Exactly. What self respecting person wants to appear like this. I'm completely embarrassed for most of the girls on this show. All they care about about are their body parts, being sexy and impressing the boys. Their personalities, on the whole, are peanut sized, like their brains, and they are utterly boring. They are appallingly uneducated and very know-nothing ignorant but the most saddest of all, they are mostly low self-esteemed talentless neurotics who dress inappropriately and behave inappropriately and have millions of fans because of it. This really is a show for low life, in a country full of low life it is very popular.

Arosha R The chick got a taste of her own medicine. She said she dates white boys, but they all rejected her. If all the male contestants were black, she would have rejected them.
People who are saying it’s not because she’s black and it’s just a preference are silly because if Dani , original Laura & Ellie can get picked who aren’t the slightest bit attractive then so can Samira who’s actually cute 🤷♀️
Yeah but later on in the shows she said she loved frankies dark hair and dark eyes. no one mentions that. Everyone on love island does that. its a flirting tactic.
Samira was very clever and she has come out looking good. They should have got white men who are interested in black women, because they are lots out there. However I wish her the best, she is very happy and wish her every success.
This is really disappointing and such a shame. Like I totally completely 100% can understand why she’s skirting every question and I HOPE to the heavens that it’s because she’s under some sort of “can’t chat shit” about the show contract, BUT it’s so sad to think she doesn’t even try, believe and/or even know she can get fame and respect on OTHER diverse and progressive platforms so she silences herself and her experience to “fit in” and better navigate the white experience of the world. This interviewer is brilliant as well. The questions she’s asking are sooo super light and tbh have the right amount of depth for this type of discussion and Sam still didn’t even give an inch when she damn right could have given a mile... She is absolutely beautiful and went on a reality show let’s b honest all about vanity and looks and STILL no one wanted her. Hmmmmmmn but it ain’t about race right?? 🧐🧐🧐🧐... Dark skinned black women face such an insidious type of prejudice and people need to STOP denying it’s happening.
Maybe she just doesn't play the race card like you want her to? Maybe she likes to earn what she gets? Maybe she doesn't see what you see because she didn't experience racism like you wanted her to have to further your narrative? She was in the West End, the highest level of performing arts her. HOW IS SHE IN ANY WAY HELD BACK BECAUSE OF HER RACE? Take responsibility for your life and stop blaming everything on 'racism'. She said she was not involved in drama which is a key part of love island, so why would she get air time? Maybe no-one wanted her because they didn't like her personality in a romantic way? She was loud and not very romantic in how she spoke, although she seems like a nice person, I wouldn't have picked her simply because she kept using words like 'cutsie' repeatedly in the same sentence. I also wouldn't have picked Laura for being overly serious, Georgia for being overly loud, Megan because she seemed quite false. Wes, Josh, Idirs and Kaz all had a lot of air time, none of them are white. Find a real problem and fight that.
I mean her type is blonde hair blue eyes so she'd have truned down black men. So if you want to say white people not choosing her is racist lol then she's racist against blacks
LivingAsTasha Why are people surprised when European Beauty is the standard in EUROPE? Also why do all the European countries need to be diverse? Can you please explain because to me it comes off as whiny and weak.
It's unrealistic to show a representation of beauty being european when it isnt representative of the society you live in. I'm black british, the Black British population is a very large significant demographic of people in this country (especially London where i am from) making up millions of people dating back to the 1950s - since then we've especially when we've had a significant impact on culture, fashion, food, music, etc. So why should we not be represented when it comes to beauty and have a seat at the table? It's not whiny or weak it's a valid argument - you can use and appreciate afrobeat influences in todays top music in the charts and love eating jerk chicken and curry, party at Notting Hill carnival as its regarded as a cultural event in London but it comes across as whiny and weak when we're questioning why we arent represented in beauty like everyone else when when we're just as much part of society and culture?
LivingAsTasha "it isn't representative of the society you live in" what?! NATIVE Brits are white how is that not representative to British society? Also last time I checked Greece was the influence of European culture, it's like me going to Africa and complaining there's no white people on billboards, no shit because I'm in Africa, similarly if a African goes to EUROPE (and Europeans are white) and complains that the Beauty standard is EUROPEAN how is that not whiny again? Also most people are attracted to their own race.
The interviewer is doing literally what samira doesnt want. She said she thinks its nog about race, that she doesnt want anyone to think the boys didnt like her because she is black, she just wasnt their type. But the interviewer keeps pushing the race thing making her insecure and think maybe it was because i am black?
Kat B I definitely hear what you're saying, this is the first time that I've followed Love Island but anytime that I've seen shows like these it's usually the black girls who are picked last. Personally Samira would be in my top 5 of all the Love Island girls but we both know that many societies in general don't see dark skinned girls as beautiful. I'm glad that Samira has remained confident in herself throughout all of this because not every woc would have.
I would also like to add that all the islanders will be under strict contracts and Samira can't just go around talking about racism and love island unless she wants to get done for defamation and ruin her post love island career. Maybe in like 3 years she'll let us know how she really feels.
mikeskybrowser But it's a proven fact that dark skinned women aren't as attractive as other women. The most attractive is not even white it's mixed. So don't come at me calling racism when all I'm doing is speaking facts.
I think deep deep down she knows but is choosing to be "politically correct" in order not to come off as "a bitter black woman" because if she goes down that route people are just going to accuse her of using the "race card" when you and I know its not the case
Thing I loved about samira the most was how balanced and Intelligent she is. I feel like she would be a great friend to have. And of course she is beautiful xx
She was one of the few natural beautys in Love island. She also had the personality. It was pretty obvious that most of the guys was not attracted to her because she was black period. And Im just not sure about frankie...he said he really liked megan to her. A man wouldnt tell another women how much he is attracted to your friend if he was interested in you.So I feel like frankie went with her because there was noone else.
samira is stunning!! if i was an OG boy i would have defo picked her!! i think the guys just have a basic taste, the girls they are/were attractive but a bit meek looking in my opinion like most of them looked exactly the same to me i could barely tell them apart most of the time lol
I don't get how people complain about there not being enough diversity. Samira, Kaz, Josh and Wes are all people of colour aren't they and a lot of the people on the show are very different.
Because diversity of background or thought isn't enough, it has to be a black person or it's not diverse. These people wouldn't classify Kaz, Josh or Wes as diverse because they aren't the darkest possible shade of black.
People also ignored Idris because he was a black male. People that scream about diversity only want certain cherry picked types of people that they want included, so they've made Samira the poster child for it. The closest Asian representation, for example, was two biracial/mixed girls, but they're constantly glossed over because they're seen as white passing. Samira, Wes, Josh, Kaz, Josh 2, Iris, Stephanie, Jordan and Niall are all from minority backgrounds, with most of them coming from a black minority background. That's almost 1/4 of the contestants in this year's show. For a country that is still ~80% white overall, that's pretty good numbers for ethnic minorities and the black/mixed guys were arguably the most popular on the show. In terms of racial diversity, it's probably South Asians that had the least (zero) representation, even from mixed backgrounds, but you don't see many of them kicking off since they aren't the pet project of white liberals. The only real lack of diversity in this year's series was having fat, anorexic or disabled people. But shows like Love Island aren't supposed to be entirely representative. It's a show where mongs want 15 mins of fame go to.
hurrhurrmurr Idris was an arrogant tool as well. The show has not requirement to be diverse. Why should a British TV show go out of its way to show south Asians? It’s nothing to do with discrimination, just a minority of idiots complaining about social justice. As for body types, the majority of the contestants were healthy, that’s hard for some people to digest but obesity isn’t healthy, neither is anorexia. Normalising and promoting unhealthy body types is dangerous because people then justify their disease (obesity, anorexia) by saying it’s “natural”. Unfortunately, facts don’t care about feelings and the facts show that obesity is the second biggest cause of cancer. Each of the contestants spent time in the gym working out which should be praised and promoted to help the youth also get into healthy habits. As for disabilities, be realistic, if you have models next to someone with facial deformities, we all know who people would pick. I agree that there may not a lot of representation for the disabled, but sexual attraction is natural, so contestants who would then not pick the disabled contestants simply out of preference, and I can bet my life 90% wouldn’t pick the disabled contestants which would then result in them being kicked out so it would essentially be pointless.
So many double standards in this video. Samira states (after so many questions) that she didn't think there was a racist agenda behind her portrayal on the show, yet the questioner keeps coming back with yet another variation of basally the same question. But, why was the interviewer so interested anyway? Is it, because she's black?
Samira is beautiful. And even more of a beautiful personality. She needs a German Hunk in her life. In fact if this was in Germany she would of been snatched up. German men are not as superficial on average.
@@cookiek7567 oh Ok. There are some guys of course who only want their blonde beauties, or Brunnetes. As with any people they are used to something AMD stick with it. But they care less about her race, or wealth. I mean there are a few racist. But German men like IR as do German women. A lot of German guys date black women. Only problem is lots Of German men drink, and many smoke casual.
Anyway she did find someone so why you all complaining you can't blame people for not being attracted to her everyone has their own idea of beauty. You only see an hour everyday they are in there for 24 hours things happen that you don't see mabey the boys didn't like her personality and that ok you can force people to like someone.
I'm so happy that the presenter Jazmin read Sam because Sam needs to be aware that she is 1) Black 2) being discriminated against and racially abused and targeted. Sad to see that Sam isn't aware/woke on certain Black issues but hopefully she'll be able to learn from this experience.
I honestly feel sick. I feel sick that so many people immediately assume everything is a race issue. It's not. And I honestly think it's a depressing life if every situation for you that involves white people turns hostile. Maybe they didn't like Samira's personality huh? I didn't even like her not because she is black, just because I didn't like her. Like many of the Islanders. The reason there weren't more black people was because black people ARE A MINORITY. Just like east Asians, latinos, Arabs etc. Tbh I wish there was more representation of other races than just white and black but no. Shows nowadays honestly are FORCED to make everything diverse and even then, it's not enough. I'm Latino and Korean. Being Spanish, Italian and Korean. So don't come at me with your bullshit. I've experienced exclusion due to my accent, skin tone etc. But I'm not an idiot. I'm realistic.
I only watched the show because I saw she just up and left for love and I wanted to know why! So I started watching from the beginning up until that part and I thought it was this Romeo and Juliet type of love but Frankie didn’t even pick her .. and she had such a hard time in there it made me sad.. they legit helped Alex go on a date every single time and she was left in the background it was horrible. Then when she finally ‘found love’ aka being his last resort. They didn’t even air that! I don’t want to see people of color on the show if they’re bluntly going to be mistreated like that she was literally there to be that “girlfriend” and moral support. They didn’t even show her and Frankie’s hideaway experience or the fact that Dani said she was her best friend in the villa -.- and Dani and jack won so.. obviously she should’ve gotten more air time at least with Dani so we can see how they became best friends.
I really enjoyed Samira on the show. I hate that race became an issue for her as a black woman on the show, especially since it didn't become a point of discussion for the other five men that were on the same season.
Tbf i do not think that people did not couple up with her because she is black. I think it because she has stronger legs than most of the females in there. And she does not have most of the materialistic things men look for in a woman like a fat ass and big breast. Why do you think 90% of the men were drooling over megan. Even though she in 99% plastic.
In terms of diversity representation, 2% of the UK population is black. Therefore black people are accurately represented in the roughly 50 islanders. Then there's the mixed guys have also been ever present throughout the whole episode, idk the exact numbers but I would suspect they are over represented and therefore people of colour are also over represented as a whole compared to UK population. Only valid argument is that potentially the people who actually watch the show may be a higher portion of black people for example... Just my thoughts
Benjamin Koudougou been waiting for someone to make this point.. thank you. Everyone making out the show is discriminatory when actually it OVER represents black people in accordance with the UK population. Don’t hear Eastern Europeans kicking off when they aren’t represented on the show for instance.
No one was really complaining about the number of black people on the show this year people were complaining about the lack of people sent in who put black people as one of their preferences. Unless you're suggesting a black person should only go for a black person but they shouldn't send more in to keep true to "representation"? over 140,000 applicants and not one was put in there to start up a storyline for Samira yet 4 blonde haired blue eyed girls were sent in with an interest in Alex, it gets frustrating watching a pretty girl get passed over time and time again
Fed up personally I have heard it being complained about, also the interviewer said only black girl in the villa typa thing. In terms of people who like her I'd like to think it's nothing to do with race and maybe her personality? Some people did try it with her but she did seem picky and Frankie liked her in the end. If it's societies perceptions on black people then it's not love islands fault
Black girls typically wrap up and cover their hair at night with a silk/satin scarf to prevent the hairdo from becoming messy and tangly or to prevent shedding of natural hair
I thought diversity meant showing a great deal of variety? We had a stationary salesman, actresses, models, a barmaid, personal trainers, a doctors and many other diverse jobs. Then we had the daughter of an actor, someone born into wealth, people with an average background and so on which are diverse backgrounds. Then we had black, white, asian and mixed races which is diverse. OHhhhh wait, I forgot diverse now means the entire show has to feature only black women who are feminists or it's racist and sexist.
nope, racailly diverse would not have just included a few mixed people, actually needs to have black/indian/pakistani/chinese/philpipino/middle eastern folks and no one cares, just bang in a few mixed race, and boom its "diverse" lol...such a joke. its a white show...that how it comes across, most asians don't care, its only black girls who love white men who angry
she is gorgeous! i do not watch the show but if there was black men on the show she would have got picked those white boys on the show was never going to choose her over becky or sarah any way its their loss
There was a black man, and three black-white mixed race guys, who all went for white girls and one mixed girl. Samira was also picked by a white guy in the end. For whatever reason, there aren't any scathing attacks against the guys for dating out, though.
PC police must have had her at gunpoint. there is no way in hell that her friends did not warn her before going on the show or did not speak to her after the show about what they had watched and how the people, Twitter and social media blew up about diversity and being the only black woman. for her to answer the question as if to say everyone in that house was just beautiful and not focus on the fact that she was black and they just not in to that. I hope to god that's her being honest and if so I am happy to be ignorant towards that situation
samira doing everything she can not to let the interviewer politicise her love island experience 😂

Alls X Yeah but there aren't any rules about who "should" and "shouldn't" date who.
Black To Grace Let us agree to disagree.
Valerie who the hell like black women lol seriously wash urself
@@NhanNguyen-dz3sx just say you hate black women and go
The interviewer did a good job asking all the questions people posed on Twitter.
I could see her being a radio presenter cos she's got a rlly nice voice
Sorry but she is just a GODDESSS I CANT DEAL WITH HER BEAUTY
samira is lost and in denial
missy how ?
missy
Nah not really. She knows exactly what she's doing. She's playing the game to keep her money coming in. I respect it.
Warren London very good point
I agree with Samira! If you want to go on the show, go!
The Life of Ebun it’s not that easy let’s not forget institutional racism b
Foreal
i miss samira :(
This is really disappointing and such a shame.
Their loss seriously. She’s stunning and sooo beautiful
love this - its nice to see some more diversity in the womens magazine industry as a fellow journo with their content, im gonna subscribe!
Evelien van Alphen it's because she's black. Come on, she was the only black girl in there! There wasn't enough diversity.
mikeskybrowser But it's a proven fact that dark skinned women aren't as attractive as other women. The most attractive is not even white it's mixed. So don't come at me calling racism when all I'm doing is speaking facts.
Kat B facts
Aw she looks so buff ,Frankie better look after her
Wilful ignorance and denial.
I think deep deep down she knows but is choosing to be "politically correct" in order not to come off as "a bitter black woman" because if she goes down that route people are just going to accuse her of using the "race card" when you and I know its not the case
one south asian person in the villa, and they left early, diversity in Love Island is shocking.
Nafiul Shelim yh
thye only care about black people
This video was needed!
When she left, most of the others in the villa cried... So much.... tells u so much of her impact there on others.
I LOVE SAMIRA SO MUCH. MY ABSOLUTE FAV, I REALLY REALLY HOPE SHE FINDS HAPPINESS
She wasn't the only woman of colour, as Kaz was there. She was the only BLACK woman, say what you mean with your chest please.
this has made me love samira oso much more which i didn’t know was possible! xx
what are samira’s outfit details ???
ki ki i wanna know too
It’s all from topshop
One of the realist contestants I’ve ever seen. And such a real interview it wasn’t corny or forced 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Honestly she is unbelievable beautiful
Thing I loved about samira the most was how balanced and Intelligent she is. I feel like she would be a great friend to have. And of course she is beautiful xx
She might be contractually unable to talk shit about the show?
Or she isn't trying to play the victim or scream oppression where there is none?
The shows producer knew what they were doing when they made her the only black girl
Samira and Kaz were the only girls of colour on love island, so happy to see SOME representatives of the Black and Asian community aghhh
Stephanie is half Malaysian-Chinese, half-English. So, there were three.
hurrhurrmurr forgot about her oops but yh THREE
that doesnt count, because white men prefer chinese women naturally anyways
i dont think an indian will ever be on this show...can just tell
Henry Fung what do you mean that doesn’t count? She’s asian, she counts.
Millwaterj Well they also added Idris who is one of he darkest possible shades. The whole diversity thing is bullshit.
It's a show where mongs want 15 mins of fame go to.
hurrhurrmurr
Idris was an arrogant tool as well.
It’s not a diversity issue it’s the fact that they purposely only get people that prefer shire people only
i’m so happy kaz and samira were on show
Does anyone know where she got that "girls" jumper from? I love it
What about kaz tho she is of colour isn't she?
Yes and she was chosen by Josh who is of colour
Who was good friends with Wes who is of colour. Who was also friends with Alex who was with Alexandra who was pursued by Idris who is of colour...
So many double standards in this video. Samira states (after so many questions) that she didn't think there was a racist agenda behind her portrayal on the show, yet the questioner keeps coming back with yet another variation of basally the same question. But, why was the interviewer so interested anyway? Is it, because she's black?
Props to her for being smart enough not to pull the race card, even though the host was baiting her to do it.
Samira is beautiful. And even more of a beautiful personality. She needs a German Hunk in her life. In fact if this was in Germany she would of been snatched up. German men are not as superficial on average.
Reinhard Heydrich Wow, I guess everyone should move to Germany!
@@cookiek7567 what do you mean by that.
Reinhard Heydrich Since apparently they aren’t superficial, everyone should just go there and find love.
Only problem is lots Of German men drink, and many smoke casual.
we all know why the boys didnt pick her
Because she is ....very... white...not
Anyway she did find someone so why you all complaining you can't blame people for not being attracted to her everyone has their own idea of beauty.
She's treading carefully. Her career could be over in a second if she's too controversial at this stage.
omg she's a delight wtf. she's actually pretty amazing
Possibly in love with samira
Anyone know where Samira's jacket is from?
She looks more and more gorgeous every time I see her!
Favourite girl in the villa 💯‼️
Where is this jacket from?
She is so beautiful
I really enjoyed Samira on the show. I hate that race became an issue for her as a black woman on the show, especially since it didn't become a point of discussion for the other five men that were on the same season.
Tbf i do not think that people did not couple up with her because she is black. I think it because she has stronger legs than most of the females in there. And she does not have most of the materialistic things men look for in a woman like a fat ass and big breast. Why do you think 90% of the men were drooling over megan. Even though she in 99% plastic.
Samira is so beautiful! Woah
Tech x haha maybe one day
Looove love u samira...soo amzing and fun to watch on the show. You did gr8 girl..hair on fleek 24/7 too.
Samira is just so so beautiful!
100% agree
2% lmao. Are you using figures from the 1970s?
Fed up personally I have heard it being complained about, also the interviewer said only black girl in the villa typa thing. In terms of people who like her I'd like to think it's nothing to do with race and maybe her personality? Some people did try it with her but she did seem picky and Frankie liked her in the end. If it's societies perceptions on black people then it's not love islands fault
dont get me wrong samira is a lovely girl but she said she was the only black person. what happened to wes and josh
sebastian knapp like black women
i never said i don't like black women
Here for Sam.....I really want to see more of her. When his her OK interview???? Elle? Hello? Bazaar? Women's health? Etc
The presenter looks like a grown up Raina from Power.
She was literally the prettiest after kaz ❤️❤️❤️
What about Kaz?
Kiera Jade she’s not black. She’s from Thailand and England
Lashai Modest what about Wes?
Lashai Modest pretty sure Kaz is not half english, but that would still make her ethnicity something other than european
Lashai Modest what about idris?
What about josh?
Samira is a real beauty
To be honest I thought samira had the best personality and was the most gorgeous girl. Absolutely didn’t get why a lot of boys didn’t go for her.
I love her 😍
What did she mean when she said why weren't you covering your hair??
Black girls typically wrap up and cover their hair at night with a silk/satin scarf to prevent the hairdo from becoming messy and tangly or to prevent shedding of natural hair
Fed up Interesting - thanks.
Did I see you on Dancing on Ice last night?
I actually love samira
I thought diversity meant showing a great deal of variety?
We had a stationary salesman, actresses, models, a barmaid, personal trainers, a doctors and many other diverse jobs.
Then we had the daughter of an actor, someone born into wealth, people with an average background and so on which are diverse backgrounds.
Then we had black, white, asian and mixed races which is diverse.
OHhhhh wait, I forgot diverse now means the entire show has to feature only black women who are feminists or it's racist and sexist.
Millwaterj racially diverse which it wasn’t
they were very few asian people on the show, but honestly i doubt think they give a shit
Laila Hernandez
But it was racially diverse.
nope, racailly diverse would not have just included a few mixed people, actually needs to have black/indian/pakistani/chinese/philpipino/middle eastern folks
and no one cares, just bang in a few mixed race, and boom its "diverse" lol...such a joke.
its a white show...that how it comes across, most asians don't care, its only black girls who love white men who angry
"I don't think it's a thing of race or anything" 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Nice smart gal 👍🏼
Why can't she tell why she wasn't picked? She wasn't picked BECAUSE she is black and she was the token black girl. It sucks.
I thought she answered the questions rather well. Not too much, not too little.
The Ghetto comment 😑😩 oh gosh
She's a beauty
Thanks for asking all the right questions!
Samira, you knew why you were not picked! You are black!!! That's why!!!!
Respect Samira
she is gorgeous! i do not watch the show but if there was black men on the show she would have got picked those white boys on the show was never going to choose her over becky or sarah any way its their loss
She hates herself. She needs to learn to start loving herself.
Ali Hassan how ? Doesn’t seem like she hates herself
I would 100% have picked samira and I'm white so those guys in there had no taste
You’re bizarre don’t betray your skin and race man
Outfit Details? Pleaseeee
She is lovely
beautiful women 😍
Fittest one in the show!
She was the only black ting in there wtf , wanted to see couple brownies in there😍 to be fair its always like that in all these shows lol
Charles lenoir yhh
shes so gorgeous its crazy
The interviewers voice sounds so educated...Samira, still not sure about her 🤔...
She looks way hotter now. Weird.
She's way more attractive than Laura and she's been with 3 of the most attractive lads in there.
Sam is gorgeous
