  • Sheerpower programs are written in text files with .spsrc for primary programs and .spinc for include files. Sheerpower features its own Integrated Development Environment (IDE) called SPDEV, though any text editor, such as Visual Studio Code (VSC), can be used. Sheerpower has extensions for VSC to streamline writing, debugging, and running code. To validate and run your program in SPDEV, use the validate and run buttons. Outside the IDE, you can execute programs by double-clicking the file, including its name in a batch file, or using the command line. Sheerpower's high-speed compiler allows for efficient incremental coding with immediate error reporting and minimal debugging time. Its syntax is similar to PHP or Python, making it accessible to both beginners and experts. Sheerpower ensures long-term upward compatibility, reducing maintenance costs and focusing on new development.
