How she explained earlier exactly how I started I started off small by putting away $25 in a retirement account then I opened of a investment account, opened up managed portfolios. then I opened up CDs (certificate of deposit). And now without having about it I have about $700 come out of my account and I divide that amongst all of these accounts.

This is by far,,,, by far,, the best financial explanation on how to start building wealth. Your savings % of disposable income is the biggest predictor. All of the other factors so often talked about, follow behind it in importance. Yet almost no discussions are had on savings rate. Great job. I walked away from corporate at 52 and this was vital for us.

As far as additional tips: Yes- Don't borrow money. Pay off all debt as soon as you can. Doing so also relates to the video above regarding savings rates. When you have no debt, your savings rate will soar. Finally, educate yourself about investing. Think of your portfolio as it is a business. As your portfolio capital grows so should the cash flow that it produces. No different than someone running a business. At some point that cash flow can replace your job. @@WealthTwins

Thank you. I am working on saving and have a budgeting system set up for each month. I also have my cash stuffing envelopes (although they are online) that I put money into each paycheck that assists with things I know are coming up- like birthdays, holidays, and other things. Being prepared in advance really helps ease your mind.

I got to watch this later, but income does matter if you get a pension from work and how Social Security is computed. I think Social Security looks at your last 35 years income. A pension make look at your high 3 or high 5 years of income. More is better. I certainly would like to make $500,000 per year than $5 per year. You can save more too if you have more income. :)

I’d rather save a higher rate than depend on social security or a convoluted pension scheme from the state or a company.

My friend saved and saved and hardly spent any money. One day he didn’t wake up and passed away. He never got to enjoy any of his money.

Do you know anyone who makes a lot of money but could benefit from increasing their savings rate?

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ❤️ my Wealth TWINS🤗 I have shared many of your videos. Do you offer financial plans consultations? My 21 year old REALLY needs Wealth mentors. He has saved a SIGNIFICANT amount of money and I told him he needs to invest it but I think he is scared and likes watching it pile up in the bank but I know he is losing money this way 🤦🏽‍♀️

Thank you so much Tee! We love you too and appreciate the support. We don't offer financial plan consultations because of time constraints, but we do have a courses and a membership community. We completely understand him wanting to see his money pile up in a bank, but if he is not saving for anything that he will buy within the next 1-2 years he is losing money. We just did a training on that last week. If he starts investing now, he can really set himself up for the future. Please have your son join our wealth pack to learn more.
