DARK - DARK ROUND THE EDGES LP (ORIGINAL 1972 SELF-RELEASED COPY - BLACK/WHITE SINGLE SLEEVE - S.I.S. RECORDS SR 0102S - COMPLETE WITH BOOKLET) Here it is! We are thrilled to offer for auction 1 of only 37 original copies of the 'black & white single sleeve' version of Dark Round The Edges; the groundbreaking LP from 1972 often described as a 'Holy Grail' for record collectors worldwide. The record (self-released on the band's own S.I.S. Records) is in Ex condition. Side one shows only a couple of very light and minor surface hairline marks, none of which are ever heavier in nature. Side 2 displays some light 'spot' like surface marks (possibly from a stylus) - though these cannot be felt at all. The record plays in Ex condition throughout without any issues and only a little lying surface noise in the much quieter sections. The centre labels are sharp and clean on both sides. Matrix (machine stamped) ADM LP 791 A & ADM LP 791 B with A1 DB and B1 DB etched in the runouts. The hand-made black and white sleeve is in lovely Ex condition with both pasted images in fantastic sharp and clean order showing little wear. The edges of the sleeve display signs of age-related discolouration and minor wear around the corners. Complete with the original 11-page lyric booklet which has minor bending to the pages and wear though no rips or tears. An all round cracking copy of the masterpiece from Steve Giles, Clive Thorneycroft, Martin Weaver and Ron Johnson.
