Hey! Emma, you are a brilliant teacher and I am following you since I joined British council last year and it's been great time with you and your teaching of the super excited learning. Keep it up. Warm regards.
I've been studying english for quite some time and no body ever taught me this, and I really think it is really important and helpful. Love your channel.
Definitely some pronunciation tips worth keeping in mind... I'm sure you use reduced forms in your native language too - it's worth understanding we use them in English - it helps with your LISTENING and helps you to sound more natural when you speak English!
Awesome! It definitely takes a bit of practise, but now that you are aware of these unstressed forms, you'll notice native English speakers using them all the time! Another lesson you might find useful, Vinícius, is this one about syllable stress: ua-cam.com/video/XAIoSYqzGkY/v-deo.html
mmmEnglish Hello teacher Emma I love u so much and i`ll ask u to help me please I`ll learn speaking englisch but the problem is that I don`t know how will I will learn speaking englisch can u help me please and thank u ! I will say for u that I am 12years old and I study good englisch at school and at school we study britisch englisch but maby I can`t speak because I am worry when I speak and then I have mistakes help me please and thank`s for your beautiful videos Houda from Algeria
Hi Emma, I from Mexico, and I just find your videos, they really helps me to be better in this weird language!, I have been estudied for long time, but is not easy to practice because no body speaks English, so I practice by myself!
Emma, you are amazing making each lesson more simple and more interesting for both teachers and students of 'ESL' You make each sound so clear and so well pronounced and yet so natural. we love to imitate you. Keep it up.
My pronunciation is quite bad. Sometimes nobody understand my English and I had an unpleasant experience. But i'm trying to say IPA everyday and look IPA when i learn the new vocabulary cause i learned about it from your videos. Now I feel like i'm improving. Thank you Emma. This video also so helpful for my improving pronunciation.
Hi Emma! I need to practise for the rest of my life to get just a few sounds, at least. 45 sounds... it´s not a piece of cake. My God! Thanks a lot, your videos are really helpful.
Lately, I've been wondering how you sound so calm while recording the videos. Your voice is so relaxed, you don't speak fast, so that proves you're not nervous nor stressed out while speaking in front of the camera. Also, your face shows that, you're perfectly natural. How do you do that? 😀
That is such a good question, Tiffany! It is much easier to be calm and relaxed when you are teaching a lesson alone, talking only to a camera! If I was presenting on a stage to a hundred people, I'm sure that I wouldn't be quite so calm! I also spend a lot of time preparing for each lesson 😊
I'm so proud to say that we've always teach these at my school. We have a special point in our book to teach stressed and non-stressed words. Thanks for sharing Emma.
I cant believe i use the 'the' in the correct form without being thought about the difference.. i guess i developed it naturally in time.. thank you!! I still like watching your videos...❤
Hi Emma! Your lessons are well-explained. I love to see your videos. Please do video on phonetics from basics .I wanna learn phonetic transcription also .Can you please do it for me n your students?
could you give me an advice, when I go to outside I forget all my English I can not speak English with people I become totally confused so I am not confidence at all , so what should I do ?
Tamana Quraishi I have exactly the same problem and have asked Emma's wonderful advice and this advice was to repeat and imitate the conversation and the voices we hear .
بالعربي و باختصار اسمع كثيرا و قم بتكرار و تقليد الكلام . و هناك امر اخر مفيد جدا وله فاعلية كبيرة ، و هو البحث عن صديق و التدرب على الحديث معه بشكل مستمر سواء على ارض الواقع او على الانترنت باستخدام برامج الشات حتى تتمكن من الوصول الى مرحلة الثقة المطلقة و التحدث بطلاقة . بالتوفيق .
Tamana, you must find ways to practise speaking regularly with people that you trust! Here are some of my suggestions: 1. As Mahmoud suggested, practise your pronunciation and English expressions by imitating a native English speaker. You can find my imitation lessons right here: www.mmmenglish.com/imitation 2. Join my online community for incredible women learning English - we focus on improving your conversation skills and your confidence to use English. Find out more: www.theladiesproject.com/ 3. Find an online speaking partner - that way, you don't have to "step outside" to practise and you can slowly build up your confidence by regularly meeting and practising with the same person.
Emma, you are really natural and your language is one of the most, perhaps the most, typical in the world to help learners in a natural way. i really admire you to my heart. I wish i would listen your pronunciation at stages giving a speech about any topic. Please say a few words in response to my comments. Really!
