@@livefromthemotherland Yeah, trying to beat this game is more trouble than you would think with the amount of backtracking it takes to unlock even just the final boss. I know there's cheats for this game to where you can unlock every level at once, but that defeats the purpose of progressing normally.
This is an actually faithful tie in to the movie, as it follows sopongebob and Patrick’s journey to and from shell city instead of embarrassingly sidelining the plot of the movie to explore other silly enviroments
That was one of my most favorite childhood videogame. I thank Stephen Hillenburg for this. The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie Game should be remastered in his honor.
Does anybody else think that the patty wagon driving segments were derived from Murray's racing segments in Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus? They both had things that enabled the player to drive faster when the player hit them on the track; in this case, molecules, in the case of Sly I, dynamite sticks.
A great successor it was. Can you believe they actually tried to make a sequel recently? And from what I read it didn't do well. It also become a shooter that can be multiplayer.

Omg I love that game it brings so many memories but I was never allowed to play it cause my mom said I was a girl and girls can't play games so I had to sneak behind her back
Nohely Pardo I've never heard of moms who do that, wow. Gaming should be some of the best parts of everyones life. Im so sad that today's games for kids are dumb and stupid, and generally don't contribute in any way to a kid. I feel like I've learned so much from games.
*SpongeBob:* I guess people are right. I am just a kid. And you know, I've been through a lot in the past six days, five minutes, twenty-seven-and-a-half seconds. And if I've learned anything during that time, It's that you are who you are. And no amount of mermaid magic or managerial promotion or some other third thing can make me anything more than what I really am inside: A kid. But that's okay. Because I did what everyone said a kid couldn't do. I made it to Shell City, and I beat the Cyclops, and I rode the Hasselhoff, and I brought the crown back! So, yeah, I'm a kid. And I'm also a goofball. And a wing nut. And a Knucklehead McSpazatron! But most of all, I'm... I'm... I'm... I'M!... I'M! (6:16:04)
Yeah, copyright laws suck. Not only could Heavy Iron not get the rights to play Ocean Man, but they couldn't even get David Hasselhof to voice act, not even use his likeness. If you look at the face of what is supposed to be Hasselhof, you'll see they seriously edited it beyond resemblance, and doesn't even say his name.
Hidden Secret: if you upgrade your normal attack (or any attack depending on the character) up to max, you can deflect your enemies projectiles back at them! It worked for me back when I this on my GameCube. 👍
Ughhh i love this game with such a nostalgic passion, but me and my brother don’t know how to set up the GameCube ever since we unplugged it and moved to a different house.
5:18:12 Okay, so, I never 200% this game when I was younger, but I thoroughly look for those things, yet I do not remember that one at all! I laughed so hard at that!
Either that or f***. Because in sailor mouth spongebob walks into the Krusty Krab and says hey Patrick. How the (dolphin noise) are ya? Then Patrick responds, "pretty (dolphin noise) good".
Apparently, according to TV Tropes, this particular version of the game is supposed to be downright terrible compared to the PS2 and Xbox versions. Quote, "The Spongebob Movie Game has an abysmal port that suffers from really long load times that can go on for up to 40 seconds on certain stages and actually have a tendency to CRASH, really compressed textures and almost no proper lighting, unstable and inconsistent framerate with some stages running at the normal 60 fps and others running at 30, many missing visual effects and background details, and quite a few more bugs than the other versions." Either I was really naive as a kid or the person who put that on TV Tropes was overexaggerating things, because the only two issues in that list I remember experiencing as a kid where the long loading times and the framerate dips, and even then said dips were only in particular areas of or situations in a select few stages. The graphics looked just fine to me, I've never noticed any bugs during regular gameplay, and not once do I ever remember my copy of the game crashing.
I find that most people are overcritical of nintendo consoles. The GameCube version was fine. It was a fun game and it's minor defects didn't deter the gameplay so in my book that makes it a game I'd recommend to people. Besides most spongebob games were better on gamecube than ps2 (*cough* flying dutchman *cough*) so I'm not sure who to believe lol.
Awesome! The King was definately harder than I thought he'd be. Took me a bit longer than I'd like to admit to realize I had to turn around the tables. It's even in the level name, lol.
I remember going to blockbuster as a young boy and renting this game to play it on the weekend with my parents on the GameCube (and then buying the game from them of course!) Who knew video games could bring back so many good memories

My last view of Wizard101 for _years_ before I got a one-month membership a year or two ago. I got more done with that one month than I'd been able to do with years. Comes of getting older, I suppose.
I think the latest SpongeBob game Cosmic Shake which is a sequel to the remake version of Bfbb took a bit inspiration from this game which the way to clear a level is similar and some of SpongeBobs moves remind me of some of the attacks in this game like SpongeBobs dodge move is similar to Patrick's cartwheel and can do a reflect attack which is similar to here

So was the dolphin noise in the show in that one episode, possibly ass?
"Mr Krabs is a ass"
it fits, considering the ______ Smash.
Either that or f***. Because in sailor mouth spongebob walks into the Krusty Krab and says hey Patrick. How the (dolphin noise) are ya? Then Patrick responds, "pretty (dolphin noise) good".
The way Sponge moves his mouth in the episode indicates two syllables. If "ass" is the real word, in the episode, it would be "asshole".
