FROM THE BIBLE | Daniel 6:20
When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?
THE BIG POINT
Daniel helped the King a lot and was able to interpret dreams that the King had only by God. He became the King’s greatest friend because Daniel had an excellent spirit about him. Everything he did was good.
The King loved Daniel very much, but there were a few that didn’t like Daniel
They had made a rule that no one can worship any other God for a whole month.
This didn’t stop Daniel from worshipping God. He prayed to God because he knew that God would be the only one to give him strength and courage through it all. He knew that God would help him in the time of need. His enemies saw Daniel praying which was against the rule of the King, so they plotted to kill Daniel, and that is what they did....
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO ME?
Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den. Could you imagine being thrown in a den of lions?! There wasn’t just one lion! There were a lot of hungry lions ready to devour Daniel! YIKES!!!!
Daniel began to pray, he began to sing to God. He began to thank God.
As Daniel prayed an angel came down and guarded him. The mouths of the lions were shut! Daniel could’ve panicked, he could’ve feared, but he didn’t. Daniel knew that God would protect him, and he became fearless and bold, and he overcame the plan of the enemy!!!! God wants you to be fearless and bold!! He wants you to know that he will always protect you because you are his son and his daughter. Today, I want you to declare that you are Fearless!!!! Say it with me - I am Fearless!!!!
WHAT CAN I DO THIS WEEK?
Read Daniel 6 with your family or friends. Discuss the courage Daniel had together. Pray that you all have the same boldness and faith as Daniel.
Meditate and memorize 1 Timothy 1:7. Let that word grow strong within you. You are FEARLESS!
Have some fun! Make a lions mask and share with someone the story of Daniel and the Lions den.
