Watching this after catching Rick Stein testing Masterchef Aus contestants with fish.. 30 mins just fly by when you watch him talk about, prepare and cook fish! Really meditative :)
I love watching and learning from Rick Stein. One of my family meals through the week is the Moroccan meat balls meal. What an amazing cook. Thanks Rick! Much respect!
Hi sir i am Chinnasamy from chennai in india, you program is bbc channel every episode i don't missing sir, i like your program , i am meeting with you sir...
In the 70's I worked as a diver in the UK North Sea. We always kept an eye out for crabs and lobsters for the occasional dinner treat. One season I was crowned King Crab because of the numbers I caught. On one dive my score was 30+ after recovering some debris that spilled out crabs all over the deck. They were all cooked and either eaten onboard or dressed and frozen or their meat frozen in plastic pots. I took home a heap of frozen crabmeat at the end of that trip 😊
Thank you. I have appreciated your travels and cooking and conversation with home cooks and places where food is a part of life.I have enjoyed your story telling in real time.Along with all your experiences meeting people and the foods they are experts in cooking and eating!
Sir, I thoroughly enjoyed your food travel experiences around the world which were telecast in BBC Television. Your narration is fantastic. Thank you very much.

Gods I remember dressing crab years ago as a work experience teen in my local fishmonger' shop.......learned so much in 2 weeks I can still recall the crabs turning up in seawater filled buckets, pincers bound and ready for the pot. Nothing fancy but picking the meat out took ages, loved every moment of it. I still like crab over lobster but not all the time, just now and again. And those crab timbales.....we pretty much inhaled them, delicious
Hey rick stein, You want know me but you might know my mum who used to work for you in Padstow her name was Selina. yeah well I'm her son and she help me forage for mussels when I was younger and they tasted great thanks to you... Also I am into cooking seafood to you have and tips on seafood...

I really like Rick Stein; have for ages but more time to focus on cooking these days... yay! Loved the seafood odessey in the garden making melange with fish and a bit of green dressing...! Love Rick's program's. I enjoy the places he visits and people he meets.. BUT!! is it me but when he tastes the food it's in his mouth less than a second, and without chewing, he says " fantastic, beautiful texture" HOW? you dont chew it! You do it with everything. Please Rick explain why you do this. Now I can see it I cant stop seeing it and its starting to bug me and I dont want it to.
Is his name pronounced as "Stine" or "Steen"? He was born in England, and not Germany, so why would his name be pronounced as "Stine"? Is this an English peculiar thing, as in Corbyn's pronunciation of Epstein as "Epstine", rather than "Epsteen"?
You never open the bottom of a crab with a knife you lightly push with both thumbs. (40 years as a seafood chef??) amateur!!! Over 30 years I’ve had a crab/lobster boat and I’ve never seen that before.

Brilliant Rick really informative
Rick, I tried your restaurant inn Padstow when I lived in Devon. It was a great disappointment.
When making a mayonnaise add a bit of mustard. It not only adds flavor but it is an emulsifying agent, too. The egg yolks must be at room temperature.
Surfactant molecules

We have come a long way , a very young rick here , would have to be early 80s
1999
One question how do you cook beef probably without making tough to eat
I rate Rick
No personality but a skilled cook.
Honestly he is like if "beige" were a person. I do like watching the cooking though! Maybe best put on mute?
You European chef are taking Indian & Asian food & improving Western food
hi good morning
"that smells like brie" : "that smells like old petit poi's pees"....
So lucky to live near the sea. The average person can't get fish as fresh as he can.
tell me about it
i love the sea
I love all his shows but the jolly pirate music on this one starts to get on my nerves a bit after a while 😂
Is this Rick's official channel? All the other clips in the channel are blocked by BBC Studios.

plastic inside crab, this is visible. what about the micro and nano plastics, oh man we are fucked up.
Ein ...stein
At 4:31 you'd tasted the saue and then popped the last drop from your dirtied spoon back into the pot. Disgusting.
Let me guess, stick some butter up an iron pan, again !......Wow, thanks Wick, but seriously, WTF doesn't go with butter.....
What a waste of public money sending this guy all over the world to cook?? How many more cooks do we actually need on tv.
Nahhh ur movin mad, this man’s passion for food is unrivalled! Most of these tv chefs don’t have half the knowledge Rick has! 👨🍳
You never open the bottom of a crab with a knife you lightly push with both thumbs. (40 years as a seafood chef??) amateur!!! Over 30 years I’ve had a crab/lobster boat and I’ve never seen that before.
Brie Larson
@brielarson
Found Padstow, became a chef Rick Stein Stan!

Your still bsing your customers, Keith Floyd is the Real One..
Mr.Stein, you have deleted all video except one, why don't you simply cancel this channel?
Are there any stories of your doing this?!
The guy's no more than an constantly inept apprentice cook ; no chef.
Really - and you are
Always be a poor second to Keith Floyd
Not really. Totally different way of looking at food. Well Rick isn't a alcoholic lol
Ok blimey! I'm not a vegetarian. Is it ok to throw a live pig or cow in to boiling water to cook? Why is seafood different?Ok Its a bit barbaric!
I know!!! Lobster, crab etc 💔💔💔 being boiled alive 😭😭😭
Your a thief Rick.
its amazing that people watch this guff !!! its cooking after all anyone can do it, its not rocket science
Korean street food shows you talk xhite and RIP people off
