong garden gloves! They are taking care of our earth. And the babies need boots for safety too, 🙏 please. They are teaching children how to take care of land and be self sufficient. I’m so happy for them!!!!!!
Or how about the two able bodied adults buy boots and gloves for their kids to protect them?
Woohoo! Glad to see y'all again. Great job at the farm, fam!
And may I add, I am so proud of you Bri! I recall a video wayyy at the beginning of your channel, y'all went berry picking in the mountains and you almost lost your moxie bc you saw a snake. Look at how far youve grown, giant killer! 🙌
I’d love to hear more insight from Bri. I so connected with her when she was doing the vlogs alone. I miss hearing from her.
Totally agree. Bri I prefer your content these days. I love seeing how you raise your children and all of what you are doing in your yard. Your gardens are wonderful and inspiring for those of us that don’t live on the land. Well done Bri you are an inspiration to the strong woman in society today God Bless .
I love your kids and the farm. I know mom and dad your hearts are full working together to fix the farm up. Hang onto that land Bri and Art, whatever it takes. Loved the happy cows too! God bless!
Bri made the right call in the moment. She thought it was a copperhead and has the same markings. Better for the kids to be upset it's gone than upset she got bit and has lasting effects. And yes, I'm proud of her that she didn't panic, scream and run.
Everyone needs their space and privacy. I just don't see HOW you all can go back to living in that camper again. :( If you could just take one room at a time and work on that in the farmhouse that would be awesome. :) One bedroom and then another until you get ea. room done so it wont be soooo overwhelming. I know friends of mine that works with carpenters that always have left over items when done on reinvating a home or building one. That would be a good resource to get things for free even if it is small. One and two makes 3 and before long you got one room done. I've seen doors go for 25 ea. on Facebook marketplace a whole bunch. Toilets, same and insulation cheap on there as well. Pallets in most places are free and that would be sooooo cool on a farmhouse wall or ceiling. I would LOVE to see Bris dream come true on that house.
All the Best to All of you as you navigate through this process.
Why did I not think of this or why did my husband not think of this 🤔 I will definitely be refilling my propane tank instead of switching them out from now on
Great progress Bri. You protected your kids ❤
Bri, it's clear to see the farm is your happy place.
Love the homestead days!
Take a leap of faith for the family ❤ I am praying for you all, and peace to all. Love you all ❤
Soooo proud of you sweet lady!! Warrior mama!! So happy watching you all slowly reclaim your life at the farm ❤
so nice to see kids enjoying the land and learning so much
Now at this point maybe now you can truly rebuild the house that love made we miss y'all being at the farm and you all know that is where your heart is truly at I think I have been watching you for many many years I don't even know how long but everyone seems to be truly happy there❤
FYI. Most Tractor Supply stores fill propane tanks. Most. Not all. Call first.
I'm proud of you Bri for overcoming your fear and protecting your family. This is why I don't like gardening, and because I am deathly afraid of spiders.
You're farm place is so wonderfull..You're kids looks so happy being their...
It’s lovely to see the family all back on the farm again. I can see that you are in a hard place of deciding which children need their desires fulfilled the most. So many things to think about and it’s hard to choose what to do. It won’t be very long before Grace and Joyful will be able to drive themselves where they want to go and a little longer when they will be out on their own. I know it feels like that’s a long time in the future, but you’ll blink and it will be here.
Arthur, you have worked and are still working on your mental health and changing your behavior, and I’m proud of you for that. The mountains and river feed your spirit, which is awesome. I could be wrong, but it feels to me that there is a spiritual devotion that may need more time and attention, lots of habitual time spent in reading the Bible and in prayer. That will do more for you and your family than either of the other things. I am saying this out of love and experience. I want so much to see you all well and thriving together, and to get there, the house must be built on the rock.
Amen✝️
❤this is well said. Takes time to heal. Take the time,
It's so beautiful there!
You are blessed in so many ways.
Your farm is in a gorgeous area! I understand why it tugs at your heart to be there! Have y’all thought of demolishing the house and putting a pre-fab home there? They are really beautiful homes too. Blessings from Texas!
My thoughts exactly!!
I found a area where Jerusalam Artichokes / Sunchokes grew naturally. You betcha I transplanted the tubers in my garden. they are comming up this year and I am so excited to have them and be able to harvest them and try them for the first time.
😢 my seeds did not grow. They are hard to sprout from seed.
I’m terrified of snakes and I’m
70 and yes I killed a snake last week. My neighbors were terrified and I had to do what I had to do!! But, even with snakes I think the mountain property is the BEST place ever!!’ Cows are beautiful as well..,❤
As a parent that has a kid from 16 going on 17 to 7 years old.. if the older ones desire more City Life per se and the younger ones want to live out in the country consider the time they are going to be staying there in your home still. The 17 year old may move out in a few years were the seven year old is going to be spinning 10 plus more years. Hopefully that helps some❤
I love the farm and seeing you all their. I hope you don't sell it. The kids look so happy their. Proud of you Bri!!
I ordered myself a pair of Hisea boots last year and I love them. They are so comfortable.
I too was petrified of snakes and I didn’t care what kind they were. Our middle son invited me to join a snake page on Facebook for Oklahoma snakes and I have learned so much and can now identify most of them. Our neighbor texted me the other night to send my husband to kill a snake. I went with him and told her it was a rat snake and it was looking for food and to let it live. She said her dog had been chasing mice in her backyard. That is why the snake was in her yard.
I'm proud of you, Bri!❤😅
So glad the cows got to get out of the barn!!!!!
You guys should be proud of your family. Your children truly understand hard work, and a difference between it and play! They are clearly comfortable with both as well as expressing love for their family and the life around them in the outdoors.
The decision that is in front of both art and Bre with regards to, returning to the farm or not is not going to be an easy decision, and I couldn’t begin to express my thought and I would not because I think too many people won’t think about that may or may not affect you and it really needs to be your decision and the family decision. God bless you both and you the most heavily in your heart and mind. I truly enjoyed this video. I grew up in a family with 12 children and we bought 100-year-old house when I was 10 and it took this kind of hard work at restoring the land and the home and the barn etc.. Eventually, we built a new house but it took a good 6 to 8 years to complete and then probably four more before it was torn down. Meaning the old original house. I will pray for you guys and I do truly wish you the bestand I’ll be praying for your prayers to be heard by God and help you to find solution and peace of mind and make this decision. Love you guys.
Brianna, I'd love a UPDATE on your fig tree by the barn! Last summer I got a D'elena fig in a pot and it is THRIVING, and even though it is only about 3 ft tall, it is loaded with baby figs that should be harvested in September! So excited!!!
So nice to see Arthur teaching the kids about nature. He is so knowledgeable and patient. In his element!
Enjoyed seeing all of you at the farm today. You both have a big decision to make regarding where your family will come together again in a loving home. I am also afraid of snakes and freak out.
I am proud of Bri for overcoming her snake fear . . . of course. We love you, Bri!
Fantastic progress at the farm! Thanks for sharing your family times, working & playing together. I pray that a fitting solution comes for your whole family to be happily living together. The older ones will be on their own before you know it & will be free to move where they feel they want to be. I have had to make similar decisions & the children were resilient enough to get through (difficult to know in the present). Blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦
I've never seen a nest like that either Arthur
I get my propane filled at Tractor Supply for $13, beats the replacement tank price.
So proud of you Bri.. I too would have been walking on air.. I'm terrified of snakes!
Yep, You did the right thing. Be proud! Waiting to find out that you were right and having it bite someone would be devastating. Way to go momma!
I learned all about propane and propane tanks when I moved to appalachia. I was scared of it at first, and then now after 4 yrs, I have propane delievered. I got tired of hauling propane in the winter. 100# tanks are no joke when you are reaching 50. the prices during the last 2 yrs have raised and lowered a lil bit. but its about 2.99 a gal. having it delievered adds a delevery cost and rental of the tanks every year. But, when you look at gasoline prices and parts for cars. paying to have 120 gal delivered that will last about 3 weeks in hard winter temps is worth it.
Proud of you Bri! You are an amazing young lady considering all the obstacles you have faced and overcome. So proud of you!! I wish the best for you and your husband and your beautiful children. ❤
Woww❤❤❤ art n bri ❤❤❤❤ your family being in unity in the farm, ❤❤❤ each and everyone, ur Twins growing fast too quick.
Art being with the boys ❤❤❤❤. Art, is a man back in his two feet in heart n mind❤❤❤❤
Art n bri God is ❤️ 😍 💖 💖
You should all wear wide brim hats, to prevent ticks from biting you. Also if you can find a cold weather eucalyptus tree it will repel mosquitoes and ticks. Also Lavender, Rosemary, Lemongreass, mint, Sage, Thyme, Chamomile, Basil Oregano Wormwood, pennyroyal, geranium, rue, Garlic, marrigolds and chrysanthemums.
I'm proud of you Bri!!!
I’m proud of you Bri , I know I would have run and never gone back to that garden… probably never… terrified of snakes
I’m very proud of you! I would never be that brave!
Oh Brie, my heart jumped watching this. I've always had a fear of snakes! I moved to Sparta, NC in June 2013. Living here in the mountains of NC I'm always looking EVERYWHERE as I walk around the property! Every time I see a snake, if my son isn't home, I call my friend to come take care of it! I'm so proud of you🤗
I hope you guys hang on to that farm… life is long and this season will come and go.. just keep moving forward.. this is where God has you guys for a reason.. life is a journey and that place is so beautiful! Don’t lose hope. Is it electric ⚡️ or insulation next? Little by little you guys are raising kids first and foremost. They are growing up fast!!
I am Proud of you, Bri!! ❤❤❤
I am proud of her. She did good.
Hasn’t it been five years or more since the mold issue? I know it was before Covid. I kinda feel that If the house hasn’t been fixed by now it won’t be.
Propane tanks do have an expiry date on them so no one will refill them past that date. Just be aware of the date before they expire and a lot of places will just take in your close to expired tank and give you a new tank.
I’m proud of you Bri!
Looks like another great day on the homestead 😊
I love your farm and your videos. I've been watching you from the beginning.
I am so proud of you Bri! I wish I were as brave as you!!!
It’s so funny that you’re talking about the propane tanks. My husband just explained this to me. He said he will do an exchange for tanks when he needs to buy a new one and then he won’t go back there to refill it. They do a little bit on the gas. They don’t fill the tank completely. But it is a great deal if you need a new tank.
The county road department in Alabama will put up “Slow Children at play” signs if you just call. You might ask your county about that.
Bri, at least twice a summer I remove and return the rocks around my plants so they don't get buried.
I am glad you folllowed mine and, probaly others suggestions to choose the farm. I think that it will give the both of you much healing.
And live with 9 people in a small camper?? Have u lived in a camper cause I tried and it was a HUGE camper with just 3 of us
@@carolynfulton4060 I know. They could work on the house again before they move.
Bri, I would’ve done the same. 🙌🏽 Art, I could sense your emotion. It made me say a prayer for direction for you and your family. 😔🙏🏼❤️ Love your boots! I may check that brand out. 😊
You can buy signs at the hardware store on steaks that you could put in the grass. I don't think those are going to last long
I hope you find q different solution to improve the barn door by next winter...the idea of screwing the door shut means any emergency you loose your cows..an easy fix would be to have a slip rail on outside of the door.
I love the farm videos. Wonderful to watch your family together.
Proud of you Bri, great job protecting yourself and the kids.
So nice to have videos back at the farm!
Proud of you Bri!
Bri, you were so brave! I'm super impressed!
Bree I'm so proud of you!!! ❤
Proud of you both! 🙏
Definitely proud!! ❤️
Great job Bri
I’m proud of you as a Mother. You did the right thing Lots of snake around Deal how you deal Big hugs coming from Dartmouth Nova Scotia Canada 🇨🇦. Lu and your family
Proud of Bri
I wept watching this, you are so blessed with such a beautiful place.
Bri I totally get it! We are nature lovers as well but sometimes you just need to be able to sleep at night and you would probably be thinking about the what if it was a poisonous one that you let go.
The propane company that supplies the homestead tanks in our area also have a refill pump for the small propane tanks. They have to be the one's to refill them but it was sooooo much cheaper to have done. We will definitely be using this option instead of the exchange option from now on.
I love your family being at the farm, the kids are relaxed and more themselves, as are you & Bri. Lots to pray about for sure.
Proud of you!!
SO PROUD!! from Australia
“Our” Arthur is back 🤲
I exchange tanks when the tank is getting close to its inspection date or something looks off. Part of their fee is inspection. For refills I go to an Amish hardware store for propane. I use 100 pounds a year for cooking and the cost is $50-60. Refilling is a lot cheaper.
Thank you 😊
