I have been listening to Gordon LIghtfoot since 1975 and it is great to hear someone that sounds so much like him and will carry on with his music for other generations to hear. Thanks,
well, i just settled in from a 4 hour drive along lake ontario and clicked on this WOW, my entire body's buzzing..happy new year, brian..THIS made me very happy
Been Tilting at windmills my whole life and I still love this song .If I had any money I'd practice noblesse olblige' which also appears dead in the water today.
@OdyBeRidin Thank you again. We do appreciate the kind words. It's really Mr. Woodcock that is the unsung hero behind these songs. Without his equipment and efforts, I'm still just a campfire musician. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
The quality of your performances is extraordinary and they sound even better now that your songs are in amazing stereo! It still boggles my mind how much you sound like GL. Please - keep them coming Brian & Co.!!! Best Regards, Mike
This is absolutely fantastic! I have just finished watching all 49 on your channel. All caught up now and looking forward to whatever you post next. I'm a huge fan!
*****STANDING OVATION***** I feel like waving my lighter. So happy for you that you hooked up with some good musicians, you must be elated. Wishing you a happy new year. cowboy bri
awesome job! all these years later and I found this through pure curiosity and I was not disappointed. Amazing vocals and a great sound which I am sure Gord himself would appreciate
Hello from Iowa...USA. Love your arrangement of Don Quixote. What a tribute to GL!! So nice to hear someone sing Lightfoot so well. You sound much like him in the younger days. Both of you: Keep playing!
Hey, Brian! GREAT JOB! Man you voice, timing, guitar work, ... , everything is excellent! What a perfect collaboration with Lenny. WONDERFUL! - I have listened to this SO often, truly incredibly great sound - great job, Brian! I saw this by another post, earlier, so, I am glad I found 776.... BEST to you! Rick in MT
This is maybe the most heartfelt cover of Mr. Lightfoot's masterwork that I've ever heard. I first bought a copy of Gord's Gold in the early '80's, and in these 30 years gone by I have listened to Don Quixote at least hundreds, if not thousands, of times, and never grow tired of it. Thanks for posting this, it will be added to my "favorites" list.
Whenever I feel down, depressed or stressed I listen this album, it centers me. Have to confess I listen to it a lot. Brian has a voice as close to Gord's that I've ever heard. Xlnt!!
I have had the good fortune to see Lightfoot in concert a few times. You guys have taken me back to Massey Hall in Toronto with Gord and the boys!! Awesome job of playing the songs. Thanks for sharing your talent with us...
Yesterday its asad day for us brian rest in piece gordon lightfoot now i hope you gonne make new video's on UA-cam the music of gordon lightfoot never dies i wisch you all the best from Holland
I am a recent subscriber and I want you to know it has been an inspiration for me to hear you play this song. This elegant and friendly style deserves truly recognition. I will try to pass comment on all your works. Saludos from the land of Don Quixote.
Dude.....I literally did not believe it was you singing for the first minute. Your vocals are awesome. Phenomenal job on this covers. Guitars are bright and clears. Playing is spot on.
Hi Brian! I absolutely love this cover. I'm submitting a podcast to the Tribeca Film Festival and was hoping to get permission to use this song in the closing credits. The podcast deals with a Don Quixote-esque figure from the 70s and 80s Miami nightlife scene. Please let me know when you can. Thanks!
That would be fine with me John, but I don't know if you need Lightfoot's permission since it's his song. I'm glad you like it enough to do that. Thanks
Brian....again a superb cover and the studio recordings are fantastic. Tremedous!! Hats off to you, Lenny and Bob...I am like a kid in a candy store when I see a new post from you...I very much look forward to your vid's....You have a gift my friend....Gordon Lightfoot is performing near where I live March 27...I have never seen him live so I am very excited to have the opportunity to go to his show.....Keep using the studio.......Nick
I have watched this video probably 20 times and every time I watch, it makes me want to take my guitar out and play. You guys make it look so easy and so cool.
Forgot to add, I'd really like to hear your rendition of Edmund Fitzgerald. I know people request songs all the time but I can imagine you're about the only person who would do it justice.
Love this version and both of you Brian and Lenny compliment each others picking and rhythm so well! You can play anywhere! I'm book marking this! Thanks for sharing!
Wow, You guys are awesome, I mean I never would have thought I would like someone else doing this song better than Gordon but you did it, this will be the song I always listen to from this day forward, I mean I am impressed. Thank you, thank you for putting on here for everyone, it is much appreciated at this end.
Hi, Sorry, I kept losing pieces of my message to you. I respect Phil Ochs, but love the quicker timing that GL provided for Changes. TY,!! I look fwd to hearing you sing this great song.
GL came here to OKC a few months back. I have heard recent recordings of the legend, bless his heart he still sings the songs with soul but his voice has changed over the years. I would rather see you play. Someone needs to forward your covers to GL. Im sure he would be proud! Take care.
WOW. I have not listened to a song over and over again for years! Please, please if you can do GL's "Walls" and "Home from the Forest" those would be perfect for the sound you all have. I'm so afraid those two songs might be lost & I love them both. KCarr
Hey Brian, this is the time for me to say: Gordon Lightfoot can not reach you! ...sorry Gordon! Amazing job, never heard better stuff before!!! Ich ziehe meinen Hut vor Dir, And congratulation to your friends too!!! Joe

Great sounds guys.

Thank you kindly.
I closed my eyes and thought it was Gord singing.
Pleas ignore the negative comments ✝️💕🎸❤️y’all rock
Thanks Ronald. We do.
What chords are you using
Looks like standard c, d couldn’t pick up the rest
Ive only found it capo on 2 using A, D,E, D/A, E/A E7, and E7/A
It's originally played in the A formation. I sometimes play it in G capo 3 or 4. It's pretty much G, C/G Am7/G an d D or D7.
They are playing the key of B and Brian's capo is on the 4th fret (G-4) and he is using the standard G-C-D chords.
awesome job! all these years later and I found this through pure curiosity and I was not disappointed. Amazing vocals and a great sound which I am sure Gord himself would appreciate
Thanks djb. We appreciate it.
Is there a tab?

A wonderful cover. I love the thin arrangement and masterful guitar work. This could pass for Gord and Red back in the day. Congratulations and thanks
Thanks very much. We had a lot of fun doing it.
Thanks very much for all of your kind comments. We appreciate them very much.
You don't need flashy productions when you are talented! Awesome job!
Thanks ZZZ, I appreciate that.
The new Don Quixote is Owen Harris opening eyes all the time!

Just saw Gord in Concert Sunday--your covers are still the best I've ever heard!
So well done. Your voice has a beautiful quality and this is such a beautiful song. Thank you. I'd love to see more of your singing.
Thank you kindly E P.
I closed my eyes and was taken to a Lightfoot concert at the university in the late 60s. Some nights he and the band would play for hours.
That's quite a compliment, and much appreciated Rob. He is without peer.
This is Gord in his heyday with a fantastic voice. His later concerts before his death were unlistenable. Sorry
Thanks for stopping by David.
Forgot to add, I'd really like to hear your rendition of Edmund Fitzgerald. I know people request songs all the time but I can imagine you're about the only person who would do it justice.
You guys really are incredible! I'm surprised your name isn't MUCH bigger out there.
Thanks for the kind words Jay. We were just having some fun on a great GL tune.
Love this version and both of you Brian and Lenny compliment each others picking and rhythm so well! You can play anywhere! I'm book marking this! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for listening. We appreciate it.
If I heard this on radio, I would be certain it was Gordon Lightfoot.
Thanks for listening Doc.
Thank you. I kind of needed this.

Thanks Dean.
