Talking about worn down Ultimate Valkyrie, mine is SUPER worn down, like there’s literal chunks of the blade missing. What I do see very often is how much harder it hits
I think it has another chance in BeybladeX theoretically if you can get under your opponent, and the rubber makes contact with the ratchet, which just twists to burst the Beyblade, it could have serious use
The rubber attack trades some kinetic force for frictional force which basically pulls at whatever it hits. That makes it worse at ring outs but better at bursting other beys by pulling their ratchet with frictional impact. That's why back in the day it wasn't recommended to grab judgement because it pulled at your skin rather than hitting harder which is why it hurt more.
This was the logic back in Burst for why people thought soft rubber Judgement was OK before more realized the harder rubber judgement was better in performance but the reality is harder rubber is better in actual practise for what was used, there is too much trade off to waste your energy. Is it possible for ratchet grip? maybe but we will wait and see I view the blade for more defense stuff if any use
Yeah, I mean I’m pretty sure thats how you can get a slow-mo burst. I tried weak launching wizard fafnir against a bunch of fast spinning right spin burst beys and generally it got some damage in
Rubber attack essentially acts as brakes and makes beys lose more spin when hit (both the attacker and the target). In Burst, rapid deceleration of the layer is how bursting worked, so rubber attack had some theoretical use by sacrificing KO potential for a higher chance of bursting your opponent (even if in practice it wasn't that effective). In X, bursting works by hitting the ratchet, so rubber attack has no use, even theoretically Now, if we get some more left spinning beys and Impact Drake turns out to be a great equalizer, we might have something akin to Dynamite+F on our hands
I think the idea (not claiming it will be effective) is to do something similar to burst with the brakes idea, since impact is on low rush, the idea would be to hit the ratchet with the rubber and cause a burst that way
Won’t hitting the layer super hard also burst it like hitting the ratchet? It should detach the ratchet regardless no? And there’s also a bit burst where the bit pops off, would rubber help in bit bursts?
@@CybSillyCat Hitting the blade won't make it burst since the ratchet has to lose momentum faster than the blade. In Burst, hitting your opponent's disk wouldn't make them burst because you'd just push the disk in the wrong direction (making them regain clicks if anything) As for bit bursts, they rely on strong recoil. Rubber reduces recoil and might make bit bursts harder
@@Xephyr12 I guess it's possible. I don't know how much of a difference it will make until it releases, but Low Flat and Low Rush might pair well with Impact if the rubber works

Must be the Nightmare after Christmas. - Ghost Circle should've been a defense type due to the circular shape & the ratchet, it could've have High Needle or Dot rather than Gear Ball.
@@franciscocaiomartins3798 I'm saying this person worded it wrong instead of saying they like how right spin it's drake and he called the left spin cobalt
@@jolly6449 because cobalt is the constant, or was. Cobalt Drake, Cobalt Dragoon. Like Dran, Dran Sword, Dran Dagger, Dran Buster. Impact Drake breaks the naming conventions previously used, because it uses 2 "secondary" names, or 2 surnames. It should be Cobalt Impact, not Impact Drake.
In Burst, I can at least see the logic of rubber attacks since hitting the blade is what bursts the opponent, but it doesn't make nearly as much sense in X since hitting the metal blades doesn't burst it. I know it's probably meant to hit the ratchet, grip onto it and burst it easily, but it's not worth sacrificing more hard metal contact points for softer rubber blades, in my opinion. I can see this only being good _if_ it's heavy and because it'd be heavy, not really the rubber. The contact points are also very round and blunt, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was more useful at Defense than it would be at attack. Ghost Circle seems like it'll be very powerful, it's very round and has very little to no real notches to latch onto. 0-80, I'm glad it's not a perfect circle, and has a visible notch. I don't mind Gear Ball, but I wish it was white, pink or purple instead of orange. Also, it's funny how last year, we had 9-60 and GB for both December releases, and this year, we're having 9-60 and GB for these December releases too.
Since you brought up hard rubber vs. soft rubber, note that Drake's corocoro ad compares the rubber used on it to the sort of tough rubber you'd find on tires and earthquake-resistant stuff. Sure wish they could've spared some of that for Rubber Accel, huh...
Impact Drake could work as some kind of balance type. Using point or elevate and play it like Tyrano beat. The question is with all that rubber does it have good weight?
Now if there are small spring-like bits under the rubber maybe it could do something but if it’s too light it would still probably just ring out itself
The friction of the rubber made sense in Burst because (before you disproved it) we all thought the friction made the opponent more likely to burst and out less focus on KOs. Alternatively, in X, I doubt the rubber would grip onto the ratchet and make bursting easier; so it probably ends up reducing raw attack power. EDIT: 0-80 looks like a hybrid between 3 and 7. Could work well on Elevate, but also probably pretty outclassed.

Impact Drake is a bizzare take on an Attack Beyblade. I'm thinking the reason why it has these rubber contact points lies in its new bit, Low Rush. With the lower height provided by LR it seems to aim for Ratchets primarily, likely using the rubber to latch onto them to get an easy Burst Finish. At least that's what I think it's going to do theoretically. It dors look sick though and the parts it comes with look great (I don't wanna see people complain about 9-60 being an old part when it's literally the best ratchet in the game, at least it isn't another 4-sided ratchet). Plus this makes the Impact Drake Deluxe Started technically the easiest way to get a version of Rush now, no longer needing to rely on more expensive sets or random chance wirh the Vol. 4 Random Booster (at least until Hasbro releases those recolors or even better they start printing more copies in Hasbro exclusive packs). It's still a weird release, but it will likely still be worth getting for the parts alone and the right launcher which will likely be an upgrade over the previous ones. Ghost Circle though...... This shit is so ass. This is the first time I am not excited for an upcoming Beyblade X release. The actual blade either has the potential to be broken garbage because of its round shape, or just garbage due to the fact it will likely have some weird nerf that will overbalance it like crazy. 0-80 appears to be the same too: it will either be super broken or super clapped. Regardless of how it turns out, I do not look forward to seeing this thing in battle. It just seems like it'll be a blade that feels terrible to use, regardless of how good or bad it is. Also GB is lame and I hate the orange they chose for it (if I ever get this, I am immediately replacing it with the GB from the Wyvern Gale RB). The other pulls have pretty nice recolors for the Blades, but the actual blade choices suck. Leon Claw is aggressively mid and has been outclassed for a while now, and while Wyvern Gale isn't bad, Rod and Wolf exists and people refuse to use anything other than those two because Rod and Wolf speak for themselves at this point. Plus we just got a recolor in the Phoenix Rudder set like a few months ago so we REALLY didn't need another recolor of Wyvern. The only actually good layer choice is Phoenix Feather, which is the only way to get one outside of that one CoroCoro issue, and the layer is decent since it's based off Dran Sword, which is also still decent even though other attackers have since surpassed it. Overall, very bad first impression for Random Booster Vol. 5 so far. The parts on these Blades better be amazing or else this whole set is cooked, fr.
I was really hoping they were gonna bring back Bump King as a reference blade with it being an aggressive attack type for the Halloween/spooky theme, unfortunately Ghost Circle is the complete opposite of that.
I think there's a viable niche for rubber on attack on beyblade X but it's for destabilization only. The higher friction of rubber makes it better at dragging opponents off balance. Low rush might indicate it's meant to go under the opponent and tip them over.
One Tiem I thought of a 0 ratchet for my imaginary beybalde but I thought it would be impossible to burst so I went with 660 cause that’s something that’s not used
Was predicting a weiss recolor but man the random booster looks hot ass. I was skeptical because they always make throwaway recolors that are purple like Rhino horn, wizard arrow, viper tail ect and have a habit of re-releasing easily available blades. Now we are getting reprints of blades available through hasbro which is more than pointless. Shinobi is dookie, we have already had recolors of wyvern gale semi recently with the rudder set, cmon TK. This is another Leon claw reprint in a random booster afer the red one that looks sunburnt. Overall big dissappointment for me when we had one of the better RBs with the blue phoenix wing and green wizard rod last random booster set.
I think in comparison to burst, the rubber gripping onto the opponents blade may actually be useful for destabilisation. the blades in X are considerably taller than previous gens, and i wonder if rubber impact absorbsion will help you stay up while knocking them over.

The naming for the cobalt series makes no sense. It’s supposed to keep his namesake and it ruins it evolution, like what’s the series of the Bey supposed to be called? THE BEYLINE - Cobalt Drake - Cobalt Dragoon - Impact Dragoon It’s a mess
I personally don’t like this naming convention for the homage beys, but to make it more sensible, the names for the homage beys are reversed so just think of Drake (right)/Dragoon (left) as the primary name for the homage beys like how Dran and Hells are. The colors (Bakuten Shoot) and the elements (Metal Fight) are placed like that for the naming convention to reference their past iterations from the past gens. That’s how I really think about it. As for why Impact is the new name for Drake is because I predict that the new variants for Tiger, Shell, and Garuda will also be references to their upgrades like how ImpactDrake is a reference to Dragoon F. Hope it all makes some sense.
I think the reason of why they picked those blades for the RB is the weight. They’re all light blades so that pretty much confirms Ghost Circle will be light as well. I think it’ll weigh 33 grams at most.
I don’t see this as a confirmation. Black Shell was a defense type(automatically lighter) yet its random booster set came with a Phoenix wing and wizard rod.
So now Khrome has 2 beys "cobalt" with cobaltdrake and cobaltdragoon and "impact" with impactdrake unless the naming system gets changed, low rush seems like a better rush to be honest since you typically want attackers to be lower I hope they make the gears on rush better for wear and tear but I dont mind if they dont its not too big of an issue
Impact drake is very cool. The plus point is that, even if the blade ended up trash, ita ratchet & bit are definitely still a warrant purchase. Hope to see you get this set on your hand soon. The new random booster is a ... messed up shet. The blades in the lineup don't look promising, and the ratchet / bit for other non prize bey is still mystery. No high hope for this booster, but if TT put in some valuable stuff like Rush / 60 ratchets, it might makes this random booster redeeming.
GhostCircle will probably be clapped, if you look carefully the plastic hooks (idk how to call them) are not alike and the blade seems off-centered, I hope the weight will somehow saves it but I don't have high expectations... TT did not cook with this one
My question is if ur going to start giving evolutions to the drake line, why make it look more like dragoon? Like the color, the motif, all screams dragoon to me. Either way it’s still gon be a banger of a stock combo as long as it’s 36g+. Low rush sounds even better than rush, with 9-60, this is gon be a crazy release
Just wanted to clarify this if nobody has this already, but GhostCircle is only 32g. Maybe the shape can save it? Also if u look at the side profile it looks a little top-heavy, I am hoping this bey is good since it has a sick design!
Ahhh, hard rubber. Reminds me of Dragoon Metal Fantom in the later part of the HMS line. That MW Grip Core had a rubber tip that was so solid, I initially thought it was actually wood or something (cuz it certainly ain't feel like no rubber!!). And the original Dragoon Fantom sucked serious whale balls, a complete downgrade from Dragoon Storm in every way imaginable. Bigger, thicker, wider, but somewhat fragile Attack Ring (more on that in a bit), same exact so-so Eight Wide Weight Disk & Left Spin Gear, Fantom Grip Base is much taller than Storm Grip and thus easier to knock over... But, while Impact Drake's Blade does look a lot like Dragoon F's Attack Ring, Dragoon F's red part was this crappy plastic subring that was affixed into place and was relatively easy to break over time due to pressure distribution from repeated battles (akin to the Blade Base clips of Driger V2 later on). I dunno...I just don't see Impact being very good at this point.
I don’t know if it’s just me or is there no clear vision for Arc 2? The anime hints heavily on the mysterious blue dragon but this month’s manga chapter will focus on the Pegasus blader. Also on ImpactDrake, who really asked for another Cobalt variant (ImpactDrake still has the Cobalt aesthetic) and the fact it will be owned by Khrome makes me very disappointed. This completely undoes his redemption arc altogether. He will be stuck with the same blue dragon for the remainder of this gen it seems like- much like with Bird being stuck with the Hells avatar indefinitely and contradicting his character design theme-wise.

That random booster ain't good if there's no rare bits like U, G, C
Pheonix feather 3-70 C, all blacked out.
The new ghpst bey looks like evil befowl
Ghost circle in ghostbuster green seems nice.
I would kill for a Sting Unicorn UX bey
I hate how skinny and tall the original Rush looks
So i liked Low Rush, and I think of it as the normal rush
Impact drake is very cool. The plus point is that, even if the blade ended up trash, ita ratchet & bit are definitely still a warrant purchase. Hope to see you get this set on your hand soon.
The new random booster is a ... messed up shet. The blades in the lineup don't look promising, and the ratchet / bit for other non prize bey is still mystery. No high hope for this booster, but if TT put in some valuable stuff like Rush / 60 ratchets, it might makes this random booster redeeming.
Honestly visually this is the best rb visually but part wise I'd say goes to rbv4 until we get more info about this rb
true wait and see
@zankye well the bits and blade colors def saved the random booster
Could it be use in a defense combos?
welcome back, Dragoon GT
I can’t contain my excitement about Impact Drake
Was hoping to get a left winder for Drake . But it’s right spin.
RB looks like a skip was really hoping for a Weiss recolor
Imagine if it has ratchet grip in the center too 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Im calling it, Ghost Circle would be the same diameter as Silver Wolf.
I would get a Shinobi Shadow for every color. Still waiting for a green variation.
Hey at least this rb recolor of the prize bey, for once, isn’t PISS YELLOW.
LOW RUSH??? Oh that's gonna go crazy.
GhostCircle will probably be clapped, if you look carefully the plastic hooks (idk how to call them) are not alike and the blade seems off-centered, I hope the weight will somehow saves it but I don't have high expectations... TT did not cook with this one
It's a right spin, so we are still kinda safe.
Black Shell purchases after Low Rush announcement📈📈📈
My question is if ur going to start giving evolutions to the drake line, why make it look more like dragoon? Like the color, the motif, all screams dragoon to me. Either way it’s still gon be a banger of a stock combo as long as it’s 36g+. Low rush sounds even better than rush, with 9-60, this is gon be a crazy release
Id imagine if the rubber gets in contact with a ratchet its a burst.
No one is talking about the thumbnail and title being a reference to Pegasus milking KSI. Just saying
It's just me or ghost circle look like wyvern gale?
Hearing this on lik wtf?! It’s all circles bruh
While it may not be viable, it still looks cool imo.
Bro learned thumbnail from the beast.
lol
Will Wizard Rod have more competition, or will Ghost just add to its strength?
I just saw a meme about that and that it was a joke, but Holy (BOING) it true!
Just wanted to clarify this if nobody has this already, but GhostCircle is only 32g. Maybe the shape can save it? Also if u look at the side profile it looks a little top-heavy, I am hoping this bey is good since it has a sick design!
what is there proof circle is 32g?
@@zankye Ye, take it with a grain of salt though since my sources can be wrong
December is going to be interesting to say the least…
yes
Still don't understand why they put Drake back to Right spin again
Because left spin is for dragoon I guess
now im just wondering when is ghost drake (peasents cobalt drake) coming
line up is kinda cooked bro they could have at least given us a buster reprint maybe wiss tiger
If it works for the rubber. Then youre gonna eat those words.
comment makes no sense because I went over two generations of examples why has never worked for what it is intended for advertisement
Is anyone gonna point out how the prongs on ghost circle are shaped in a way that look like it might be left spin? Or am I just crazy?
I love the new “this situation is crazy” style thumbnails lmao
moistcritikal ahh title
Colbat drake is best one then Leon claw then phenoix ❤❤❤let’s goo hype release December cooking in my birthday month yahooo ❤❤❤😊let’s gooo ❤️❤️🔥
is Drake's rubber specifically for dealing with 0-80
I think impact Drake should’ve had left and right spin
I dunno...I just don't see Impact being very good at this point.
yep I just think maybe for defense it looks cool but performance not sure low rush is based
I don’t know if it’s just me or is there no clear vision for Arc 2? The anime hints heavily on the mysterious blue dragon but this month’s manga chapter will focus on the Pegasus blader. Also on ImpactDrake, who really asked for another Cobalt variant (ImpactDrake still has the Cobalt aesthetic) and the fact it will be owned by Khrome makes me very disappointed. This completely undoes his redemption arc altogether. He will be stuck with the same blue dragon for the remainder of this gen it seems like- much like with Bird being stuck with the Hells avatar indefinitely and contradicting his character design theme-wise.
They have teased the organization that is trying to take over the world in the manga .
Wait is the new drake left spin? If so then why couldn't they make a left winder launcher for it?
