After spending a week testing this product, I'm sold. It's an upgrade over the Narwal T10, thanks to its ability to vacuum and mop simultaneously.
It has the same limitations as the Narwal T10, with what it can mop, but it's efficient.
The Xiaomi app is another benefit of the Dreame W10, as it offers most of the features you want from a robot vacuum.

The fact that the base station doesnt also empty the dustbin is what kills it for me.
UPDATE: I now have a base station that automatically cleans out the robot’s dustbin (roborock s7 maxV Plus) and love it. Would never go back!

Dreame has always been about maximizing the quality of the most important features rather than packing every feature inside one thing with decent to questionable quality.
How is clearing a dust container every two to three days instead of an obnoxiously loud sucking station a deal-killer? How incredibly lazy have we become? You need to untangle/cut the hair from the rolls anyway at some point so there is almost zero benefit unless you are extremely allergic to the point of heavy asthma.

@@Mat-hr1dg If I would upgrade to a pricey robot with a large station I most certainly would not want to sacrifice the ability for self cleaning!
Auto empty allows the robot to become even more autonomous meaning I would only need to interact with the bot every 2 months vs every 2-3 days.

Well, nice that you are so lucky.
My girlfriend leaves hairs literally everywhere and the cats don't help much either, though truthfully they didn't really make the existing problem worse so I can truthfully blame my girlfriend in full.
I'm still somewhat puzzled that you would consider it a Dealkiller though.
Regarding saving time: that's fine, but I don't consider an action of 10-20 seconds max, depending on where your trashcan is located, as a critical time eater that destroys the value of something.
      But you do you.

@@Mat-hr1dg You clearly never used auto empty robot, have you?
If choosing one to sacrifice, I'll certainly pick auto empty over self washing pad. Emptying the dustbin is much more annoying and incovenient compare to washing the mop pad. Dust clouds everywhere, defeat the purpose of having dust suck in by robot vacuum.

Is it capable of moving onto rugs that are over hard floors ? Also do you have to clear your rooms of furniture before you map it ? Seems complicated ... id want a device that can automatically map a room with & without furniture ... its meant to be convenient but looks like as much work with settings ect as manually vacuuming & mopping

  • @joshuachellew

@Cordless Vacuum Guide, as you explained, one of the key features of the W10 is the automatic mop head cleaning. What happens if you have a 2-level house and intend to mop both levels? I look at the specs of the W10 and it states that it can save up to 3 levels, however it does not explain HOW to operate the mopping for the multi-levels.
I have a 2-level house and I am contemplating buying the W10, however I am concerned that the W10 cannot realistically and automatically mop of both levels. So, on that note, would the following scenario of steps work?
    1. Place the base station on the bottom level
    2. Run the robot to build the map of the lower level.
    3. Run the robot to build the map of the upper level.
    4. Run the robot to vacuum and mop the lower level. Whilst mopping the lower level the robot will repeatedly return to the base to clean the mop heads. Once the job is complete the robot will return to the base station
    5. Pick up the base station (and robot) and place in on the upper level
    6. Run the robot to vacuum and mop the upper level. Whilst mopping the upper level the robot will repeatedly return to the base to clean the mop heads. Once the job is complete the robot will return to the base station
    Is this possible?

    • @CordlessVacuumGuide
      @CordlessVacuumGuide  Рік тому

Sorry for the very late response. The best option is to move the base station and robot to the level you need mopping, because it NEEDS the base station for the presoak and pad washing cycle post-mopping, since it doesn't have an in-robot water tank. If you only move the robot, the pads will be dry, which defeats the purpose of having a robot mop. It's the biggest con of having such a large base station and it's not unique to Dreame, but all brands with a do-it-all base station.

argument between mop pad in front or rear . I think engineer know what todo . for the robot with mopping only mop pad will be on the front to avoid liquid wet the wheel . for robot with mop and vacuum combine mop pad should be rear to avoid it wet dust before vacuum . I personally like the wheel on rear so no wheel mark . for the liquid you better mop it by hand before run the robot to avoid it rag over different area

it's really bad, I regret switching from Irobot to Dreambot w10. it vacuums very poorly, misses mass and it does not go close to walls and corners. the small brush falls off at very small obstacles. must drain and refill the water after 1 use. the dust container is very small and no indication when the dust container is full. mops the floor very poorly, has no sensor for whether there is dirt on the carpet. No google assistant. Not a good buy.
