Joanne......thank you and bless you for saving little Mia...a little soul that most would have passed over as too damaged, without a second thought. But you took her without knowing if she even could be saved or if her hair would ever grow back...and surely you could never have guessed she would be transformed into the the stunning looking little angel we see today!
Thank you for being able to see the adorable little spirit inside her poor little abused and ravaged body. It's been an honor to meet you.

Mia is just one of the cutest dogs I've ever seen! Bless you for opening your heart and home to this sweet little girl! I think they know when they've been rescued. I currently have 10 rescue dogs at home. They are tiny chi's, a yorkie rescued from a puppy mill, a pitbull, a poodle mix. No, I'm not a hoarder. My house and property are cleaner than most people's house without animals. I know I cannot rescue anymore, but the ones I have are well cared for and very much loved. I have a farm and they have a ginormous backyard to run and play in. I have rehomed some, but the ones that are with me now need special care and understanding. A few of them took a VERY long time to adjust so I won't put them through that again. Again, I love hearing about stories like yours. It gives me hope for those without a voice.

Joyce you Rock 10! You are my hero! I just rescued a cat form the West LA pound very sick (kitten actually) My other cat had been living in the Condo garage wall for 5 weeks i didn't know it She washiding from the ferral cats that were eating the food the neighbors were leaving out for her! As soon as i saw here i took her to the vet and put up notices everywhere for miles and at all the vets! After months I adopted her! She hates the new baby and hides and is scared! I hope in time she can adjust! I will never return any animal to the pound!!!! Do you have cats? any advice?

The Chihuahua was 5 pounds and beaten up teeth kicked in and shaking with her back to the cage opening at the pound. I sat down to tie my shoe and saw her on the bottom shelf. I took her and she is the most loving dog ever! Her name now is Tessa. She eats super fast because she was starved her entire life before living with me.The Yorkies were sick from a puppy mill. The larger Yorkie had holes for balls to drop but she is a girls so her intestines where coming out. She was 7 weeks. I took her very sick. The little one was tied to a bed and was being kept for breeding. these are all my dogs. My 87 year old mother is so in love with Mia she adopted her from me but Mia spends time at my house because my mom is not well. I also adopted a cat who was living in the garage wall for 4 weeks. When the other condo owners told me she had been living there for 4 weeks i immediately got her out took her in. My mom LOVES Mia so much it has cheered her up and she is a new person. Mia spends time with me when my mother is took sick to care for her which is quite often. Mia loves her!
