This brings back some memories! i had one same colour as this. The 1.6 was getting knackered and as the Mexico had identical gearbox and axle to the RS2000 the gearing was always a little tall for it anyway i stuck the 2.0 in it. And of cource i told the insurance company! Nice original restoration would love to have one again.

The car had little or no rust when we started - any rotten panels were replaced - the car was totally wax oiled and the body remains very good today 5 yrs after resto

Looks like pure Orange juice, one of my fave colours along with desert sand/camo/Olive drab,AWESOME
in the 80's i had a mexico that was uprated to an rs2000 too.i wrote it off when i spun it into a wall.it was the best car iv ever had.happy days.!

Why is there 1 dislike?. Alot of work has gone into restoring the car and it looks great. My brother had 2 mrk 2 mexico's back in 1986 both red.

Never sell it you will regret it. I had a 16 Sport and wish I still had it...just cried watching this, you lucky man. :)
