I really like the dynamic of two people with history meeting as host and guest, both telling the other that they shouldn't be there and promising they'll quit, the back and forth teasing and the nebulous feeling of what is part of the host/guest pageantry and what's genuine concern/care for the other- like, I want to see a show with characters with that dynamic. I always love when the deredere surfaces between a couple that spend all the rest of their time at odds or teasing each other
This entire bit is so good. This feels like it was ripped straight out of a drama and even manages to tie itself up with a neat little bow at the end with the weary host getting a last minute boost from his friend

I have no idea if the japanese fans stir up drama over Mea and Roberu, but my headcanon is that they fit so well together that even the most creepy gachikoi doesn't mind.
