I'm very thankful Attack on Titan anime and it's amazing soundtrack exists. I don't know, its music and story really hits some deep inner melancholy in me like no other show before
IKR! The OST is HIGH QUALITY! It's something you hear in big blockbuster films. I am so thankful for this modern mythology and world Isayama has created. In addition, I thank Studio Wit and MAPPA for bringing it to life through animation.
@@brutallyhonestpikachu8250 yes, just what I thought, also the Ackerman would be berserkers, the walls would be midgar's walls (made out of the corpse of a giant) and Eren would be a darker version of Odin (he even loses his eye), but here the ragnarock is the other way around, instead of the giants coming to the walls (well, it kinda happend too) now the giants go to the rest of the world.
This OST specifically sounds so different, it gives off a completely different atmosphere from every other, it makes you look at a mythical time, one which is incredibly important but not present.
Definitely one of if not my favorite OST. Love the grandness of it. Just like how we watched Eldia's empire grow in scale and power, I can also imagine this same track while watching the growth of the Roman empire. This track has that bittersweet feeling of tragic, yet important history long past which fits so well.
Eldia, as a nation, is the fiction-equivalent of Germanic Tribes - while Marleyans are the Romans. The savage and brutal Eldians took over fashion and cultures the Marleyans had cultivated for centuries, only because Ymir has the Power of Titans in her.
From 1:52 on and then 3:00 on I had uncontrollable goosebumps all over my body. This part of the ost was so mysterious, ancient, haunting and soothing at the same time, I can't explain the way it made me feel when I watched the scene. It's so different than usual AOT music, I literally felt like I was watching something that belonged to the past. Like I was watching scenes from Jesus’ life. To finally see and discover after so much time what really created the Titan power was absolutely crazy. This ost made it feel so real. Like I was witnessing real history
The beginning definitely gives me a feeling of "The cruelty of the world - and especially Eren's cruelty - laid bare, and it is what it is." Sort of the essential side of suffering in everything that we all just try not to think about too much.
Bro It's been a few days already why can't I stop playing this anytime. I mean I'm in the subway right now and everyone look so tragic like we all being led to death or worse 😂 love it
The little du du du's around 17-18 seconds in remind me of Black Space. Similar enough sound and paced identically to that. What instrument would that be?
So Eren's goal was to save an avenge her. I mean .. that's pretty legit. I always had a deep interest for that show. But since I saw the mythology of how it started.. I was speechless after I saw that one episode. Now I literally love that piece of art that is Shingeki No kyojin.
Her silence is the point. Her backstory is actually a lot deeper than the barebones details we get She wanted connection bec she was always ignored, whether as a slave or as a normal person. Think of her story via the stories of Freckles and Historia and you will see how it is part of AoT's fundamental conceptualization of humanity. Her love for Fritz was real even when he was an abuser because he was the first person to notice her, without her knowing she remained used like always, and the story makes it clear that this love sealed her tragic fate more This is why Eren's words are SO important "You are not a god or a slave." Both things made her convenient to everyone around her...because that was the only way humans could relate to each other. Read up philosophers like Gabriel Marcel talking about why the world is so broken...because people are treated as functions And Ymir needed to know that she was not a function...she was a being, her own person
@@thebonfireofgains Great analysis bro fr it pretty accurate too. But with the way humans treat each other, it stems from sin, not following one of the first commandemts our creater told us - Love God and love our neighbour as we love ourselves. We disobey both, we hate God and hate our neighbour hence we miss the intrinsic value of another human beings life, so we don't treating them fair and right and so on. Love God means to love and treat with repect Him and anything He's created that includes the intrinsic value of a human life not using them for self intrest and then disregarding them as mere tools and extorting them and so. Such people who do that evil will reap what they sow, the Kingdom of God, they will not inherit (1Cor 6:10)

5:40 is the besttt part for me sooo goood
That part really shows that titans rule and are seen as “gods”
Realmente
Ymir, in norse mythology the First Giant.
There’s a bit of Norse mythology in AoT, it’s well integrated
I think the paths are referencing the world tree in which there are 9 realms

@@Studiosmediamilk And the founding titan's winding form in the finale is Jormugandr!
Lets not forget that just like in norse mythology, the AoT ending is also cyclical. The perfect ending to a perfect story.
Song so epic you can hear Eren screaming from the self-inflicted injuries.

It _is_ an amazing picture. Kudos to the artist.
