I wish I could have had a father figure I could ask these questions to without judgement. What a wholesome conversation!

Enjoyed the brilliance of Erwin combined with the bold curiosity of his son. This will help me connect with my son better. Thank you!

Love this so much. My favorites that I will be meditating on:
“You have to change people if you’re going to change yourself.”
“Don’t hate where you are, hate where you’re at.”
“Your success will be completely connected to the person you’re becoming, not even to what you’re accomplishing. And then let your accomplishments come out of your essence.”

The number of neurons found in the heart is mind boggling!! I studied biology in college and I thought this was so insane: heart transplant recipients can sometimes "experience" the trauma the donor heart went through. For instance, one heart transplant recipient claimed they would randomly feel heavy impact/pressure, similar to that of an intense car crash, which happened to be the incident that took their donor's life. Similar to the brain, the heart has the ability to store memory because of its neurons!

So good to have you guys back. Wonderful topic today. The genius of Erwin McManus. So much wisdom poured out here. I was thinking if we wrote down all the insightful quotes from Erwin it would be like a second book of Proverbs. Truly fascinating and as Erwin likes to say "Epic"!

Need to stop "listening to myself" and instead "talk to myself" more.
"Self-mastery, immune to any passing whim".

A lot of new age talking points for a Christian podcast

The audience is not just for Christians. Just like Jesus message wasn't just for believers.

lol thank u for the judgey comment. We are pretty new age in that we see and understand things in a new way. And we are most definitely not a Christian podcast. We are 2 humans having a conversation about life.

@@aaroncmcmanus Was an observation, not a judgement, Aaron. You’re projecting your insecurity on my intent, you felt judged and thought that’s what I was saying.
      If I wanted to tho…
What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 1 Corinthians 5:12
      God bless.
