I work in the Music Industry here in London and have written and produced for a lot of very well known bands and artists both here and in the States. What's really quite sad with Milli Vanilli is that this still goes on today with a lot more bands and artists than people realise. It always has. They were just very unlucky because they wanted more creative control, more input and worst of all tried standing up to the producer and machinery which operated behind them. That very rarely works in any of the Entertainment Industries - especially if it's going to start disrupting people's money and you are their cash cow 😳🇬🇧
Why? They agreed on the plan. They didn't have the talent to sing, but they had the looks and they could dance (the actual singers were fat) It was just a business deal to make profit. Everyone involved got their share of the pie, but then they simply got "found out" There's nothing remarkable about this story.
Will definitely be watching this. No denying the songs were absolute hits but feel bad for what Rob and Fab ended up going through, it wasn't their fault they were 100% used.
@@ramanjeet1111 The US distribution company. They tend to release a lot of cheap/bad genre movies. None of the major distributors picked this up for a wide release so they're doing a simultaneous release in limited theatres and on video on demand rental.
Hopefully more people realize that the real joke was the producer. He made a killing doing this in the 70’s with Boney M and he tried it again with Rob and Fab. Sadly, they took that heat with them till very recently.
I wish people were more understanding and accepting when this all went down! The world would still have a bright star shining among us, but instead he burnt out bc this world was too cruel to forgive and forget! I was 10 yo at the time and knew it wasn’t as bad as everyone made it out to be. Just sad…RIP Rob ❤
We can't say that they were perfectly innocent. But they were naïve as well as they really wanted to be stars and be loved by the fans. They needed money, they were basically penniless. What was not fair that there were others who were responsible ( some of them even more than Rob and Fab), but the boys took ALL the blame. I cant really tell whether Rob could ( or could have learnt to) sing/rap well. But I think Fab is really good. (Not a genius but geniuses are VERY rare. ) They both had this charisma what is more than being very good dancera and having good looks.
I'm so glad a biopic is coming out about their situation! Because listening to his interviews you will look at their situation totally different from how the media portrays them.
Frank Farian screwed them over so badly it killed Rob. The world turned them into villains and never let them forget. And then because of a TV show of the menendez brothers, they are being discovered again. the world owes them a deep apology.

I've always felt bad for those two
You felt bad for liars.
Awesome
Your values are all fucked up.
LMFAO no talent hacks
@@alk3hall977 They were amazing entertainers & dancers, fashion, they very much had talent
Um, you think you can dance & perform like them? Stahhp
Why?
They agreed on the plan. They didn't have the talent to sing, but they had the looks and they could dance (the actual singers were fat)
It was just a business deal to make profit. Everyone involved got their share of the pie, but then they simply got "found out"
There's nothing remarkable about this story.
Excellent movie! The world needs to know the truth about Milli Vanilli and how they didn't deserve all the hate they got.
Definitely watching this!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️👍🏾
Ain't gonna lie, every time a Milli Vanilli song comes on, it brings back the best feelings and memories EVER! Can't wait to watch this movie.
I’m sold! My sisters loved them.
Will definitely be watching this. No denying the songs were absolute hits but feel bad for what Rob and Fab ended up going through, it wasn't their fault they were 100% used.
Definitely watch, even if it's vertical
vertical???
@@ramanjeet1111 The US distribution company. They tend to release a lot of cheap/bad genre movies. None of the major distributors picked this up for a wide release so they're doing a simultaneous release in limited theatres and on video on demand rental.
Ooh I can’t wait to see this! I loved Milli Vanilli
Hopefully more people realize that the real joke was the producer. He made a killing doing this in the 70’s with Boney M and he tried it again with Rob and Fab. Sadly, they took that heat with them till very recently.
I was in college when this all went down. Their music was hot!
CRAZY PART IS THAT THEY COULD ACTUALLY SING !!!!!!!!!!!! at the sametime they had Black Box singing over Martha Wash.
no they couldnt
Black Box. Now there's another band with a great lead singer who deserved better.
@@kidrobot. Fab can sing well
I’m so watching this ❤ 1989 ruled!
I dont even listen to their music but I’m going to watch this. This is such an interesting story.
I WILL be watching ! I felt bad for the way he treated them, R.I.P Rob😔❤
I can't wait till this movie coming out I still love that hit song today
August 9th
I remember (I was stationed on Okinawa at the time), that the radio played their songs nonstop.
August 9th!
Is it on Netflix or Hulu?
@@adellerivers Neither, but it is on Amazon prime,Apple TV or Fandango
@@adellerivers it's on apple TV or Amazon prime
0;:56 That dude looks JUST like Fab in that shot. And the other dude looks like Rob i other shots. Great casting.
Yes and both are german and french actors like the og fab and rob
What a time to be a part of & what’s crazy is they actually got two guys that looks just like them
Why it took so long for their movie. We done had every movie from M C Hammer to Bobby Brown. Finally!
Frank Farian screwed them over so badly it killed Rob. The world turned them into villains and never let them forget. And then because of a TV show of the menendez brothers, they are being discovered again. the world owes them a deep apology.
great... finally a good movie to watch and to watch again👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I hope this movie tells the actual true story. They did a great job choosing actors!
everyone knows the story already
this movie looks good
That song still hits today🔥
Girl you know it's - Girl you know it's - Girl you know it's - Girl you know it's - Girl you know it's
The 80s had a certain charm about them, just like the 90s...current times though 🚮
it's the nostalgia. don't let it blind you
@@kidrobot. nah. it's more than that.
I really loved the movie. They were set up by their own label and the people to fail, but they were performers and killed it regardless. And I hope this movie gets them justice.
