It’s behaviour that really is lower than low. Thankfully in most workplaces around the country, men sexually harassing or assaulting their female colleagues is simply not tolerated. But in the mining industry, it seems that kind of unacceptable conduct is not at all out of the ordinary; it’s the norm. Just as shameful, when the women complain to their bosses, they’re often the ones who end up being fired. Now everyone knows mining brings in billions of dollars to the Australian economy, but that’s no excuse for men behaving badly.
